Long take here, but: What I’ve been thinking is that as long as there’s no outside interference the different outcomes are not harmful anomalies, but I think it goes a bit deeper. I think the change has to naturally make sense in the universe for it to be allowed, for example, Gwen’s dad learning she was Spider-Woman was technically an anomaly since it was caused by outside interference but her universe is safe because the outcome makes sense in their context. If at any point, for any other reason her dad had learned who she was, without Multi-verse interference, he would have probably acted the same way, so an anomaly was not detected because that outcome would have been achieved naturally. Same thing for Mayday, she’s there because of Miles’s interference yes, but if at any point Peter B. had wanted children on his own she’d be there naturally, so no harm done. This is not true,however, with Pavitr’s universe because Miles’s intervention there was direct, his actions had an immediate result that Pavitr would not have been able to achieve on his own because by that point it was too late, and so his universe started to crumble immediately. Same thing with Miguel, the universe he hijacked was destroyed because by the time he arrived the Miguel from that timeline was already dead so there was no way he would have been able to go on with his life. And you could argue that said statement also applies to Miles as a Spider-Man, but the thing is he WAS bitten by a spider that was not meant to bite him, yes, and although that could be considered an anomaly he DIDN’T become Spider-Man until after the Peter from his universe died. So there was no crossing the line and his universe might have taken it as a “clean slate” scenario since a new Spider-Man in the same universe as a pre-existing one is not necessarily impossible, i.e. Miguel is not the original Spider-Man of his universe, but by his own standards he himself is an anomaly that is allowed to exist because in the context of his universe it makes sense. The thing is, even as an anomaly he is harmless to his universe and the Spider-verse, and so is Mayday, and so is Miles.

Oh! Your right! You know, in that perspective, fatherhood might actually take up an important role here since there is such important fathers surrounding Miles. His own, Peter, Miguel, Gwen’s, and even the lack of the Prowler Mile’s father too. Fatherhood and probably it’s importance in the lives of their kids might shape up to be super important and could be the inciting factor behind a change in Miguel. Just a theory though.

Tecnically, the hole thing of spider-society is an anomaly itself, as every universe changes its destinies the moment Miguel got in contact with everyone (not to mention the rubik cube Noir got from Miles world). I think Canon events are events in the past that cannot be changed. For example, Uncle Ben’s death is a canon event and cannot change, but if an event is yet to happen, it cannot be a canon event due to it not happening

Mayday is a “What If..” anomaly. Her original story began in comics canon during the mid 90s Clone Saga. She “died” courtesy of Norman Osborn, and then was featured in the What If… issue #105 where she grew up into her teen years and became Spider-Girl. She then received her own series, which was supposed to be just a few issues but she became popular enough to continue. So yes, she’s an anomaly through and through, but this is the movie so that’s up in the air. Either way, I’m glad she’s here. 😊

every one is an anomaly. there are all the different universes because of alterations. to various canon events. Miguel is a SUPER ANOMALY himself. And it's all these anomalies that make the whole spider society such a diverse and beautiful place Miguel is taking his guilt out on Miles. The thing I've seen no one talk about, is that Miles himself isn't the original anomaly, the earth 42 Spider is, which makes miles the 2nd anomaly, not the first

As a matter of fact, the entire spider society is an anomaly if we follow this same logic. Miguel only developed the multiverse hoppibg watched because of the situation with kingpin, were it not for that there likely wouldn't have been any need to develop such a technology. He also wouldn't have cause a universe to unravel. The society exists as a response to the existence of anomalies like what happened in into the soiderverse so because of causality it is in and of itself an anomaly. It shouldn't exist and yet it does and doesn’t fuck up the multiverse.

Mayday exists because Miles inspired Peter B., but she was created in Peter B.’s world with his MJ, she was created in his universe, meaning, despite the fact that the reason she exists is Miles’ inspiration, she’s not an anomaly because she’s from that world and so is every part of her, it would be just like if Peter B. had a dream and it inspired him, or watched a movie, the source of the inspiration doesn’t matter, her creation was normal, meaning she should be normal too

Not everything that happens in an universe is considered a "canon event". It seems to be specifically stuff like "father figure who dies tragically to inspire the hero." An anomaly by itself doesn't seem to be such a huge deal... Unless it messes with canon events. It's not clear which part of Miguel's meddling unraveled that universe, but since he inserted himself so thoroughly, he probably messed up tons of canon events.

Mayday has existed in stories before, so her being around isn't an anomaly per say. As Peter does have a kid sometimes. So even if she wasn't likely to exist in that story she isn't an anomaly.

The reason Mayday isn’t an anomaly is because it was Peter's and MJ's choice to have a child, it wasn't a child between universes. Universes that self-destruct, like the one that Miguel lived in, or Pavitir's universe, wouldn't have been destroyed if it was a person from within that universe made big changes instead of an outside force like other spider-people.

There is at least one cannon event where spider-man has a child in the comics. So it falls into the realm of possibility. Everyone could be doing as many mental gymnastics as they can in this situation because Mayday is too precious to not be canon

I'm going to go with no she's not an anomaly. As things currently stand there is no indication that if Peter b. Didn't meet miles he wouldn't have refound his way some other way. Though if she is and I believe saying spoilers ahead is appropriate the reason Miguel doesn't do anything is because unlike miles who is an anomaly due to the spider that bit him being from another dimension, which cause damage to the mulitiverse and Canon events. Mayday is completely from her own dimension due to Peter b. Change and doesn't endanger the multiverse or any Canon events. Basically and to sum up what I'm getting at she's not necessarily an anomaly so much as a possibility.

With how Miguel acts with a teenager and his family. I feel as though the detail of who set peter on this track didn't matter in the long haul, as long as it happened.

Some people dislike that Peter brings Mayday with him, but i think he does it because he thinks that Magel doesn't know that she exists because of Miles, and if he found out, he may do something bad because he would probably think that she is a threat to the multiverse because she was created because of an anomaliy, so Peter stays close to her as much as possible in case he has to protect her from other Spider people

Well, Spider-Man Noir did kept the rubiks cube and Spiderham gave Miles his toon mallet.

I’m pretty sure all of the spider people miles met in the first movie are anomaly’s now because of the impact he had on them, Mayday exists for the same reason Gwen’s dad quit. We also know that canon can auto correct since it replaced blonde Peter with Miles in 1610, so there might be a way to circumvent some canon events after all.
