I want to move there...the prices you paid for most of your haul were so much less than we're seeing here in the states!! Nice haul, looking forward to the squash recipe!
The good thing about Aldi and Lidl is to save money they source most of their products locally. Very low air miles in many products. Also they have an excellent selection of EVOO, nuts, etc. Also frozen is quite good and wines, etc at excellent prices. One big drawback on ALL supermarket shops is the amount of plastic on fresh produce. It's bizzare. On the continent and frankly even in the US most veg are not in plastic.
I've tried looking in Aldi in my local area and there's vegan ham and a vegan chicken slices. I thought the vegan ham slices I got was very poor quality. I've never seen tofu in either Aldi or Liddle come to think of it.
Aldi and Lidl are actually siblings there brothers and they don’t talk no more so opened up two supermarkets battling against each other the shops are named after them
We must have gotten fairly unlucky with the stock of the store we visited 🤷 We’ll have to give it another go since there’s a few other Lidls in Bristol. Have you got any tips? What are your fav vegan Lidl buys?
