On no Bunny! The inks in that advent calendar are for fountain pens! It might be a really bad time trying to fill felt pens with it. You can use a dip pen to quickly try different ink colours!
I think she actually has the pens I discovered accidentally at Maido. They are very simple clear cases with felt inserts. You are meant to drop them into a bottle of fountain pen ink to saturate the felt cylinder. Maido included them in the Maido in a Box as a way to use their ink samples! They're very strange, but pretty damn nifty.
😍 Love this stationery haul, TWSBI now also have a Glow purple as well as the Glow green released for Halloween. Get ready for your fountain pen collection, ink collection and journal collections to just grow and grow! Enjoy, and if you ever have any stationery based queries we're happy to help too.
Bunny, I hope that you end up loving fountain pens; it’s a fun hobby. If you do, check out Sailor. I picked up my Hobonichis for 2023 on September 1st from the official website, but I always wait until Christmas to unbox them (A6 is for lists, brain dumps, EDC; A5 Cousin Avec as an omni journal for writing, art, quotes, ephemera…super chunked up fun!) Btw, butter 🧈 washi is hilarious!
Welcome to the fountain pen world. Messy fussy and wonderous. I have used them since I was 10 and prefer it over any other. word to the wise, never load a fountain pen with calligraphic ink, it will clog. Use only fountain pen inks, there are so many. I think I have seen a glo in the dark ink but I think it is calligraphy ink. I combine two waterproof inks that I use to sign documents with my main pen. That way I can't be forged. Be careful, one leads to dozens they are so worse than potato chips.
I just thought of a cool idea Bunny, why don't you try to make your own washi tape? That would be cool! Maybe collab with a company like Jet pens and release a stationary of your own? I'd buy it 😊
Invest in an HP Sprocket! They have precut sticker sheets that are perfect size. They also have 2x3 photo sticker sheets. They work great in my Hobonichi Cousin.
To test out the inks I love my Kakimori dip pens (the steel and brass nib are both great) for a slightly less expensive but just as pretty option there are lots of glass dip pens online. If you just want to see a big swatch of the color you also could use q-tips or a brush. Some ink suggestions are Ferris Wheel Press in Double Raspberry, Birmingham Pen Co. in Chrysanthemum, and check out Gourmet Pens exclusive inks 😁

I love jet pins! You mentioned them a while ago, and I’ve been hooked every since😂 I’ve been watching you for years now, and I thank you for all the videos you make. I feel like you’re one of my true friends, even though I’ve never met you.
Dude, just get sticker paper for your printer and then you can print whatever size you want and cut them out. I do it for my book journal to print the covers of the books I have read and it's super easy...no template needed. 😃
I thought she was saying pins not pens. Once in a while she says it where it doesn’t sound like pin but not very often. It’s gotta be where everyone was raised we all have accents. LOL
Thank you Bunny🌻I can't wait to see what the ink pens look like when you write them🖊 I use to be into writing/drawing, but now my hands shake too much. I will be watching to see what Hobonichi is.🤔You look great in whatever you wear, you are a true beauty🤩👍
You could always make squigglevision art, have you ever seen the show Home Movies? It's very stylized. You can make some really cool stuff with shaky lines.
Omg I had no idea you were into planning, fountain pens, etc! I’m obsessed with mine (I make a few videos here and there 😜) , just jumped back into the weeks as well and I’m obsessed!
Ms. Bunny… my life is filled with JOY when I get to buy any kind of stationery items!…I’m overflowing with pens, pencils,markers,etc- oh, the joy!!! My other bits of happiness are any kind of flashlight or gadget that hooks, hangs or contains “stuff”… and one of the final Joys of life is a variety of bread, rolls with crusty goodness!!!
Have you tried the pentel dual metallic gel pens? I got them on jetpens and they are fantastic! They’re super pretty and they have a really high level of glitter/shine without being too inclined to skip around on the page. I’d love to see you try them out, I love these stationary videos so much.
Love your stationary hauls. I'm addicted to jetpens, but never heard of pen boutique. I'll have to check that out. The butter washi tape is amazing! Everytime I watch these I'm reminded I need to write or draw in my books more. Seriously though, need butter tape lol.
I use those same Avery labels for my honey jars for our logo, I use the glossy one's though & I love them. Maybe you could label mason jars to store your crafting/ journal stuff in,it would help you organize if you don't have something already. Happy Thanksgiving Bunny! 🦃
I love my Hobonichi weeks mega! I've tried using an A6 at home for personal stuff, and a Weeks for work. I use the Weeks daily, and rarely use the A6. So in 2023, I'm using the front of the Weeks for personal and the mega sheets in the back for work.
My goodness. This was a monster haul and so exhausting to watch in one sitting 😂. I’m in Belgium and been up since 5 AM… it’s now 5 PM and I’m not gonna be able to stay awake for 4 hours… I love you though!
Not sure if you read comments on here but look into getting an hp sprocket. It an ink less photo printer that works wirelessly through Bluetooth and prints pics from your phone onto glossy sticker paper. They are under $100. I got one for my mom and she loves it. The pics are small too, 2x3 I believe.
Look up Peter Draws here on RU-vid, he has a lot of information on fountain pens, their care, inks that work best with them etc. I got a muji aluminum fountain pen and the black ink he recommended. I bring it everywhere, fantastic
I quit trying to write everyday. I get too busy or I forget. I’ve found if I don’t put that “daily” stress on myself, I’m more apt to write. I do make special pages for people who are important to me on their birthdays. I’ve also taken to glueing my doodles and design ideas into my journal as well. That way I keep my yearly ideas in one spot. I also put post it notes and such with quotes I write down.
