I was wondering why women’s fashion is usually setup by women and why women’s beauty standards are setup by women?

Women can actually wear almost anything out there, men, on the other hand, can't wear a lot of things, like skirts, or crop tops.

I spent 8 years of my early childhood being molested and raped --- I've had nearly a dozen therapists refuse me treatment, all but 1 were female. None of them give a single fuck about men like me, they literally have no empathy for us.

As someone who has been on both sides of the beliefs, that is not correct. The reason why they're so passionate about this is because they feel cornered - whether it's forced by media or real life experiences. Women don't feel heard or supported by men. It doesn't feel equal.

Similar situation here, but in elementary education. In a psychology class they called all men pigs, plus there was someone who kept reporting men for crimes they didn’t commit. OST of the guys said “fuck this culture, I was trying to help, but I’m going to just go do something that’ll pay/respect me more.”

They think It's okay when they do it but if you do the minimum thing to an LGBTQ+ person they will threat to kill you and make your life hell. Keep in mind I'm LGBTQ+ too but I hate most of the people in my community. The people who do it need to get their shit together

I've experienced the similar thing too, but I guess it's more like hates on new immigrants. I moved to US from Asia when I was 13, spend majority of my time in a white neighborhood, people were all nice and friendly, until I transferred to an Asian populated high school in LA for my last 2 years of high school. That was the first time I realized what self hate is, my Asian American classmates couldn't tell I'm a fob from my accent, but they isolated all the Chinese students who came from China, then during the conversation, I told these Asian Americans I'm from Taiwan, thinking it's probably like nothing. Instantly the way they look me is different, the way they talk, the tone they speak, you can tell they look you down, all because where I was born, and even though I was Americanized and some of them were natively born but have a stronger Asian accent than me, they hate the very existence of people like me. It took me about 1 semester to figure it out why. They Asian Americans are severely stereotyped in American society, and so they try very hard to shake off those Asian stereotypes that their parents brought to here. But people like me who can possibly still carry all those Asian habits and stereotypes to America, destroyed their efforts, our very existence increased the stereotypes of Asians to those non-Asian Americans, so they hate us for it, even though I'm a 1.5 gen(1.5 gen = people who are immigrants but moved to US when they were little or very young, usually before age 15-16, and more Americanized than immigrants who came after age 18) And now I do not like Asian Americans too, I don't know why, I guess this is what people called traumatized, or perhaps like you say I need some counseling. It's weird to me when I first realized Asians hating Asians, but now I'm in this too, I do not like Asian Americans or wanting to interact with them anymore, I always try to avoid them because I feel they're all the same. Funny thing is, this feeling disappeared when I go back to Asia, I don't feel people would look me down even though they have an Asian face. But when I come back to US, every time I see an Asian, the feeling just coming towards me, and I automatically dislike them when I see them. Maybe I should go back Asia

I think I read one time it's mostly narcissists that speak confidently about topics they know nothing about. My Dad is an award winning photographer who has given many lectures on the subject in the Southwest to gain his Masters from Professional Photographers of America along with winning 1st place in the Southwest in every category and yet today he'll have people treating him like they know more about photography than he does because they own a iphone 😳. Here is just one - men have the right to rescue if stranded on a mountain. Men rescue teams will not rescue if it is a lone woman. Even if she has insurance. This is documented in various countries, including Canada.

