MKX makes me realize how trash MK1 really is. The characters in MK1 are weak in terms of design. Also the stages & soundtracks are superior in MKX compared to MK1.
Finally, someone who finds mkx soundtracks to also be amazing as well. I always never understood the hatred and criticism of people trashing on some stage musics like dead woods, destroyed city, emperors courtyard, jinsei chamber, krossroads, kuatan jungle, refugee Kamp, the kove, and the pit.
This game is amazing and all, but I won't forget the issues that the game does have like the lack of defense, the meta, the unblockables being a thing for s tier characters like scorpion for some odd reasons, and the footsies. Other than that, it is a 10/10 game
There is no meta, you just have to find a way to counter it, every character has their own strengths and weaknesses. Idk, I’m a tremor/alien main😭 my buddy plays lui kang, and tekkeda. Me n him are 50/50 on who wins. We play each other everyday. And try any character, there is no meta, okay maybe besides lui kang flame fist, and or alien acidic variations. But besides that you just gotta know who to play, and how to play against the specific character.
MKXL + mk11 graphics + mk11 crushing blows + mk9 characters which is not included in MKXL roster. And of course good balance of the game. And its will be the best fighting game of all time, no cap.
I didn’t play MKX. I skipped it and played MKXL instead. I played it for 2 weeks straight and never played it again. I disliked it so much it made me skip MK11 altogether. I was skeptical about MK1… but the tone was so different. I bought MK1 when it came out last September. Haven’t put it down since.
Everything about this game was soooo good. To the trailer, to the fighting, to the combos, to the characters/character design. The story. JUST EVERYTHING. Fuck mk1 I try to play that game now and then, I’m just like a lone child trying to figure out how tf the Kameo works half the time.😭 but I’ll give it some credit. Cool concept, and good game just not for me, who only focuses on a 1v1 not having to worry about kameos
We love fighting games for the attack animation(marital arts). Fuck mk11 and mk1, they should have kept this like Tekken or injustice, just improve it!
Cyrax and Dualist LK have some of the most satisfying combos. MKX had some severe cons but the game made sure you had fun when you were in advantage state, hitting the opponents with 50/50s and corner pressure.
I honesty prefer the dark low saturated look than the colorful background and stages MK1 has. It doesn't feel like MK anymore, even the sound effects sound less satisfying and the character feel like they're on the moon
MKXL will be the best MK as long as they stick the same engine they have for MK11 and MK1. The FLUEDITY of game play is why is it the BEST but also because you can play any style in MKXL. You can play Zoning style with Tanya or Kitana, Rushdown with Liu Kang or Nuetral with Kotal Khan. Each character has 3 variations that are all allowed in tournaments with one being Great, one okay and one Bad, like Subzero - Grandmaster is the Best, Cryomancer is Good and Unbreakable being bad. And funny enough, even the bad variations can be good too if you lab enough. MKXL only needed to fix 2 things: ADD MORE PLAYABLE CHARCTERS TO THE ROASTER like Shao Khan and Rain and Improve the Graphics. THAT WAS IT. And NetherRealms decided to switch gaming engines like the idiots they are to where now each character moves like a Robot pretending to be Human.
I would love to have the speed to do those inputs in-game. Honestly one reason i like MK1 is because the animations and button input time are slow enough for me 😂
Oh trust me you can hit those combos, ITS JUST VERY HARD😭I was in training for like 5 hours straight and I hit this very fast no bar combo that only does 36% but it leads into a brutality.👍😭 its well worth it but a pain in the ass
