Looks like you have dropped your socks somewhere in your hous, where them can not be easily seem. However, your washer can really “Eat” your socks. When you overload it, they can jump up and slide in to a hole betweer your WSM drum and rubber and go to a washing machine tube, after that they can come to a drain house filter (I am not sure that top load washers have it, but front load have for sure). If they somehow passed filter they will go to drain pump and, most likely, will damage your washer. But if you are very lucky, the will just go to sewerage system and you will not see them anymore. Or if you have a pets, maybe them have stolen all missing socks.😂
