If Luka's overall statistical package was better than Nikola Jokic's overall game, and it isn't, I might agree with the sentiment that Luka was being overlooked. Jokic does it all, and is extremely efficient with true shooting of 64.7%, as compared to Luka's 61.7% (a great stat, but not equal to Jokic's). Almost all of the stats, advanced included, are like this. Luka scores more points, but shoots appreciably more at a lower percentage. Luka also has .3 more steals and .8 more assists than Jokic, who has 3.3 more rebounds per game and .3 more blocks. Luka is a great player, but there's a reason that most of these "Luka = MVP" videos don't really mention 2 names: Nikola Jokic and Kyrie Irving. Jokic because of his stats, advanced and otherwise, and Kyrie because he is the all-star on the other side that Jokic doesn't have.
but it is better , delusional people think Jokic stats better i would like to see jokic averaging 10 more points on Lukas volumes wile being most doubled teamed player in the league , so do not be delusional Luka carrying the team wile team carrying Jokic . last games i have seen people just leaving Jokic open from three point line , teams defending Luka from the fckn car park . Luka player of the last month Luka player of this month Luka braking most records since Mavs healthy they on the 10 game win streak lost only to OKC without Luka by 7 points including win against Denver.
@@tadaskalanta9733 You can say what you want about the stats, but they DO NOT LIE. Look, it's nothing against Luka. He simply doesn't shoot the basketball as well as Jokic. Or rebound the ball as well. Jokic is the more inventive passer and play-maker. Jokic is also a better defender at this point in his career. Luka has Kyrie Irving, so don't try to play-act that Luka is just some plucky guy carrying the team all by himself, because that's not true, at all.
@@ramph1 It doesn't have to be this year. Don't play cute little games. Kyrie Irving is an all-star and you know it, even if he was injured at the beginning of this year.
OKC and Denver have missed 31 and 32 games of starters and high rotation players this season…Dallas have missed 130 So Luka has done more with less than both teams in my opinion…that said, I adore Joker’s game and am happy if he gets the award (especially as he was cheated out of it last year with all that xenophobic anti-Euro stuff from US media) The reason ppl are angry is that this year the anti-Euro campaign has shifted from Joker to Luka - ESPN in particular has given up on undermining Jokic so it has focused instead on discrediting Luka and elevating SGA I hope that clarifies a few things 🙏
