Madman was one of my first rare champions when I started raid almost 3 years ago. I’ve fed so many copies of him since. It’s great to see an old friend doing well! Lol

Working as intended. There is no nerf to worry about.

Madman becomes more viable with ally attack champions, longbeard (full team, ally attacks do a bonus 20%) and fahrakin (full team and brings extra buffs) probably being the more accessible options

Wow! Would have loved to have seen his gear though-I know you said it was end game level, but need to know how far off we are from what you have to determine if he is worth building :)

Update: Plarium dislikes fun and they nerfed him, no longer viable.

Just saw this from scratch the other day. Pulled many madmans but used as food of course. Gotta save a copy next pull.

Issue is they can’t call it a “fix”. They’ve repeatedly said Trunda works as intended, so Madman should be safe. If they touch that ability It’ll probably be the last push i need to leave Raid behind.

It would be a shame if they take the nerf stick to Madman. 130 million is a far cry from the billions Corpulant Cadaver enabled. Let a few rares have a chance to shine. He isn't so overpowered he breaks Hydra in an outlandish manner.

Seems to me like he's working as expected. The only reason I would imagine Palrium changes Madman is the perception of something being wrong from all the attention he's getting ATM. From what I've seen, it would be a mistake to change his kit or damage calculation. Part of being F2P friendly(ier) is that there are some rares that are exceptional if used correctly. It would be like saying, "Frozen Banshee does exceptional damage to demon lord and is only a rare, so Plarium has to nerf her." Of course that's BS - I think it helps the game overall when someone discovers utility for a particular fight. It's not like he's OP for Demon Lord, Dragon, Iron Twins, Shogun, Fire Knight or even Ice Golem. Spider could be interesting, but that's about it aside from Hydra.

_NUB READ THIS: I've been playing around and created a fun New Anti-Devoure Hydra Team..._ _If you have Valkanen you can use Sun Wukong which many have tried that already but,_ _...I've come up with a New Hydra Team using Valkanen with 2x Brakus & 2x Siphis & Wukong !_

I feel it is important to explain the math since I have heard about this a LOT....First off, a couple things: - Dmg on decapitated heads increase by 200% (3 times) - CAN crit - The 30% or 60% is based on hit (which is probably a crit) Now: Say all heads are decapitated. You hit Mischief for 1m damage. Trunda's stats includes 250% crit dmg (3.5 times the attack) 60% of that is 600k. Decapitation is x3 = 1.8m. When it crits, that is now x3.5= 6.3m For the example at around 4:40 in the video, Madman hits for 440,474. 30% is 132,142. 200% of that is 396,426. Judging from all the damage numbers seen in the video, i would guess your crit dmg on Madman is around 300%? Possibly as high as around 330% maybe? If so, then the math is EASILY explained. And as someone who does pretty well investing in the stock market...i agree, you would be extremely happy to have me help you lol. Anyways, hopes this clears things up. Why even bother doing a video like this? Made us lose time waiting for a build which never came. Thats a bit unpreofessional

It isn't the champ who's broken. It's the coding and calculations behind it all. once that's fixed, all "broken" champs will be working as intended (i.e. Trunda). Also, restricting the Hydra Clash so it has no duplicate champions will level the playing field quite a bit.

I have him at 50 with a 5 star blessing. Always suspected he had potential, just didn't have spare resources to build him beyond 50 and fw usage, f2p has to prioritize strictly. We'll see if I'll get around to 6 staring him after Lydia is secured.

Awesome I have been hanging on to my 5 star madman who was one of my first 5 stars for for over 2 years. I just haven’t had the heart to feed him. Kept thinking maybe I will 6 star him for secret rooms.

How long until this "working as intended" champ is nerfed??

Since Madman "works as intended" and 30% equal to 3x more damage than the initial hit the proc is based on, I wish I could invest in Plarium dividend stocks "as intended". Given this "math" I would invest 1000€ with a divident return of 2% annualy and instead of receiving 20€ I'd get 2000€. YAY! I'd be smiling on my way to the back and back :D

One extra thing. He is great damage in DT secret room. The hard spirit rare is a tough room but he is great

Yea this 30% bullshit is intended but Emic did realy need a nerf because a hard to do void legendary fusion should get nerfed because he makes a rare too broken... and then kadaver still got nerfed and emic never rebuffed.

Ugh. As much as I'd like to build this guy up, just having more than 1 team that can do more than 5-10 million damage is a pain in the ass. The whole thing of having my buffs constantly being stolen, then fear on top of it? This is definitely a thing for people that've been playing for years or Krakens.

My honest opinion is the Hydra game mode is broken. I personally believe it was released without full testing and has way too much rng. The damage of Trunda and Madman can be fixed like they fixed it for Spider Hard. Since Hydra game mode is broken there will always be another champion someone finds to abuse it.😂

2:48 not saying this is working as intended but there is one detail. The HP and Def of hydra head are not the same and there will always be some difference in damage. Im not that into hydra so im dont really know who has more defense or hp but im pretty sure that the damage it will deal will be different in all heads

This is interesting, I think he's probably strong in an an auto team too- with Trunda there's a lot of luck as to whether her abilities are going to actually be off cooldown when you have heads decapitated. This guy mitigates that a bit. I'll probably try him out.

I kept him as my rare faction guardian after hearing about him hitting pretty hard in the early days, might be worth building him since I have a 4 star soul on him.

Ive been looking for another dps champ for a 3rd hydra team. This is the perfect option for the team tbh. Somehow i managed to have a copy saved for some reason so im excited to try it. And yeah force heads have been my biggest issue so this is sick.

He is doing more damage by himself then my whole team on hard. Whether he is great or not, he is an improvement for me.

People shouting for cadaver nerf from before, congratulations, not only it did nothing, but also introduced more cancer teams. Clearly the stupidity from the side of the community knows no bounds, now that we have established that, is Plarium going to reinstate cadaver and Emic to their former glory and fix Hydra clash from another perspective instead or they want to continue nerfing champions because new broken strategies are just going to be introduced and surely there will be new cry babies from the player base emerging now and then.
