If you plan on driving to Mont-Saint-Michel I'll show you thing you may want to know before you drive there. I'll also give you little history behind this historic place that has been around since the 15th century. #hiking#travel#howto
MONT-SAINT-MICHEL is gonna be worth visiting it FOREVER !! i been traveling worldwide, been living in 9 countries but every year i come back at least twice to Normandy. I found my place there , where my heart finally have said,,,this is your HOME. and Mont-Saint-Michel is a obligated stop. it's amazing to see from the distance, from 30 km away the sillouette getting bigger and bigger as you approach... just got this video as soon as i oppened RU-vid and it's the best i have seen. people have seen a lot of videos that seems like Disney to arrive there but the real thing is what you showed here, driving, super expensive parking, the weird two way bus, a lot of people and then the real deal. next time you go there i can show you some hidden secrets to have one of the best views from the coast and have a completelly different experience . best regards. @Pelayorico
Great video. We just got back and it was amazing. At 70 years of age, I made the 390 steps to the abbey at top and I guess that should count as a miracle! The lamb stew at the Terraces by the Bay in the shopping area was outstanding. I would go back again if ever in the area!
This seems to be a very interesting place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
We're from the area....last summer we tried 3x to find a parking spot and go inside. The one time we got in it was packed from wall to wall...very much like the Sixteenth Chapel in Rome. If you do come try May/June....
i recomend to go in December / Jannuary . it's like a ghost town and it's amazing. you can go with calm an see everything without people around. it's very quiet
Mont saint michel might have inspired Tlotr's Minas Tirith , but did they ever filmed here? I doubt it, most of their shooting is done in New Zealand , the Minas Tirith scene are mostly half size scale set and then the mega 1/14 scale minas tirith bigatures
From the research I've done, I think you're correct,Dry Creek Quarry is credited with the location of the filming, thank you for posting, have a great day.
Worth it yes...but the day I was there was soooo crowded with tourists ..I wouldn't go back in the summer time. The food was also the worst I have had in France...full of tourist traps.
They don't have a name for the parking lot but if you were to enter Mont St. Michelle you will then be directed by signs once you get closse to Mont St. Michelle where the parking lot is. Thank you for watching and commenting
You always want to go in the mornning when the crowds are not as much, as far as the time of the year to visit, go when it is NOT a peak season like Summer time.
