For the people who are willing to go abroad. I know some independent Indian musicians and music producers who went to Berklee. Let me tell you the truth - IT'S FOR RICH PEOPLE. If you are coming from a middle class family don't waste your time thinking about it. Invest your money in good gear, build a decent studio, learn your instrument from a good teacher, get in touch with senior musicians. That will be worth it. Yes these universities definitely improve your musical skills and overall personality. But at the end of the day it's you who have to make a place in this industry. Those musicians and producers I mentioned who went to Berklee are still struggling same as other musicians. But they were already living a luxurious life so they are not concerned if they are making any money from their music.
Studying in top notch music institutions or universities can only benifit in one area, networking and connections. The improvement in craft isn't worth the time or money spent. Couple of my friends have been to Trinity and Berklee and they were only there for the networking and experience part not for the education. They were from rich families and had the resources. I don't think it's a good for us(middle class) to waste so much money and time.

Hi Shubh, I'm glad you found it helpful. As far as studying music here & settling abroad is concerned, you face different set of challenges then, your main challenge will be to get visa to work in US, how are you going to find an employer, for people who have some family member settled in US already it becomes comparitively easier as one can go there as tourist and during their trip they can meet different people from local music community & figure out themselves whether moving to US will boost their chances of getting work or not. It's going to be an uphill task though, in both the cases.

I am 21, Did my education but in computer engineering, but never felt like doing it for life. I want to know what are your thoughts on this. What should i do to make it reliable and stop from worring?
Sir ak bat ha ajkal internet par jo information ha na free main bo bahot ha free books . USA jakar jo study kare ga music production bo aap India main bhi kar sakte ho. Ha thora time Jada Lage ga but USA main bhi time lagega . Main ra to 3lakh main set-up hogaya and i am working regularly and started investing side by side money ka bhi problem nahe ha or music bhi kar raha hu 😊

My friend I'm from USA. If anything is going to help you in USA it would be either going to a music school in Los Angeles or New York. If you're going to go to school in Kansas City, you might as well go to a school in India for music.
if you're asking about getting a job then the most important thing is your final product/song, people will give you work based on your output, certificate and degree is secondary, be it from soundgym or any other service. Use soundgym to enhance your skills, it's great for that.