The only reason why you think it’s so ‘hostile’ is because you only consume negativity from us. That’s how the news works, it tries to get as many clicks as possible. Negativity is what usually gets the most clicks. Not to mention all the fake or over-exaggerated news stories about us. You’d be surprised how many times an article takes something out of context or overdramatizes something. But that’s what happens when you’re chronically online, you’re force-fed so much negativity that it feels like the world is worse than it is. Imagine if you’ve never had ice cream before, and your entire family hates ice cream. You may think that everyone hates ice cream. Until you find out that actually, many people love ice cream. It is when you get out of your echo chamber of negativity, you’ll find the truth. Just because the news about the US is mostly negative, doesn’t mean society has imploded. Why would a news article talk about normal mundane things? Because it doesn’t get attention. Imagine if I only listened to negative news about Japan, and nothing else, and started talking about “Oh japan seems like such a horrible country! All I see are these terrible news stories about such and such or something like that”. If I only consume negativity, rather than some negative and some positive, of course, I’ll have a biased view of Japan. A good example that you can look through yourself if you want: If you head over the the subreddit r/canada, most, if not all the posts on there are negative. Whether it’s housing prices, long wait times for surgery, the Chinese buying up all the property, people not finding doctors because many of them are moving to the US, etc. Pretty much all those posts on the subreddit are negative things happening in Canada, and all the Canadians on the subreddit complaining or wanting to move. Now imagine if the only information I get about Canada was from that subreddit. Of course, I would believe that Canada was some 3rd world country. Now im not saying that all the posts aren’t true, it’s just that it doesn’t paint the whole picture of what it actually is the live in Canada. Most Canadians are happy living there, despite what the subreddit makes you believe. You can’t let the news cycle give you a accurate representation of a country, you would think society imploded in every country with that logic. As a person that lives here, I and telling you, that society is doing fine. For the most part, we don't respect people like this enough to take insult - it is like a two year old calling us "poopyheads," but the sheer fucking repetition of it, the unoriginality of it, and the complete ignorance behind it make it a complete drag, like a song on the radio that gets played over and over and over. The states you hear about tend to have novel features of some sort which lead to specific kind of click-bait stories. Once they get that reputation, everyone is hyperfocused on reporting anything strange which happens there. Florida and "Florida Man" are a great example of this. Because something goofy happens, and it's in Florida, it's yet another example of the trend, which will absolutely draw readers in with yet another chapter in the adventure of Florida Man where he's shoved a wombat up his ass or something. These things happen in every state but because the state is not known as "that kind of place," it's less click-baity. One of the novelties of various states is some have very religious populations (Utah is famously Mormon). This is where the dumb obsession with pushing LGBTQ+ people around comes into play, or book-banning -- because it's part of a narrative about "religious places." Another is population density (New York, parts of California). Some are wealthier, some are poorer, and these churn out the most news stories. Then consider Delaware, a state famous for being forgotten about. Why do you never hear about Delaware? It is not a state of extremes. Stupid and ugly shit happens in Delaware, but because no one thinks of Delaware as "that kind of state, filled with a specific sort of crazy," it's less newsworthy, and you don't hear about it.”

USA isnt' the worst in the world, but it's competitive. Stereotypes aside, who wants to live in a country that's both expensive and dangerous. I was in a train just minding my own business when suddenly there's this crazy druggie guy that sat next to me making all kinds of threats, then he started to get a little too hands on, another man from the train saw this and immediately came to my rescue, he started to talk to the guy and somehow got the druggie to come sit next to him. Then he (the good guy) looked me in the eye between talking to the druggie, kind of like saying "go now" to make sure i get to safety. I think most people that call themselves feminists or allies have the same end goal and just differ on the path. I think attacking on many fronts is much stronger than a singular approach that allows the opposition to amount a strong defence. I watch a lot of political, round table and debate content (I don’t identify with a particular political party) and it always seems way more productive when someone comes at a discussion with curiosity rather than judgement and those people are the kind that always calm down both sides and reason with the other side in a more human way. I think the more people like that who have a voice the more we can come together. The problem is it seems we are addicted to conflict and would rather watch a debate or discussion where people are down each other’s throats or podcasts where one side just completely puts the other side on blast. Anecdote from my life: In most of the different professions I have had the women were absolutely garbage, and in one instance (that I know of) almost resulted in the death of several men. How? The pumps that were pumping out the gas from the enclosed tunnels where hot work were being performed was turned off, because it was making noise so it interrupted the two women topside having a conversation, so they turned them off.. My friend was down in those tunnels, and the thing that saved them was that after he almost collapsed and the place was filled with much more gas than usual, he decided to check what was going on topside, making this discovery. There are many more stories like this about women in the workplace.

Unfortunately that’s the society we live in today. And if he grows up being told he’s trash and a horrible person and everything wrong with society because he’s a straight white male, then that’s going to screw up his mental health immensely.
