Objectively it's P2W. On the scale of P2W it is pretty tame and game is still solid. The entire debate hinges on all parties agreeing what "winning" is.

The grind is the only way you could win in this game, so still P2W It doesn't need a exclusive Mon behind a pay wall to be p2w

It really depends on how much u spend tbh if u spend not that much maybe like the donator status monthly or some other RP stuff it give advantage but u can grind it on ur own but if u put 100s or even more ofc its gonna give u a massive advantage which could take a LOT more for non paytowin players. And i agree with u the game is mostly pay to skip also nice video keep up the work!

Personally, I would say it's pay to win done right. I've seen a lot of people over my years of playing that have spent literal thousands of dollars. On the other hand the majority of the player base doesn't spend money, but I don't think most veterans are going to be upset about the Devs being able to make money Saving time is definitely a great way to put it

100% agree money just makes shunting easier since you need it to buy lures and leppas. It saves you time by not having to grind out money to buy the things again lol.

honestly, I'm not sure. I don't collect shinies and I feel like winning in that sense is catching it on your own I do play PVP and I definitely recognize the fact that paying makes it much less of a grind and you could end the discussion right there. but the devs are pretty solid and I think there's the combination of the fact that I don't think there is a lot of people paying to always have the most optimized PVP teams which we are lucky. and if they were, the devs are really good at monitoring these things and I feel like they would change things around to make it more equitable. but at the end of the day you can't argue with someone if they say it's pay to win

its insane that base shiny rate is 1/30000, but you can pay 5$ to make it 1/27000

It depends what you're seeking in the game, For PVP it could be said pay2win but meh, it's pay to fast so you get all 6/5IV pokemon you need faster maybe but then, you'de have to actualy be good. So the only difference with someone who have paid and not would be time invested, and PVP rotation are only each months, so You have a lot of time to rebluid or adapt teams. For Shiny hunting, not pay to win still, pay to fast and even there, you're still low and feels balanced. You either have time to grind for money or you don't and swap money to like get what you want "Faster"(Increase odds which doesn't necesarly mean you'd get shiny faster) For PVE, like money making, and Vanity, maybe it's pay to win? because like the only requirement is pokeyen and some stuffs can go really expensive but that would be like the only thing and even there there's no win, it's just vanity, uncesseray things, just cosmetics

It is P2W for sure but that doesnt make it bad. Its not an official pokemon game so its expected that it has some p2w features.

P2W just means you can pay for an advantage that isnt normally available for F2P ie. Donator status, ocarinas

It's pay to win yes cuz soon as they start they buying the training link an the exp.reamplifier an the other stuff to sell an the gtl wen they have the 4th gym badge they going to breed up some perfect IV Pokemon just to beat all the regions

You still enjoying Pokemon? I finally got fed up with call of duty and quit the past month too. Feels so nice to not play that game and every time I get the itch to go back I remember how miserable I was lol. Even the ranked playlist is all hidden mmr. So my bronze and silver lobbies were just as sweaty as my diamond lobbies before I quit. Been grinding destiny and actually enjoying myself. Hope you are still enjoying yourself over there too.
