Looks like she's hurt and mad that you cheated and is trying to have some sort of revenge and give you a taste of your own medicine. The best thing to do right now is to admit to your ex that you've effed up and try to be patient and sympathetic with what your ex is going through and just disappear from your ex's life for a while, because right now, you are a constant reminder of the pain and your ex needs to heal from that first. And saying sorry is not gonna fix that right away, it takes time. By cheating, you're automatically putting the ball in your ex's court and have lost privilege to take your power back in all this. I scored 75 on quiz , after month or so , i sent the " cooking text " which started a really good and flirty conversation , she started asking questions and later she bring up to meet me in 10 minutes to see me which I did not expect . They're not in a relationship yet but they want to be with them, apparently, he started liking them 6 days after we broke up (they work together, because of course). Your best bet is still to cut off contact completely for around a month or even more in order to clear your heads. You'd increase your chances of getting your ex back if you've got your sh*t together than if you were doing the opposite of the no contact rule which is begging/pleading or negotiating/trying to woo your ex again. Well, there are a few rare who take their exes back if you beg/plead but it hardly ever lasts since these people are taking their exes back out of pity. So my point is, don't let your ex take you back out of pity, all right? My ex broke up with me 2-3 months ago, i guess mostly because of my depression. I wrote an essay and asked him if he wants to meet up and talk. Brad you are the best! Love your content! One question I have is how to handle and respond to the ‘’I miss you text’’? I went no contact and she text me occasionally to ‘’see how I’m doing’’ or just say ‘’hi’’ and she hits me the ‘’I miss you text’’ frequently and I don’t know how to respond? Your best bet is still to cut off contact completely for around a month or even more in order to clear your heads. You'd increase your chances of getting your ex back if you've got your sh*t together than if you were doing the opposite of the no contact rule which is begging/pleading or negotiating/trying to woo your ex again. Well, there are a few rare who take their exes back if you beg/plead but it hardly ever lasts since these people are taking their exes back out of pity. So my point is, don't let your ex take you back out of pity, all right? I broke up with her for lying to me that she went to her ex mother inlaws house with her ex and there grandkids and hid it from me its been 7 months I havent let her see as much as a hair on my head. She is bipolar and tried to insult my intelligence by saying I didnt see what I saw . My ex broke up with 4 days ago after he came back from vacation with his family. We have been together for 1 year and 2 months and we were friends for a year. Can this apply even to LDR's? Me and my ex gf have been split for 9 months now. We've also been doing on and off no contact/radio silence. But as of recently, I decided to get out of radio silence and redownload my social media apps and I ended up seeing my ex post on her story on fb and insta saying that she was on a lunch date with someone. How do I get my ex back who won’t let me see her in person or talk to her on the phone? Stop all contact with him. If you don't and you keep pushing it, it's like you're forcing things and your ex doesn't necessarily want the same thing as you at the moment. So try to have self discipline and remember, love should never be forced. Otherwise it becomes an obsession, so be very careful of going that route. Hello. I have a question. I’m nearing the end of the 30 day no contact. I’m female (20yrs) & 20 days ago, I was fed up with my ex/best friend (21y male) cuz he stated he didn’t want a committed relationship. I treated him like a king for years attempting to make him change his mind-even being friends with benefits with him. But still, he refused to try dating again. He has to work on his fear of commitment to be able to come into a relationship with you. Unfortunately you can't force him to do that. Do the work on yourself and hopefully he does the same thing in his life and get to realize your worth. Let him put the effort in. So me and my boyfriend broke up a couple of weeks ago. Right before we were suppose to find out if we got approved to buy a house weve never lived together but talked about getting a home. Even picked out a home with me. He said its him and he's just not in the right state of mind since his dad passed and we just moved too fast (we dated a year and a half, grew up together and his sister and I were in the same class and good friends). He gives me mixed signals but tells his brother im too clingy and says he's told me one thing when I clearly have proof he didnt how im an idiotfor sending him stupid quotes.. One of his brothers and his sister think we need to be together I'm good for him compared to the last 2 who cheated and used him. They think he is fronting since he was hurt before. Brad, quick question for you. Any experience with breakups where it involved a nasty ex wife? Kids involved also. GF and I were together for 3 years, dealt with these issues for a long time successfully. She knew about me having kids and it was not an issue. We had no issues with infidelity or other "normal" relationship issues. Just problems navigating dealing with these people outside of our relationship. Look forward to hearing back.
The nasty ex wife is your responsibility to handle. Try to see what she wants, a divorce settlement? Hopefully the divorce has been settled otherwise it's bound to be messy since she's still technically the legal wife and will always be unless you find a way to finalize the divorce. There's no way around that other than to settle it in court especially if you have custody battle.

Do not trade true love for temporary thrills, especially if you see your boyfriend in the future with you. We're only human, so no judgment but kudos for being aware of yourself and the situation. So since you feel tempted, hang out less with him or be in a group setting so there's less temptation. :-)

The thing that sucks is that I was her rebound and I don't know if I really want her back or not, I really need to think realistically about things. On top of everything else our relationship only lasted 1 week, which I know doesn't sound like something stable but to me it really was, I tried everything I could think of to keep her happy but she ended up leaving because I simped to much.

Indeed. You both have to process the breakup first and go through all that pain and slowly let go of the bad memories...It is a process, but this is what the "no contact" rule is for, to help both of you move forward from that pain. A reconciliation with an ex means there will be a new relationship between you two where the lessons of the past are taken into consideration in order to resolve it to create a better relationship in the future. If your ex has a mental disorder like depression, bipolar disorder, IED or the like, the most loving thing you can do is to give each other space while he/she gets help. Encourage your ex to seek treatment because clinical depression is something only a therapist specializing on this can handle, even this is outside of my scope. I did state they will "start" to adjust to life without you after that period because... that's just reality. However, them starting to adjust to life without you doesn't automatically mean it's over for good. The more time has passed, the lesser your chances will be. Also I have no control over how someone will feel after a breakup, but silence or cutting off contact with your ex can help you clear your mind and not lash out, for example. Hi brad, one of my friends (i no longer think they’re my friend) has been texting/ watching movies/ playing games online with my ex every day for 16 hours a day (his words) since the break up and has essentially replaced me in the group of friends i used to be with (i was kicked out of group chats and uninvited from parties, where he then took my place). Im worried that this is making no contact ineffective as the emotional roll that i used to fill for my ex is being filled by him, and that because of him she hasnt had a chance to feel like she has lost something. I feel replaced and hurt and when i told him about this he just said not to worry about it and then continued to hang out with her online and in irl. What should i do? Im two weeks into no contact and im not sure if its working. Will 30 days be enough or will doing no contact for longer be more harmful to the situation? Most of the time, a lot of people would move on, but a few would still fight for the relationship, so this all depends which side you're on and what your views are. Not trying to sound rude here at all so please don’t attack but why does it sound like if I make a mistake during no contact or if I am in the wrong??? If an ex is interested they should come forward. Period. They are equally in the wrong then.
The point is not to damage the situation further. If you're waiting for your ex to come to you, then you should be clear of all these mistakes in the first place anyway!

Is he making an effort towards you though? If so, then take it slow. I hate to be the one to break it to you, but it may be to your best interest to move on. The relationship has become toxic due to these repeated abuse and cheating from your ex. Just learn what you can from this relationship and avoid similar traits on a future partner. So in time, you will be a better, wiser and overall more improved version of yourself.
