As I get older, I am becoming less dependent on the grocery stores and making my own micro greens, focusing on more organic Whole Foods (lentils, chickpeas, venison). Avoiding all processed, sugar foods and drinking a lot more water. My diet is completely different 2-3 years ago. Especially learning of GMOs and APEEL coating produce.

How about a lack of iodine? We seem to have forgotten about iodine in its very important in our diet for especially our thyroid, but to avoid cancer and all sorts of other health issues! Read "The Iodine Crisis"

They used to put in the flour, not any more. And that the fact they used it to cure Gerd bc men had enlarged necks, and they realized that they were lacking iodine, so the added it to the flour and it shrunk the necks back to the normal size. It helps with women's hormones and balances men's testosterone. The ionized salt you get in the stores is the wrong kind of iodine. I use jcrows iodine 2% 8 drops in my coffee or plain water. Then, wait an hour to 2 hours, then make a mocha, chocolate, and lemon cancel the effect of iodine. Amazing things that iodine helps with. There are big charts comparing heirloom seed foods to hybrid seed foods. The hybrids have FAR LESS nutrients in them across the board. What's more, the hybrid seeds are MULES. They produce fruits that either 1) will not germinate at all or 2) will germinate but produce plants that bear unrecognizable mutant fruits. All this is well researched and documented. Soil quality is a tertiary concern. We are losing with the seeds most USA farmers plant.
@JasonBuckman
@JasonBuckman Месяц назад
That sounds extremely unsustainable.

@@JasonBuckman Huh? Did you watch the video? Make sure to watch the video. Pay attention to what he says above about home grown veggies. Now, let me add an important statistic about the USA. Between 1945 and 1965, a whopping 1/2 of the veggies (and fruits) consumed in the USA were HOME grown. How? Why? The answer is Victory Gardens. From WW1 through the Great Depressions through WW2 the US Government heavily promoted Victory Gardens all over the USA. There were Victory Gardens on the lands of public schools. Parts of urban parks were turned into Victory Gardens. See now? Back yard gardens were also forms of Victory Gardens. That's about 30 years of constant promotion of home and local gardening from US Fed and local governments. See now? So the momentum after WW2 kept that going. A whopping 1/2 of consumed veggies and fruits were home grown through the mid 1960's. Americans also raised rabbits for meat and ate a great deal of home and locally raised rabbit meat into the mid 1960's. That is all VERY "sustainable." Make sense now? Watch the video above again with those real world USA statistics in mind.
@JasonBuckman
@JasonBuckman 29 дней назад
@@scottmcloughlin4371 No, I think there may be a misunderstanding here. There is no way that growing produce that can't germinate and reproduce is sustainable. There is no way in hell MULES are sustainable.

Grow my own food in a 3,500 sq ft garden. Biologically complete soil, fertilize only with compost tea. Water with drip line irrigation from 3, 500 gallons collected of rain water. Nutrient dense food with amazing flavor. Mill whole grain, and prepare my own sourdough bread from scratch weekly. No processed flour. Eat a totally kosher diet.

There's nothing better than home gardening For health. The flavor of food that you grow is second to none. Tomatoes actually taste like tomatoes, They have a bold flavor and are quite sweet. Then you have green beans, snap peas, carrots and etc. that are easy to grow and delicious as you pick and eat!! Buen provecho...(composting is easy and give a big boom to your garden). Enjoy

Great information! 🙏🏼 I find it incredibly strange ... over 30 years ago, my Dad explained the benefits of crop rotation, & he didn't even have a college degree! WHY isn't that a thing farmers do regularly? I am grateful for farmers' work, but it just seems like crop rotation is a no-brainer.

Was wondering if big corporate groups ,be they foreign or domestic , own a lot of our farm land now and are pushing for profit and use all kinds of chemicals to achieve this and, the soil is not healthy and is worn out thus, our food is not healthy and nourishing.