Hey gurl hey, Don't know if you have tried it out or nah. But Stationary pal is a great website to find some awesome stationary stuffs also they have heart bubble wrap its to die for... LOL you go girl
I forgot about the stabilo brand OMG my Mom would bring one home for me from work and I’d take it to school and was the envy. I seriously like them because of the shape of them and how the chisel tip is awesome to use!!!
My fave accessories for the hobonichi cousin come from these shops: the coffee monsterz co, planner monkey co, and I love using my canon ivy to print photos!
the planner struggle.... IS MY LIFE!!! I have moments of extreme time management followed by complete time APATHY which is not helpful AT ALL. I wish I was the kind of person who could just stick to a planner but I get BOARD and or overwhelmed and then I leave it in my backpack for WEEKS and feel guilty like the book is going to judge me!! I hate it but I need it it's nuts and the struggle is REAL!!
Only thing with that folder for swamp family mail... Japan uses the same sizes as we do in the UK. Metric. You'll be able to punch the holes in the correct places, but the paper will be different sizes. A4 is narrower and longer to your standard 8x10.... What I'm trying to say is. US letter size will be too wide to fit in the pockets in that folder
Love stationary hauls would love to see that cool pen working! I junk journal and love it you can make a cute cover for your planner would love for you to do a junk journal!! Love ya sweetie Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours enjoy your family!!💛💚🧡💜❤🌈💥🐰🐭🐷🐽🐮✌🦃🦃🦃...
As I’m watching this video…a few hints… as someone else commented- the bottle of ink Can be used with a nib pen ( there are many shapes and sizes- even made of bamboo) and a paint brush or calligraphy brush. Never use bottle ink in a fountain pen unless it’s for use in one. Newer fountain pens can come with replacement plastic “ cartridges”. As for your Avery label dilemma- try to use a full label sheet ( no separate shapes) and find a basic printer program ( like “Print Shop”) that allows you to fill up the page with as many pictures as you want. Yes- you will have to cut each picture out- but it gives you the freedom of choosing the size!
yay!!! stationery . .love pens too one can never have enough pens . . looking forward to the pen swatch and please show how to fill the ink have a Happy Thanksgiving my friend take care 🦃❤️🙋♀️🌻🌺🍁
Chiming in with the others…don’t use the empty felt tips with the Inkvent! Get a glass dip pen (or more fountain pens). JetPens has a lot of instructional videos about fountain pens that I would recommend. Fountain pens are really fun, but there is a learning curve with the maintenance. I have the same glow-in-the-dark TWSBI and it’s pretty neat.
Love your stationary haul videos. I bought my 1st Jet Pens order last year because of one. I also bought the Hobonichi Techo cousin to use for 2022 & did good for the the first half of the year, but then slacked off the last half. Now I feel guilty and wonder if I should go back to fill it in. I was using the daily pages for journaling/memory keeping. This year I bought a hobonichi weeks to try as an on the go purse planner. I got the cover with the bow & tie bunnies & it is so cute! 😊 I'm looking forward to your ink unboxing video because I'm thinking about splurging on a fountain pen for next year to use in my hobonichi.
I love everyting you got! I'd love to see you fill the pens, swatch the pens, and write with the pens! I love Hobonichi's too and struggle a bit using them...plus I suffer from FOMO...so I have all three sizes but don't use them to their full capacity. My goal for 2023 is to use more than the weekly section of the A5 Cousin. The Weeks has turned into the perfect work planner for me, meetings/deadlines on the days on the left and a to do list on the right blank page and the A6 Techo is the perfect size for my personal daily recordings of meals, happy mail, on-line orders, etc.
I'm a huge planner person! But I prefer to buy planner sets off etsy and add the pages to a 3 ring binder. That way I can mix and match, customize, and reprint pages as much as I'd like. I have issues using premade planners, as I worry about mistakes etc. Printing my own solves that :) (Fitness and wellness binders are my fav!)
I get the same way with my bujo. Sometimes I am super into it and love the creativity and writing notes, but then I will do nothing for a month. If I miss a month, I just design a calendar & financal summary page for that month.
Lol yesssss I do the same thing, journal for a week then nothing for a month 😅 That's why I like blank books without dates, no pressure and no wasted pages.
Bunny, I really have to emphasize what some other people have said- those felt pens are NOT going to work with the Ink Advent! You can use your new TWSBI for swatching the inks instead! You can dip the nib in the little bottles and use it like a dip pen, and then just clean it off with water after :) I really recommend Dromgoole's Fine Writing Instruments in downtown Houston or Kinokuniya in Katy for buying fountain pen (and Hobonichi) things ♥ Also, for any shimmer inks make sure to shake the bottle until the shimmer that settles on the bottom is all mixed in well! I'm excited to see what you think about all the inks~
@@Leanimal it's because the ink in the calendar is going to have a lot of shimmery material in it that will get soaked up by the felt. Technically she can use the pens, they will function, but it won't do the ink justice.
for the stickers, to make your own template, scan or take a photo of the sheet of stickers, put that image in a photo editor, then you can place your images exactly where they need to be to be printed onto the stickers.
LOVE the enthusiasm, and yes, we get that excited about a new color assortment of gel pens, too! We think luxury stationery, high quality pens, inks, and other supplies for correspondence and document creation are ABSOLUTELY worth bringing into your life! When you have a nice pen and beautiful paper, even if you're in your pajamas while you're writing, to the person who gets your letter, you're still well dressed!
