Very happy to hear Lady is pregnant. Bree and the new fold will make a beautiful matched pair. If Ken knew, I’m sure he’d be thinking, “ not another one to train”😊😊😊 Ken will be remembered as having a real part in making Baron, Duke, Earl, Bree and the new foal into beautiful working horses.
Duke was great on the trail. You’d never know he is green. As soon as you said Baron showed no interest in Lady, I knew she was bred. Congratulations Lady and Baron.
Yeah, she never returned to the stallion, and was joined at the optimum time. Foal heat at 9 days, not a time to breed, 3 weeks later and then every 3 wks they will cycle until bred. Bree was 1 month old.
@@donaldrath4415 Blood test said she is pregnant, I can see, she's carrying high and wide. Never heard of hay belly, not in a fit working horse. Grass is gone now so it ain't a grass belly.
Duke did very well today with Ken and the chainsaw. Skippy is doing very well and getting used to his surroundings in the woods. It's a joy to watch you Jim and Brenda train Skippy. God bless you Jim, Brenda, and William for working with you Jim. 🙏 ❤
Nice to see you folks out enjoying the weather and the horses. I waited 40 years to find someone and finally thought I had. 9 years later I'm back alone. Just got moved into my tiny shack this week, got some pictures and a little tree up doing what I can. No sleighing here yet, just rain really to this point. Have not had any inquiries for rides other than the rides in town for a local downtown business association, I think the financial situation here of a lot of people is going to put a damper on some folk's Christmas spending. Anyhow, lots of logging to do here also and plenty of work to keep me busy. Interesting how farms seem to migrate from one breed of horse to another over time! I started out with a Belgian team as my first team after working for someone else with Clydesdales for 5 years. Then I ended up needing another horse and bought a Percheron in foal from a friend, then she foaled, and then got another Percheron in payment for some hay, then my first old Belgian mare I ended up putting her down and then her mate caught the eye of a logger who happened to stop by for a visit, so that was my last Belgian, and been Percheron since. I choose them because they are so adaptable for me, farming, logging, carriage work, wagon rides in the city, single, multiple hitches, they seem so willing and friendly on the job with city traffic, crazy costumed people running around loud music, they just nod and smile and buckle down to their job. hauled over 400 passengers 2 weeks ago at night and half raining with kids running running right across in front of them, just plod along.
Thank you for the personal and business information Gentlegiants . My advice is wait another 40 years before finding a new partner .No sense rushing into things .😊😊😊
My guess is yes, Lady is pregnant. I don’t think you would have had her checked unless you thought she probably is. Skip is a very cute dog. He is so lucky to be with Brenda, an animal lover extraordinaire. Duke seems to be fairly calm and a good student. 👍😊👍❤️
Thank you for taking us along and sharing your day. The snowfall on the trees was magical. And I LOVE the news….YAY!!! Skippy is very sweet and learning. So many new and exciting things happening.
My guess is that Lady is pregnant. Duke is doing so well and I'm proud of him. I hope we have another baby filly. Great filming as always, Brenda and I love the puppy. Hugs to you both. 🥰
YAY!!! 🥳🥳🥳 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🐺the more I saw her and watched Lady-a mama’s gut feeling! Knew it all along. Now Jim u have your 3 complete teams: Bill and Lady; Duke and Earl; Bree and sister/brother- with Ken (slowing down) and Baron as needed ❤️❤️❤️ seeing how ur BEAUTIFUL farm is “growing” all around. Come to think of it u HAVE all the farm animals 😳😳 ❤️❤️🥰🥰🎊🎊
Sometimes in a snowy Wintery wonderland it's just wonderful and soothing to enjoy the Quiet and pens filled atmosphere in the presents of Loved ones, and to admire and enjoy Gods handy work.
Brenda you are the smoothest camera person I’ve ever seen! 8:23 sceperckydogs have been around along time. I knew a guy that had one fourt years ago. Looks just like yours!
Yes, I believe Lady is pregnant! Winter wonderland up there! It's beautiful seeing all the snow covered trees. Duke did very good on his first workday!😘 Have a good weekend. 👏👏👏Yeah, I guessed right...Lady is going to be mommy again!!!!!
Snow makes it so quiet and peaceful. Thanks for taking us along on the ride. That pond will probably be froze over before you know it. Love little Skippy frolicking around in the snow. He looked like he was having the best time…so cute. I hope Abby gets a dog soon to keep her company when she moves into her awesome home she is renovating. Congrats on the new pony to come…can’t wait. Bree was so cute as a new born. Man it looks cold out there…time for hot chocolate, or tea, or coffee, or soup….anything HOT…you guys are making me cold. 😁 LOL Take care! ❄️🙋🏻♀️😊❄️
Had to smile, watching Ken's ears twitch forward with every swallow at water. He's not the only one; a grand old lady named "Dolly" used to do the same. Her teammate, Tom, had ears cast in stone whe he drank. They're all individuals, after all. . .
Margaret . Brenda has stated in the past that , Jim and her met at a Bible study class many , many years ago . ( I thought it was a barn dance , but I was wrong ).😊😊😊
Love that pup. What a perfect environment for him to grow in. So much enthusiasm to investigate with his protectors right there to help him build up more confidence.
