Katz was influenced by an Apikorus by the name of Hartman. His older two children are OTD. He was Nebach pained when he got his credit card bill and saw that his son purchased a meal in McDonald’s for the first time. He did a huge Avlah to Reb Kopel’s family.
@@lightworker4512: Those "paths", however, must ALL lead to the ETERNAL Truth that God gave to us at Mt. Sinai. He only gave us ONE set of scriptures there, and therefore there is ultimately only ONE way that He wants us to live life in the universe He created for us. NO further scriptures were given after Mt. Sinai, and when God gave us those scriptures, He specifically told us that they are ETERNAL (i.e. STILL in effect and binding TODAY - a LIVING document!) and that we are NOT to follow ANY OTHER teaching than what is in those Hebrew scriptures. .
@@janishart5128 All academic theological scholars absolutely understand that Moses did not receive the Torah or wrote it. They know from how it was written, that many male authors wrote it over a period of time. They know that Moses never existed nor the exodus or Abraham, Jacob, Isaac, they are all mythic stories and characters. Reform Judaism (40 percent plus of Jews) understand they are mythic stories but teach timeless lessons. The Torah and it’s traditions are valued and hold the people together. Albert Einstein and almost all highly educated Jews believe it’s created by man. Christians and Orthodox Jews take the Hebrew scripture literally. My family members died in the Holocaust. If the Messiah did not come to prevent the centuries of suffering, when is he coming? It’s a myth. It’s been 3000years or so. Believe what you wish but you should learn from the academic scholars as well.
@@janishart5128 It is a virtue for humanity to embrace diversity. We are all individuals and see the world through our perspective. What is wrong is to think there is only one way, one path, one region that is correct. That would be insane
@@lightworker4512: Your "academic theological scholars" are totally IRRELEVANT!! They know ZERO about the original, ETERNAL (i.e. STILL in effect and binding TODAY - a LIVING document!) Hebrew scriptures, given to us at Mt. Sinai by God, so their 'opinions' are WORTHLESS and won't count a DAMN on Judgment Day when God will be demanding to know whether or not we lived by the ETERNAL words He gave to us at Mt. Sinai! God WON'T be asking us what "Reform Jews", "Christians" or "Albert Einstein" taught us - only what we learned from the ETERNAL words He gave to us at Mt. Sinai. PLEASE do some honest research on this subject and LEARN from the Rabbis, as commanded by God in Deut. 17:8-11. You would also be well-advised to buy yourself a Hebrew Bible (says "TANACH" on the cover), so you can see for yourself what God ACTUALLY said to us at Mt. Sinai. Also extremely helpful would be Rabbi Tovia Singer's 2-vol. set of books "Let's Get Biblical - Why Doesn't Judaism Accept the Christian Messiah?".
