Cause he's the healer version of one shots and Mei. That's the best way to explain it. One shots don't give you the chance to fight back. So it is frustrating to set up and time your atks for Lifeweaver to say "nope" Its very unfun to play against but very fun to play with if you enjoy babysitting your team (I do)
@@bored7923 Tell me you don't play mercy without telling me you dont play mercy. Most of the time you can't res unless whoever died was in the backline, nevermind trying to res tank cause they are always waiting for the mercy to try res. Meanwhile lifeweaver has less down time, can use skill from very far and changes the position of the ally often to a higher ground or the backline. Res has it's risk and rewards. Lw skill doesn't need that much skill
@@Griff_yy the ult counter, saves he can do is great.... Zarya and Orisa double check before ulting... Rein too. his counter play potential is great, the issue is that too... he is a defensive reacting hero... depends too much on other peoples actions to have value. But when you get a good save, it's great. People often focus him, so that they can do a play safely. More often than non, I feel like, I spend the game running from flankers and tanks than supporting XD
First time I’ve even heard Lifeweaver slander since his buffs post launch. To me he’s the perfect support for someone who’s lower elo. Being able to bail out teammates who are unreliable (or just when they mess up big time) and negate ults and important abilities that can enable the enemy team is the most important factor in who I play on support especially since a lot of fights just boil down to which team can sustain themselves longer, rather than getting decisive picks. I understand how higher players can call him a bit underwhelming since a lot of higher support gameplay is enabling your team and applying additional pressure to your enemies. But calling him useless and bad is definitely overselling it.
I’m a Lifeweaver main and I honestly, both sides of the argument are correct. Lifeweaver has a lot of fundamental issues that make him really hard to play with and build a team around (at least in the higher ranks). On the other hand though, Lifeweaver is the only character in the game that can stop upwards of like 4 ultimates simultaneously if all abilities are used properly. Great video by the way, I love seeing good Lifeweaver gameplay.
this could be just me but lifeweaver could skyrocket to B or A tier if hes life grip has a cleansing effect like suzu or hes base healing can give overhealth up to 50 only on squishies I dont think tweaking his numbers would solve the problem its the utility Lucio has speed Zen has discord mercy has rez and dmg boost I know you could do some stuff with petal platform and lifegrip but its situational and requires more coordination
LW just heals and save people eventually. He don't have any offensive abilities and OW2 is a fast paced game, if don't help win fights you is a bad support.
@@Griff_yy then start playing without a controller and surprise.. youll perform better. Just like with lif- actually do what makes u have fun. Nice clips.
