I should point out that the Indominus Rex has a lot of Giganotosaurus DNA in its creation, so it kinda makes sense that the Giga has some features of the Indominus. I do however agree that it makes no sense for the Therizinosaurus to have raptor claws.
7:43 oh it used to be even better, back in 2012 they released some DINO sets and the big set there had 3 Dino’s an entire capture compound, a Helicopter, a small car and 4 character with two unique.
I'm dissapointed that lego decided to recycle some indominus rex and indoraptor pieces to make the Therizino and The Giga. At this point, i decided to stop collecting lego sets that are made with recycled pieces and shoved with an expensives retail prices.
Aside from the disappointing Dinosaurs, the sets that come with them are also pretty lackluster. Like, if I did buy Ghost's set, I wouldn't even bother with building the scene, just use the parts to create something else
I will say Im reletevely disapointed at these sets. The inflated prices,the small amout of pieces for how expensive they are and the fact that things like the Quetz is so limited in its movement. As for the other dinos I dont mind the new size mold for raptors cause its more in line with what we have the raptors be in scale to the humans in the movies. But I do wish the arms at least where mobile. Also pretty sure the Pyro should have been the size of Beta figure cause it really looks to be tiny. Like it looks to be a bit taller or just about hip hight to the human cast. And Beta ofcourse to be accurate sized would have to be the size of the baby dinos which idk why they didnt do would have been cheeper than a bran new model. But other than that its fine.
About the Dino mold thing. Well they did do a baby raptor mold with Blue’s colors for the Mecha T.Rex for the Legends of Isla Nublar(I think that’s what it’s called), but it was more to represent just Blue. Just using that mold for a different character could cause confusion, even if it made sense in context.

these new dinosaurs are actually the correct scale, and despite their limited movement are the only ones I am collecting to mix with vintage. Most of the Jurassic line just seems like an expensive way to sell dinosaur toys, but some of the dinos are fun and worth picking up aftermarket.
I really am disappointed with the wave compared to the older set's the giga is just an indominus they gave the Therizinosaurus a sickle claw the paint job on almost all of them are awful the only one worth buying is the blue but that is still overpriced
You were literally speaking me at 7:40 to 7:50. My opinion on these sets are similar to yours. I have the Atricraptor Bike Chase, Pyroraptor & Dilophosaurus Transport, Blue & Beta Capture and Giganotosaurus VS Therizinosaurus set. A very solid 7.4 on the sets I've had so far. 1: I'll start of with the P& D set. The guard wasn't necessary and was a Jurassic World gaurd there wasn't even one in the movie obvi so they could've replaced her with Ramsay since he helped Ian leave and find the others, they should've made more space at the back of the Jeep so you can fit in 2 more minifigures and they should've added an extra wheel at the back. 2. Atrociraptor Bike Chase: This one is really good in my opinion but they could've replaced the Baby Dinosaurs with the Lystrosaurus, Young Carnotaurus and Young Prosthetic Arm Baryonyx if you know where I'm going with this one... 3. Blue and Beta Capture: This one is also really good, the Pickup Truck is very accurate but they could've put some mores mall grass baseplates and bushes. 4. Giganotosaurus VS Therizinosaurus: This one was really disappointing with the Dinosaurus and the buildings. They could've made the building a.k.a Lab bigger with one more story and the Observation Tower more bigger and circular and they should've added some fire peices, insect peices (for the Giant Locusts) and added atleast a few Trees, the BioSyn Helicopter is really good but not that accurate but it is still a very good set to play with!
I think that the Dilophosaurus and Pyroraptor set is kind expensive because they have to make two new molds for the Dinosaurs, and the fact that there are more minifigures.
would've been really good but lego is too lazy and just wants the iconic dinos because they know it appeals more but because of the carno it will give attraction but again lego is too lazy to make molds and different body scales for the allo and carno and the carno's broken horn head mold
Besides the price i think the plane looks cool and i like how the jeep looks but they where really expensive and it suprised me how little parts there where for the price but besides that i do think they look good but juet should be cheaper
at this point it's really disappointing because I bought the giga v theri set for 154 usd but the set was anticlimactic it was small compared to that one carno gyrosphere truck thing I got for like half the price and that was really good because it had a gyrosphere, 3 minifigs, a carno and baby, a whole truck thing and a gyrpsphere push thingy on a tree with a trap door this is really disappointing like con least you could do is make new molds and make some more character exclusive sets, more sidebuilds or make the main build bigger for the bigger sets then I would believe the price someone said that the t rex in Malta could've been replaced with an allo v carno chase and I agree as that would give a new carnivore since we've been getting t rexes, barrys, indominus but with a small sail/slightly bigger spikes, recycled or recolored dinos and no articulation small bird thingies and a big but flopped quetz sadly lego is too lazy to even make new molds and and more accurate carnivore comparisons also although jp3 is heavily hated I really want some dinosaurs from there and some sets like the bird cage area or maybe something like the spino boat scene that would be really good for a set For the atrociraptor chase with the fighting dinos I would completely make it a fighting arena set with the prosthetic barry, baby carno, lystro, and those 2 baby dinos it already comes with then make a few market like stands with the same 2 figs fighting in the middle of the mini arenas for the babies and sell for idk 20 like the regular or 25? I would only buy the blue and beta set and the atrociraptor chase set but yeah your choice
Normally on eBay people sell the dinosaur separately for for the Price same almost or more as the set that might be the reason why the sets are so expensive
I’m still mad lego didn’t make like a feathered velociraptor for the pyroraptor or they can also repaint the body of a velociraptor and change a bit with the head mold then it would make a great Atrociraptor but Lego is like F that I’m just gonna make them weird they can’t even move there legs nor their arms and I don’t even wanna talk about the Theri For Giga they did alright the torso mold is great they use the Indo head which is reasonable but they used T. rex arms for the hands,nah man give my boy Giga some indom arms it will fit quite well but for Theri bro Theri is just a mixture of recycled piece ,well the head and the arms are good while disappointment hit hard when u see its legs and Lego u did it again the freaking sickle claw u already did it with the baryonyx and now u did it to Theri.
i do agree the sets are overpriced im rlly disappointed but i think i will still buy the giganotosaurus and therizinosaurus set even though its 150 dollars or more but i love the dinosaurs that come with the set so im gonna buy it but i agree the sets are too overpriced

The sets are pretty bad and on top of that they far too expensive for what you get. I guess the only upside is that the dinosaurs tend to sell for almost as much as the whole set they come from.
It's just different because different countries with different currency will have higher or lower prices. Along with Lego increasing the prices of preexisting sets.