My guess is Yes she is. I hope to have another youngster. The snow trail is beautiful. Proud of Duke. Skip is adorable. I love to ride along with the horses. Talk is not necessary for me to enjoy the ride.
458 comments so far . When you ask , you get comments .Comments ranged from your puppy to the state of your marriage of 37 years . Wonderful channel Jim and Brenda .Keep up the good work .😊😊😊
All the animals behaved so well, especially with the chain saw. A fast learning curve for Skip. Have a great week end and thanks for the video, keep warm, that snow looks cold to me !
Congratulations on Lady being pregnant. I also want to comment on what a good puppy Skip is. The pond at the cabin is looking great, I know you worked on it this past year and your work has paid off. All you need now is for it to freeze. Thanks for the peaceful ride through the snowy woods today!
Skippy is such a fun addition to your place!! He's staying pretty close to both of you!! Bet he'll sleep good when you get home!! I saw a "snapshot" on the way to the broken branch...it looked black & white with the red chainsaw on the slid!! So pretty!! 😀 Before you said that about Ken by the pond, I thought it was a close turn, too!! It is just a beautiful winter wonderland!! So happy to be along! You guys are so cute!! Lol!! You're an awesome couple!! ❤ Yeayyy!!! I understand your reasons, but it was so fun to have Bree added to the farm!! As always, I love your videos!!! 😊💕💕
Ken is like a wonderful uncle who trains all the young guys in the family 😊 Lady I think is pregnant. Skip is adorable but I am fond of the breed even though I don't see them often
Cool video. Exciting time as Jim ponders on his work at Paul Smith's. It is challenging this decision, "should I go or should I stay now". I Pray for Wisdom and God's guidance as you go forward. I am compelled to say stay Focused, that same Focus that has led you to this place. This is The Holy Spirit, will guide you. Stay safe my friend. Amen.
Really really have enjoyed watching you took the team through the woods and to your log cabin remind me of when I was a child riding along with my grandparents through the back roads
I see another life growing within your beautiful Lady I believe. I am sensing a fluttering that does sound like a heartbeat but I don't feel a complete presence as yet!
Printaboul = Gaëtan When you addressed the talking to each other matter, it made me think about the coming soon of Chrismas... Those moments in this type of environement, kind of induce praying ... Speaking of coffee, I often watch your videos in the morning, having mine, Peace on you dear people, and to all who are dear to you ...
I'm hoping for a stud colt that will ultimately be gelded and paired with Bree as a team. And I hope Brenda and Jim keep making these videos for us to see it!!!
I commented back in September with Bree’s foot trimming that I thought Lady was pregnant. Just had that look. But also noticed over that past couple months that Baron was not showing much interest in her. I am sure he would have been showing signs if she was coming into full heat again. Congratulations on another new beginning.
I did not post my thoughts in the beginning of the video when you said "post your thoughts" but I did think Lady was in foal. she looked it to me. great!News and today was also another great ride out to the cabin and thru the woods/trail and I agree sometimes when you 're on those rides it's just nice to be quiet and take it all in. I did anyway thanks for sharing and again congraduatins on Lady's pregnancy. ECF
Great news on Lady,lm so so happy.Do you think you might get another black horse to go with Ken as two blacks do look very impressive...Still missing Buck a lot.Warm hugs dear friends 🤗💞
I think he’s downsizing because the Percherons are so hard to harness because they’re so tall. but I agree, another black Percheron would be gorgeous with Kenny.
PG here, That was a lot of Fun. This time next year Skip and Duke will be fully trained I'm sure. Well worth the little time of being patient with them. The pond looked Great for ice skating. So Happy! 40:00 Lady is bred!
I don’t know about the rest of the viewers, but you have also trained me to be observant of each horse’s movements and watching them as individuals. Duke needs to pull more according to the evener!!
I think I enjoyed the ride as much as You did. >>>The serenity, and peaceful surroundings, as well as the snow, the forest, the horses, and skippy, made this video most enjoyable. >>>I am looking forward to this winter sleigh rides. Wishing You both the very best, Jim and Brenda.
Glad Lady is prägnant. 😊 will be a nice Addition to the farm. By the way to let you know, I need to resubscribe every time I watch your Video. Guess YT is messing with your channel. Love your videos ❤

The farm looks beautiful with the snow. Skippy is doing a great job and so is Duke. I have no idea about Lady but, sure would like to know. Thank you for sharing. Have a blessed day.
A lovely sleigh ride into the woods. I enjoy all of your videos but I think a ride in the woods is my favourite. This one made that much better because of the snow. Just beautiful. Thank you!
It is so beautiful out there I'm glad you took us for a ride out to your cabin it is so beautiful out there I'm glad you took us for a ride out to your cabin
She is preggers for sure.I see that glint in her eyes.and by golly that pup is doing fine what a nice doggy. He’s bright and engaged following along. There’s no place like a farm.
@2:45 Lady looks pretty thick in the middle, so I think she is bred. Hard to think Duke is already working in the woods! He has grown so much. Ken has been such a patient boy working with the Suffolks, lol. Thanks for the updates. Now, back to the video
My guess is yes!❤ ❤ ❤ Hurray! I'm very excited! Little Skip is doing so well! He will have your routine down before you know it and I bet you both will wonder what you ever did without him!
