Great informative review mate, I'm a commercial pilot in Australia and have been looking at buying the latest sim to keep up to date with finer flying skills while I'm not flying, but I also didn't want to pay the money for a PC gaming set up, this video has guided me towards the cheaper xbox x option. I look forward to checking it out.
@TomatoFanny it's like 2500 bucks Australian for a 1660ti and a I5 10400f in aus. Economies shite, high build costs and we're an island. Everything's imported
Awesome video mate, I’ve been considering buying the series s for this sim, I’ve always wanted to play but just don’t have the money for a high level pc.
This is the game that introduced me to the XBOX Series X and because of this I have now discovered Call of Duty and Battlefield. Both of these games are simply amazing.
@valentino 1801 thats the part where he was talking about with the updates. As of right now, SU 6, u cant modify graphics(other than HDR) on the xbox x or S, on PC, the graphic settings and sliders are there, but since update 4 or 5, they feel like its truly not on ULTRA settings, even though u select it. But some PC users arent having any issues, so , its up for debate.
I say Yes definitely. I've come from my struggle station 4. To xbox series S and I love it. Get game pass and play this game. It's an experience. I highly recommend.
I’m so glad they brought the sim to the Xbox, just my personal opinion but I can’t justify paying the money out for one game/sim. Bought the premium version and so glad I did worth every penny just wish they’d add more passenger jetliners and liveries to the market place. Whatever version you get its so worth the money in my opinion
@@wesleyvaganee2417 not at the moment, the only way it would happen is if A) a aircraft is realised that includes Brussels Airlines or B) they allow mods onto the Xbox version
@@wesleyvaganee2417 hopefully they do I’m sure one of the devs said they’ve got a lot of 3rd parties that want to add their content, I’m just like you PlayStation all my life. Hoping for American Airlines since I’m mostly flying around the states
I fly on Series X and rejected the PC route due to cost. Being unable to install non marketplace content is quite a pain. I had hopes for Dev mode on the Xbox, but again that isn't happening. The need for a 'gamepass' for live traffic is lamentable. Lack of multi-monitor support is also a shame. As a UK PPL, I mostly fly VFR circuits and cross country VFR. Would I recommend? - Yes but some basics bug me ~ hectopascals for altimeters rather than inches(hybrid does not work for me) , American voices on radio in Europe, and the lack of a 'Meigs field' to fly from... Still looking for a BAe Hawk (100 Sqn) and Panavia Tornado for the Xbox version. Glitches are there. My favourite being shutting the xbox down in mid flight, going on holiday and coming back to find I have 240 more flight hours than when I left. Finally, installs are invasive and block use of the sim, I come back to MSFS and find what appears to be the same / similar installs being reapplied. I am not an Xbox gamer and never will be. Perfect? No but it is fun and is reasonable value.
I've been looking into flight sim set up ( a few years back I worked for BA City Flyer, not as a pilot but flightdeck services & was lucky enough to fly the pro sims at LHR ) I'm not into PC's or gaming just wanted a reasonable priced fly & go flight sim package... thanks for this video I've now made my mind up X Box series S £249 & Microsoft flight sim will be perfect for my needs 👌
My friend how are you doing I'm afraid not the hardware of the xbox one is not capable of doing that. However you can play it via cloud gaming with the gamepass sub . As long as you have a good connection and a region that supports cloud gaming
@@PMDG738flyer yes, you can play the game with the controller and it works well. I would recommend using a joystick and mouse if you really want to take it more seriously. Mouse will be easier if you want to use the autopilot functions.
I love mfs on xbox series x. I wish i could stream it so i could play on the go but i think that not be possible just yet. After being stuck in for practically a year its a nice way to get out an see the world. Ive seen places ive never seen before where i travel to in the real world and its made me want to go to these new places i discovered on mfs. Whats not to love. Last night i spent 2 hours looking for hippos in affrica didn't find any but it was still a relaxing stunning flight. Love it bug and all 🤣. Cant wait to see this game grow and only get even better.
How come you cannot click some of the buttons on the plane, example a320? Can that be fixed ? Also when using 737 max game crashes back to main screen ?
I am also that kind of person who bought an Xbox Series X on purpose and mainly to get access to a full Sim experience with no need to buy a much too expensive PC. Without these drivers problems, viruses, configuration issues etc. I am more than happy that Turtlebeach, Thrustmaster and even Honeycomb invest in third party devices and controllers such as Yokes and Rudders. Hope Microsoft and Asobo will not separate development between PC and console. Even if we may have to change to a superior version of high end specification console from time to time. It worth it so much.
