Power BI is not irrelevant today just wanna clarify for the larger audience it is just the opposite. It is one of the most sort after tool skill. Yes one should learn different facets of the tool Iike Power Automate, Paginated report, integration of PBI with different data source, DAX function n etc. I started working on it in 2016 and today I hire lot of Data Engineer/Analyst with the skills. The tool over the years have replaced Tableau, QlikView/Sense, D3.js and many other tool which was used earlier as transition is easy for anyone from excel based dashboard to power BI as both are Microsoft products, integration with MSofffice is smooth, learn8ng curve is simpler and customization are better then other tools.
mam don't confuse your viewer , i am also power bi developer and one thing i can tell you that if you are good in sql you will always get call for data analyst so instead of learning si many tool just become expert in sql and power bi you will easily get job in IT industry and when you get in then start exploring other technology for getting more opportunity
Hi Rakesh. I completely agree with you. Master SQL and Power BI. But that is what I was trying to say. Learn new technologies if you want to grow in the career
@@TheHimaBindu i took interview and i always found so many tool candidate mentioned in their resume but can't able to give simple answer like how to delete duplicate row from sql query so does not matter how many technology you have studied but if you can't give simple answer you are not going to clear interview, so yes you are right if anyone want to build career as data analyst forger everything and become master in sql after that power bi will be very easy for you either dax or data modeling and when you get entry in IT industry always update yourself and this is the success mantra to survive in IT industry
@@rakeshranjan7647 bro i am a non tech background data analyst inspirant. So will i be getting calls for interview if i get to know these technologies?
Power BI end? Power BI is the future... I myself is Power BI Lead and can say this is just the starting of Power BI, Power BI still has a long way to go... And from April till mid of July I was getting like 5 calls a day for Power BI... I didn't accept any that's other issue...😂
Hi inder can you tell me that i am learning both excel and sql but i am searching for job tho kya aap ye bta skte hain ki mujhe excel base job ka experince lena chahiye phle ya sql base job ka me phle ye dono sikh kr job k sath sath power bi learn krungi can you guide me if i got two opportunities one based on excel and other based on sql tho mujhe kon si job krni chahiye ki me age power vi me achchi job le sku
I agree I faced so many interviews and got shocked they were asking questions outside power bi. Be prepared to answer sql related questions and Azure too for cloud computing, and agile etc it’s not easy .
I dont think the facts mentioned in the video are correct. Power BI as a BI tool is going to be more powerful that ever before. You can integrate Power Apps, Power Automate and now Power Pages as well. So, whoever is not getting the calls (as you said), then probably start searching more and learn this tool in depth. The future of Power Bi is very bright.
Excel didnt fail in last 30 years, PBI wont either. New technologies are there, people have options to choose what is "better" or more comfortable. IF your Company is Microsoft oriented (as most of them are), then I am for Microsoft. I tried Tableu, Qlicksense, even tough they might be "well performed and quick", but I just wanted one thing to do, "From Folder > Files to anaylze"....forget it =) you need to write a code, and in Power Query it is called connector =) I am not saying one is better than the other, it is a matter what do you need to do, and on which scale, and of course are you more into IT or Developing or just an advanced user =)
Hello Mam, Need a clarification from you. I know Paginated Reports, SSRS, SQL, SSAS, SSIS(working on it at present), Power Automate(Basic) and Excel in addition to Power BI. Do I need to learn any other tech for Power BI or these many techs are good enough initially? If yes plz suggest me and from where. Thank You
Hi Sushain. These should be enough to start with. But because you know these technologies please start to learn new technologies related to these. Like bigquery , tableau
Thank u Mam for your reply. I will surely start with the techs you have mentioned. I have 1.7 yrs of exp and want to switch. What is your opinion regarding salary and designation with these many skills a person can get? My last doubt. Thank you again.
to be a data analyst....having knowledge of tools is not sufficient.... having understanding of data and business is more important... i am a senior manager in analytics... and i see technical guys struggling understanding business
Getting calls all about requirement matters and secondly resume. We have resume builder in the market and they will frame our resume better with our skill set. No technology/tool will never end. Still users are using Windows xp OS. But if we stay relevant to market demands and new skills would be better advantage.
Absolutely. Ssis is ETL process . Ssrs is pure reporting. You don't have to learn ssis to learn ssrs but learning ssis could be helpful in getting a job . If the job requirement doesn't have ssis then you should be ok with just ssrs
good evening Mam i learnt advance excel, power bi, sql server I Don't have any calls but i am palnning to learn MSBI , How maany skills learnt techonlgies I get calls
Hi Mam could I recently learn sql +power bi and learning tableau ... I also wanna learn ssis, ssrs ,ssas could you guide me where should I learn these these any coaching institute you can refer me or any link where I could learn these step by step ...
Learning any new technology does not seem to be feasible in just 2 or 3 days for most techies. It will definitely few weeks to learn the core concepts and basics of most new technology.
Power BI learning curve is similar with tableau?have you heard of DAX and M language?without a solid foundation, power bi can't play it's strong function, master above mentioned language will counted by years
@@TheHimaBindu Thank you very much for quick response and valuable suggestion. i will do that also i would Tableau short video from your side as you are doing in Power BI. Thank you once again.
These all are cloud base skill you don't need to worry about that just learn one of them, which is high demanding.. You can't learn each an every thing at a one time.
