Is Old Minecraft really Good?

I have to disagree on one thing. Allays are really useful in redstone and in farms if you know how to use them. Also they make gathering resources in mass really easy.

Piston tables are actually a furniture building staple I use, even though I only play modern Minecraft due to me downloading it on the iPad, and I find it impossible to access previous versions of Minecraft on the iPad, I guess. Chairs with signs, however, are also nice things to use, though not as often as piston tables.

Harder i don't agree with cause i could boot up old Minecraft right now and speedrun diamonds but same goes for modern Minecraft cause it's not the game it's the players experience and what they are willing to do. I agree with the mob vote mobs being useless and mojang should consider updating them for better use but other then that it's just preference. Nice video 👍

"overhelmed" is not a thing in Minecraft. Terraria has a lot of blocks but it's not a problem at all *The thing is* - old Minecraft has small but FULL pallete. Cobble is a base and wood is completion, glass a deco and few creative solutions. Modern minecraft? - a lot of blocks, but it's not full. You have a lot of one colors but not the others. (Also textures is too smooth and it's just colors at this point, AND YOU HAVE NOT ENOUGH COLORS LIKE WHY) You have concrete but no slabs and stairs. You have few walls but not for all materials. That's it

Personally I got bored of Minecraft around always and sniffers due to them not giving much stuff- like cmon even if they make them useful they are still nothing to casual players, but I have hope since the latest dungeon places I forgot the name of XD, I just hope they balance it nicely considering a certain newly added weapon choice

I feel it's unfair to call the community "toxic." There's so many people that play Minecraft. Casuals and kids that just play the game for the sake of playing it, influencers that make a wide array of content surrounding the game, pvp players, beta players that still play in older versions, and friend groups that just make an smp for the fun of it. Minecraft is such an omnipresent phenomenon. Due to its ubiquity it's unfair to make overarching generalizations about the disposition of the community because, in reality, the Minecraft community is multiple communities. Bringing up the community as an issue with modern Minecraft feels odd to me. The people surrounding the game are out of the game's control, so any problems there wouldn't be the game's fault. I've also been hearing drama and complaints since the early 2010's surrounding Minecraft RU-vidrs, so this isn't really new if it's been there since the beginning of the game's lifespan. I'm not saying all of this to decry the video. This is a very well edited and thought out video. I just was bugged by this particular point (which is a bit odd since I'm not really inside the Minecraft community). Sorry if this came off as condescending or rude.

My opinion: old Minecraft is worse. In the new Minecraft there are many different blocks, mobs and biomes, and this... Textures can be found in Minecraft itself or download a resource pack with old textures. That nostalgia is just a past childhood. Now you can call a friend and play with him, the same emotions.

3:00 Don't agree with this point either. PLENTY of modern Minecraft has infrastructure just like this. Picture this, you're riding a horse, you ride up to an area where there's an absolutely massive mountain, on the other side of that mountain is your base. Now, logic dictates you could go around it. But of course this means you've got more chances of getting lost, as even in modern Minecraft, that's still pretty easy. Going around may also take pretty long. Wanna stay on track and on time? Build a tunnel through the mountain to your base. Now, you could still just clear a pathway around the mountain TO your base, but that's STILL infrastructure, its a road. 😂 And don't give me that, "elytra's exist you can just fly everywhere" crap. I played on a multiplayer server for a whole year and touched my elytra twice. You're just spoiled. 😂

Another reason old minecraft is better the old textures just match better. these days you need 3 types of wood 6 types of stone and tons of other stuff just to make a decent looking house. in old minecraft you got oak and cobblestone and boom you have a lovely looking base.

The future is now, old man. I don't like clinging to old things just for the sake of "nostalgia" and instead I just remember the "good old times" and move on with my life. The world won't stop for you, unless you invent a time machine, of course. The issue of creativity that you pointed out can be explained simply. It takes more skill to be a better builder. That is a fact that stays true regardless of game version. Yes, it was easier to build "good looking" stuff before, but that's only because people assume you can't build anything better, because there are so few options. Now, you can be extremely creative, and the old builds did not become worse objectively, only in comparison to the new things people can build. You can still make old builds in newer versions, but you can also make something even better, you just have to be skilled enough to know which block choices give you good results, or just experiment a little. But I have to disagree with your point on "old versions had more creative potential than new versions" as to me, it's clear you must just have a skill issue with the new versions more diverse block choices. One of the points I agree with, is the game being easier. That is a fair take, but I guess it helps with accessibility? Some people don't have the time to mine for hours for a single Diamond, although I hope there would be more options for world generation, like the choice for the amount of ores, to make it harder or easier depending on the player skill. Useless features? No. I'm assuming you just want the game to be less diverse, which is... A questionable point at best. Why not have pandas? Why not have camels? I don't see why we can't have them in the game, even if they are almost useless. In fact, some players made really creative ideas come true with them, for example ilmango made a slime farm with pandas in a peaceful mode world, where it would be almost impossible to get without them. But in the end, play however you want. This is Minecraft, only losers take offense to other people playing how they want to play.