And that's the problem. I've been flying this game since 1985, and we've never considered a game, but a simulation. Fact is, I've used this game to practice for my rel world pilot check ride. Now, they wanted to call it, a game, which it's never been.
cant find any online players on the game at all i feel they are on the pc instead on different servers made by community so it feels rather lonesome without other players on the game
I’ve been using the sim on Xbox since late 2021 and since it was my first real sim, (before that, i used infinite flight) I was very happy with the default planes for a short while. But quickly, I wasn’t satisfied with the planes. When the a310 came out, I flew that plane so much because it was the only study level plane we had. I flew it so much I got sick of it. In early 2023, I got very very sick of the lack of addons and it annoyed me so much I decided to get a new high end pc. I couldn’t describe how annoyed i was when I looked at the marketplace every Thursday just to see it filled with captain scam and pointless night sceneries with overpriced livery packs for the a310 and a320neo. I’ve loved this pc ever since I got it a month ago and I’ve been having endless fun with all the addons I’ve missed on Xbox. For any hardcore simmers like me, I really can’t recommend Xbox. The addons makes the sim pretty boring. Even tho now we have the PMDG 737, that’s really the only modern passenger airliner we have that’s high level. But at least Xbox now has the 787 and 747 which are okay to fly. The addon I wanted the most was the crj to do operations out of my home airport. Aerosoft said a year ago they were working on it but haven’t said a single word about it since. Most devs can’t bring their planes to Xbox as they run outside the sim and the ones that can bring it to Xbox seem to not really care, besides PMDG. The only positive I can give for console is that no matter what you have, if you have the Xbox, it’ll run 4K and 30 fps and ever since SU12 (or 11 I forgot) in March, the sim has been very stable and actually much more stable than my pc. (I don’t get crashes on pc, generally just get crashes when I don’t update my driver). The sim on Xbox never goes below 30 fps no matter where you are and since it’s console, its very simple and you don’t gotta worry about addons as it’s all in the marketplace. But these pros still don’t justify it. I think if you have the means, you should go for pc but if Xbox is all you can afford, it’s a mediocre experience, I’d say a 5/10. If you’re a casual simmer and don’t care about system requirements, there’s nothing wrong with Xbox but it isn’t good for hardcore simmers like I am.
This is the best flight simulator I ever played on Xbox, controllers are easy to get used to, I just wish there was a lot more free planes and a livery creator built in the game but other then that its a very good game and im loving it. Cant wait for MFS2024
I use the AI when flying the A320. Still learning the basics. When I fly in the A320 my thrust remains in TOGA and the plane bobs up and down- again I’m new and it may be me. I’d like to see a detailed A320 or 737 with all switches in operation. I’d love to see real life liveries. I’d love an upgrade for Manchester airport EGCC in the market place. Overall still learning and only flown 5 hours.
Is it just me or when climbing in an a320 neo on xbox the speed decreases and doesn't go to the speed set even with auto thrust on and the climb rate usually around FL 140 - 300 jumps from 2500fpm to -1400fpm and so forth suddenly and doesn't climb at the rate assigned
@@jakemcclean7062 don't put live weather on because that's what makes the plane do this I just tried custom weather and it didn't happen for once. Live weather is broken I think
@@amirbhatt2915 yeah I think it is to put live weather on in the day and said it was at night??? And I notice sometimes the times and dates are wrong. It’s a buggy game and things need to be fixed. Noticed in the airports there’s like missing see through walls etc. I also purchased airport environments for Europe for like £7 as an add on and it’s not worked at all
I am new to flight sims and initially thought it was worth it on xbox, but after buying a couple planes (F-15 was a big mistake) I would say if you have Gamepass then okay and don't spend any money on planes because you will be waiting a long time for anything coming to console, really turned me off from playing. I still do monthly group flights but that is about it.
Although Microsoft has other aircraft to purchase, some they just add to the base game. But the rest come from mod community. Some work great, others not so much. So be careful of what you buy.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s great on Xbox and super fun once you know what your doing. It sucks that you have to pay $20-50 bucks PER plane and Xbox only has like 30 planes you can buy at the MOST. PC has planes FOR DAYS!!! I’m so mad they are not releasing aircrafts on Xbox like they are on PC constantly and non stop. PLEASE HELP US ON CONSOLE AND RELEASE SOME AWESOME NEW AIRCRAFTS FOR US!!😩😩😩
I don’t like it tbh there are so many bugs which just ruin the experience for me so I’ve uninstalled the game until they fix them which seems like they won’t for a couple century’s do to the fact that they don’t know how to
@@PilotStudd it was didn't you hear? They talked about releasimg it on last gen consoles wich measn it was realeased on xbox one X/S. Most people don't really knew about this so i don't blame you for not knowing.
