Is Oregon’s 2024 ROSTER the BEST roster in Ducks history? (feat.  

I'm an Ohio State fan and one this one subject burns my rear is that the PAC schools are going to have a difficult time playing in the B1G. One thing I know for sure is that at least 10 of the 14 B1G schools field football programs that are bad to mediocre at best. The only B1G school that has a chance against Oregon this year is Ohio State and I full expect for the Buckeyes ad Ducks to meet at least 2X this season.

This is the best roster we’ve ever had on paper we’ve never had a majority 4 stars and 5 stars always been 2s 3s and some 4s. The thing is tho a lot of the other schools have some of the best rosters they’ve ever had as well like Ohio State. Should be a fun year and got lots of hope for my ducks

I think the Big 10 & CFB overall has discounted Oregon & the Pac 12 more than head to head records justify. Oregon in the last 20+ years has a very respectable record against the Big 10 and in that timeframe has been one of the most consistently good teams and has been in the championship hunt several times. Oregon traditionally had to do more with less and much of their past success was determined by innovation and scheme more than an abundance of talented players. In the past, injuries at key positions could end hope for a great season or title hopes (2007). That being said, recruiting success has not only increased the talent level on both sides of the ball, but also added immensely to the talent on the depth chart. Injuries to key players will not kill a seasons trajectory like it would in the past.

The difference between the 2014 vs 2024 is Mariota was the top player where in 2024 every other position will be better this year. The DL was amazing in 2014 but was only 2 players where we are 3 deep this year

Yea -- the 2014 Oregon team 'smoked' a lot of teams - including the reigning National Champs - FSU in very impressive fashion ! --- But it was a Big 10 Team and Ohio State that "smoked" the Ducks big time @ 42 -- 20 ? > Something nobody I knew - expected - from a 4 seed with their 3rd string QB (?) - going against the Heisman winner ? 🤔 Oct. will be telling - but this OSU team appears to be a tremendous challenge - perhaps - "right there" - with Georgia as the best in the country ! Should be a war - yet maybe only a preview of a potential rematch late in the season ''for all the marbles'' ?

It is funny because Oregon has basically recruited the same for the past ten years. Always number one in the PAC or second to USC at worst. So, recruiting has always come easy lately for the Duck's. Under Mario you so guys did fabulous, always getting five star and high star recruits, so this year is no different. I don't know how people like Max have a job. Their team this year is pretty much like last year, unless some of those five stars so guys or some guy steps up. Oregon has the talent, but it lacks the humble subtleties you expect in your winners here. With Nike at your side. Nike is a Satanic symbol, so I am not surprised of your success. Put on your high sneakers or large boots because the hype is flooding us now. I am drowning.

The thing with Oregon now is that they don't _need_ a Marcus Mariota -- same way your Alabamas and Georgias haven't needed a QB that absolutely takes over games. Because of the talent all over field. Not saying this Oregon squad is quite _as_ talented and deep as the most talented Alabama and Georgia squads, but its not far off, and going in that direction

OVERALL, THIS IS THE BEST DUCKS ROSTER EVER. ALSO, THE ONLY EXCEPTION IS AT QB, DIXON, MARIOTA, HERBERT AND NIX ARE AS GOOD AS OR BETTER THAN GABRIEL.

I think UW is going to beat you guys again. Crazy as that has sounded in the past when I said it. I am saying it. Oh Again. Fisch is a better coach than even Deboer. And we lost a lot of guys, but there were other guys starting last year. They tend to load up on this idea that we lost a lot of people. UW has a running game this year with so Jonah Coleman and Cam Davis, with guys who actually run the ball unlike Dillon Johnson. Our offensive has experience here, just have not played in this new offense. Our receivers are guys that would play in the NFL still. Denzel here Boston is just as good as anyone we had. Jeremiah Hunter is a stud. Giles Jackson. Our defense is probably here better. As we added Sebastian Valdez who may be better than Tuli, and we have Elianus Davis who is future all Big Ten. We have better pass rushers than we had last year, and more of them. Zach Durfee is a killer. We have here a better coaching staff than you guys do also. Lanning the born thumb sucker. Nothing without Kirby. Kirby Smart built the Georgia team. Glad to start the slinging.

I am a Duck fan. I am having a hard time with seeing all this hype about the Ducks. Duck teams over the year have always let us down in some way. As good as the Ducks could be this year, they could easily lose to Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin, Purdue because they always upset one team each year and Michigan State. Jonathan Smith will get Michigan State turned around quickly. Plus Dan Lanning can't win the big game. I do think Dan is turning the Ducks into an SEC team in the west. If they can make it to the 12 team playoff, I will believe it when I see it. I hope I am proven wrong but, I don't want to get over hyped before I see them play.
