Peeling gels! So popular in Japanese and Korean skincare and becoming more popular here.. but I feel like more people should know about them! Also I don’t think they’re all made equal of course.. I like this one more than some others I’ve tried. Have you tried them? Do you like them? 🌹🌹🌹I cleansed first normally then used the 🤍🤍@anua.skincare Heartleaf LHA Moisture Peeling Gel. This has LHA & salicylic acid so it’s a good one for clogged pores, oily skin, excess sebum. It’s a physical exfoliation method, but not gritty and harsh like a scrub. I personally don’t use scrubs on my face, and this leaves my skin soo soft, without irritating. I do use other chemical exfoliants and I don’t think this really replaces those, but this is another option, good for sensitive skin, good for makeup prep, and this has that instant satisfaction factor. They contain ingredients (this one has cellulose) that interact with the oil and dead skin cells. When you massage the gel, it forms small clumps that pick up dead skin cells and impurities.
Yes! that’s exactly what it is, that’s exactly just how peeling gels work. It’s the cellulose. It binds to dead skin and oil as you massage it in… while a scrub may scratch away at dead skin. If you have a lot of dead skin and oil the peeling gel will clump up faster, and may change color once it mixes with the dead skin and sebum 🤍🤍
@@SarahSaleen I get this effect with my oil cleanser 🙂 That's why I tend to massage it on my skin for 5-10 minutes, unlike most people who probably do it for 1-2 minutes.
Yes! If you’re extra sensitive you can use it on slightly damp skin (not wet skin ) and don’t use it daily. But peeling gels are veryyy gentle, I think that’s why they’re so popular in Asia 🤍🤍
I wouldn’t say it’s better necessarily .. I think traditional chemical exfoliation would yield better results long term for some.. but I would say this is more of an alternative for those who like a scrub, or want physical exfoliation, without being harsh on the skin. I think some people just like having physical exfoliation in their routine so I wanted to show a less abrasive option. For ex, if you have dead skin and excess oil on the face this would be great to use because you get the instant satisfaction of smooth skin without irritating it.. great for prepping for makeup.. great for sensitive skin who want to get rid of dead skin quickly 🤍
Depends. If it’s an actual brush attachment, I’d avoid it personally, if it’s sometime like the lumi with silicone, that’s fine. Just keep it as clean as possible 🤍🤍