Do not buy this you’ll only be disappointed Consistently crashing, freezing If it ain’t compatible on Xbox then don’t release it on that platform. It’s rocket science ffs.
@@mrjones29 i was going from egll to jkf on the boing 747 i put 79% fuel everything was good and 1 hour later the game pause and when i unpause the game the plane just falls then i gain control but it happened again same with the a320
@@jorldan5440 Oh ok, sounds like one of those game bugs that's been happening since release day. The devs will need to sort it out and fix it asap. Are you saying you paused the game or the game paused itself?
There's no way a simulator of any kind should be priced at £60 standard price of a blockbuster AAA game like Halo or Call of Duty, and the add-ons DLCs costing £25 per drop is a ripoff. Am I to expect real life looking sims of Goat Simulator and Train Simulator costing this much in the future too? MSFS2020 does nothing new and the clarity of the globe is better experienced on Google Earth with a lot more control. These are my only real gripes with the game as it is astonishing with the full setup controls and big screen.
Hi! I believe you’re not established with flight simulation then, even with train sim DLC is what you call expensive, Goat Simulator and even Train Sim are in no way comparable to MSFS, this is completely open world with numerous highly detailed aircraft, and is used for real world training. Flight simulation is expensive but completely understandable with the exception of some cases of course, I think you completely understate the great feat of adding detail to the whole globe, plus you can always get it on gamepass. 😃
@@PilotStudd Sounds like you are attacking me for making an opinion! I've been playing flight simulators on PC in the early 1980s before you was born. The last great flight sim from Microsoft FSX is comparable to MSFS2020 from last gen graphics and that only cost £25 brand new. To can overlook my point meaning a sim is still a sim whatever the premise. I am not uninstalling one of my better games to download 147GB regardless as it's on Gamepass and with Battlefield 2042, Forza Horizon 5 and Alien Fireteam Elite due out soon my time will be there instead. I also don't prefer downloading copies of games as you don't actually own the game anyway, buy the disc copy and own it outright. As long as you enjoy it and it fronts your channel that's good for you and fans of the game you push, but my opinion is just mine and your video invited opinions from all. Or do we have to side with your viewpoint now?
@@mrjones29 I was just making the point that it’s always really been this way for the past part of the last two decades and that stems with flight simming and train simming! It’s a perfectly understandable point of which I wasn’t trying to completely counter just saying for good or bad that’s the way things are! And goat simulator is a terrible comparison…. 😂 I wish you a good day!
I mean its literally on gamepass and this game is technological miracle with the entire world to explore. In my opinion its worth far more than a subpar annual Call of Duty game. Plus the world and simulation is so complete with this game that you don't really have to buy a bunch of addons for graphics and airplane mechanics like with FSX.
Why would anyone want to sim on Xbox?? When the PC is oh so good and can be upgraded and GPUs and all that jazz. Console gaming?? Sounds ... well... childish. Sorry but I don't like it?
That's a pretty childish thing to say. Do you know how long variants of simulators have been played on consoles? I'd guess older than you. The Xbox is effectively a ready made PC in a box. Things don't need swapping out like gpu and ram like you love doing - that's just geeky.
@@mrjones29alot of these kids these days have ADHD, and unless they are shooting other people over and over online, then they don't like it..Not necessarily talking about this guy, but it really is the wayany gamers are these days.
@@markcarrico7908 I see, I never knew this to that level of ADHD. I do know these heavy gamers will attack you for just making a fair comment of a game they enjoy.
The exact reason you stated is why PC’s are shite always needing upgraded where as a console is pure class in a box where you can kick back in comfort and enjoy instead of being stuck against a wall at a computer desk with screen glow face. Flight Simulator has always been the most impressive game on PC and console’s pulling it off mighty fine 👌 Anyways what’s your issue with childish things? I’m guessing your into cosplay, that not folk dressing up as cartoon character’s? Could say that’s…well…..childish. But as the good host to the channel says each to their own.
I sm bot sure if you have covered this yet I get far too many you tube notifications per day and I miss most of them because of this My question have you heard anything about what flight sticks yokes and rudder pedals are compatible with x box series consoles are the saitek X-52 among those usable this will influence my decision wether to purchase an x box series X or I will happily stick with basic settings on pc with Microsoft flight simulator X a new tower would cost far too much money way out of my price range even for a basic spec if you have not already please do a vlog on this because I am sure I am not the only person wondering what will work on x box and what will not
