I'm working exclusively with MAUI for an internship program. I'm learning about it everyday, we will see if Maui will actually turn into something that can be used for actual projects in the future in our company

Nice intro to MAUI. However hasn't Microsoft said they'll stop supporting Xamarin after May 2024?

After I updated to .NET 8.0, I encountered an error when creating a new project or reopening an old one. (XA1018 specified androidmanifest file does not exist)

Haha, that is common with Xamarin: *you should never update* . In fact,it is practically a meme on its own (and MAUI is the same). There are some methods such as deleting stuff and recompiling other stuff. It is a mess on its own, and it hasn't been fixed in a decade.
