Is Partial Silicone Baby Jayden a Poor Cousin to Full Body Silicone Dolls? Life is about perspective 

I love partials. I feel they give a lot of options for posing and now they are just as expensive as full bodies sometimes. I think Reborns, partials and full body silicone babies have their place in the community and the value is based on each individual baby and how the buyer feel about them.

I think a partial silicone is the perfect solution to both silicones and reborns 🙏

I have had both full body and partial silicones and I much prefer partials, they just seem more like a real baby to hold, I always found my fbs by a “top” artist not so realistic to hold. Your Jayden is divine, I have always loved that sculpt, you are very lucky to have him. A big thank you for the shout out for my little channel, India and I really appreciate it. He’s so lovely 🥰 The waves in his hair are perfect. I’m a partial silicone fan for sure. My full body is more stiff in her centre and obviously my cuddle silicones have limitations (but feel amazing). The partials just tick the most boxes for me especially if they have a full tummy plate. Yes they are more affordable that a full body but I wouldn’t call them the cheap cousin. Absolutely not it’s a personal choice to have a partial or a full one i already had a partial one and for me i prefer full but yes i will be happy to own again a partial one and i personally think he is better in silicone then vinyl

Jayden is so adorable! I have a lot of vinyl reborns...than this year I got a partial silicone and I am in love!!! She is squishy yet she cuddles right up because of her cloth body! So I got a newborn boy full body silicone. I love him but he just feels heavy to me. I adore partial silicone babies and can't wait til Letitia can make my baby girl next year! Partial silicone can be heavy as well but the cuddle factor is amazing!

I love Adrian! 😍 I was really considering buying a partial silicone myself, as my first silicone doll. But then I completely fell in love with a sculpt that is full silicone, and went for it. I'm so looking forward to get him. But because it's a very expensive doll, (and probably the only silicone I will ever purchase), I'm so afraid he will get lost in the mail! It's almost giving me anxiety. I will be so relived when he has arrived home safely!

That is rude! I actually prefer the partial silicones because they aren’t as heavy as full body. Jaden is just as beautiful as all the other full body babies on you tube! I think there is a lot of elitism in this hobby now but I’m not talking about you when I say that.

My choice would be a partial silicone baby like Jayden. He's gorgeous just way he is. Yes you are so right to know your limit on buying babies , always stop and think about is this one I want. I did and I got beautiful live like reborn at a reasonable price , with a great artist. Well anyway I'll keep going on and on texting ha! Ha! So yes I would 100 percent keep Jayden over full body silicone my choice right? 😏❤

Your Jayden is lovely. That's always been one of my favorite sculpts. I'm a lot like you in that I have not really even considered silicone because that majority of them are not in my budget and also I wouldn't want it to be a matter of settling for a baby I could afford vs. getting one that I really love. I'm happy for you that you found a baby you love so much!

You know I had to post again. This video made me think of the time I posted on your IG about considering a partial silicone. I'm sorry if I was inconsiderate in the way I expressed myself. Sometimes I think I lack that tact and emotional intelligence. I never meant that a partial was less than. In fact I really regret not having purchased the partial. They're a lot better sculpted than many full body silicones. Plus' at the end it's all about a collector's needs and preferences. I think sometimes I internalize the message that there is a hierarchy in the doll community as far as quality and style. I forget that all of that is something that is made up by all of us collectively and it's our choice whether we want to buy into it and follow. Sorry if I offended or gave a negative vibe. You made me more aware about language and how it can offend or hurt and how we have to be conscious about how we express ourselves.

I bought my baby "Jai", who is a full body silicone, in October of 2014. He's an old man now... lol..but had I been offered to have him as a partial, I would have opted for it. Sometimes I wish I could make him into a partial because his body was made from a stiffer silicone than is used today. It honestly feels like I'm holding an 8lb bag of flour. I certainly understand the limitations of a soft cloth body, but I love the softness and flexibility of one. I think partials are a great option and I don't think it lessens the value of a silicone at all. Unless I was keeping my doll naked all the time, the body is not seen that much anyway. I love your little guy and he is painted more realistically than some full bodied silicones I have seen, including mine. The material and method has come such a long way in the last seven years. Big hugs to you! oh, and I adore that outfit on him. Love stripes, and "shroomy" themes. ox

I've never owned ( or even touched) a partial nor a full body silicone baby and if I had to choose and had the possibility someday I would choose a partial over the full body... I imagine they are a lot more cuddly( and cuddle factor is important for me.., I ve had reborns with a FULL torso plate and i sold them cause i was too much of a chicken to cut the vinyl and remove it..lol We all have different tastes and likes and dislikes but I honestly had seen some full body silicone babies that don't look realistic at all.. I don't think a partial is a " pour cousin" of a full body...lol gosh we all get what we want, we all have different preferences, etc Your baby is STUNNING and I hope someday I can own a partial silicone, it s like the perfect mix between a silicone and a reborn in my opinion :)

Does a lot of dust collect on the silicone and if it does how do you get it off? I heard that there is some kind of powder out there to brush on the silicone. But since I am knew in my search for knowledge about silicones, I was wondering if you could tell me
