Planning to visit Myanmar in the coming years. Frankly I think it's perfectly fine if you stick to places like Yangon and Mandalay. There is good and bad everywhere.

Yes, exactly. I never felt unsafe in Yangon. People are extremely friendly, the food and the culture is great. Plus there are not many tourists.

And this is exactly why I try to do get in touch with people like yourself who've been there on the ground, and can actually tell me me what's going on. I never go by what the state department says. 9 times out of 10 they blow the situation out of proportion

I contacted some German Photographer who recently travelled in Myanmar just to be sure😅 And yes, in my experience travel advisories and the media are often exaggerated or even misleading as I have learned with countries such as Myanmar, Iran, Turkey or Colombia.

In contrast, there is another small airlines in Myanmar called MNA : Myanmar National Airlines they only operate to Singapore, Bangkok, Chaingmai. I wish you could give your honest review on the airlines MNA for your up coming flight if you have a thought to use Myanmar Airlines. 🎉❤

Hey. Do you know why Myanmar is called the Golden Land? That's because Myanmar used to be called Suvarnabhumi during the reign of Ashoka since the monks from India visit to Myanmar and the Theravada Jarkatas also included the word Suvarnabhumi. This term means the Golden Land so that's how Myanmar is called like that.

Hi, thanks for asking. When I went in spring of this year I had to provide my printed out e-visa, a mandatory travel insurance, my covid documents (recovery or 3 vaccinations), an entry form, a customs form, proof of return ticket, a physical copy of a valid Thai multiple entry visa and the booking confirmation at a accredited accommodation. However, depending on your nationality the requirements may differ. If you plan to travel to Myanmar I strongly advise you to check the website of the Embassy of Myanmar in your country. Cheers ;)

Hello bro, if their any army at yangon airport? I scare that they will arrest me since im born in myanmar but USA citizen and can i also apply myanmar visa while living in thailand?

Hi, unfortunately I don't know anything about that. I think in your case it might be advisable to contact the Embassy of Myanmar or a professional Immigration Agency. Only thing that I can say is that I applied for an e-visa and that I did not encounter any problems with officials in Myanmar.

I believe the airline was started by sketchy money from drugs and arms dealers. On a different note, are they issuing tourist visas to "farangs"? The airport used to be a lot more vibrant than it is at the moment.

Ahahahhaha wow really?😂 wasn't aware of that at all. & yes they do issue e-visas to frarangs. But due to the current situation I didn't meet any tourists at the airport or in the country. That's quite sad actually since Myanmar and it's people are incredibly beautiful! I never felt unsafe or unwelcome there.
