Well, Professional Year is only available for Accountant, ICT Professionals and Engineers, but does it really give that ADVANTAGE to the skill migrants?

Has any IT guy done PY? what is the occupation code written on your skill assessment paper?

From what I have researched , a professional year program lasts for 44 weeks plus 12 weeks internship and we have the option to do the professional year course on weekends. That being said if I get a full time job after completing masters and I apply for professional year course will I still have to do the internship?
@ChannelAMEC

You need to ask professional year program

Hi there, I graduated with bachelor degree in information system and got the full time job which I can get the skill assessment without taking the PY course. So, do I still get the 5points?
@ChannelAMEC
@ChannelAMEC 2 года назад
Nope.. you just lost the opportunity for that extra 5 points

Please clear my doubt, these points are not for those who are applying from outside Australia but are member of IPA ( accountants body) from a year, It is for people who have worked in Australia for at least one year, right?

Hello, how are you? I have got one question I am doing professional year program and once i get the completion letter i will get degree assessment. Professional year points expires in 3 years. Professional year also works as skill assessment for students who dont have 1 years experience in their occupation but once our PY expires we definitely lose 5 points but then how can I do skill assessment after 3 years because we can never go for any general skill visa without skill assessment? If anyone can help me out with this
@NitinSharma-bm4bs
@NitinSharma-bm4bs Год назад
So do it with in three years , why would you wait for its expiry?

One question , So if im planing to do the PY I should do it while im on my post study work visa ryt? . And should I have a job and be working in that job while I apply to 189 visa if I decide to do so. So while doing the PY course I should also make sure to find a job can you let me know if im correct :)

@@ChannelAMEC just one more question, should I have a skilled occupation( have a job) when I apply for 189 visa or is the skill assessment after the completion of PY enough?

I love the system they built here. At first you pay for 3 years of useless degree by the end you realise that there is literally no chance to get any kind of job. They will also tell you that you need your skills assessed. Why did I go through all the exams at school then? Next step you will need a professional year which is basically work that you have to pay for to earn 5 points that everyone else also has meaning it’s just another barrier for getting a pr. Then you learn that you still won’t get any job and you have to do a boot camp!!!! Then comes masters… finally, you already spend more money than you will be able to earn in x number of years if you still be able to get a job. During the course of each step they require IELTS to make sure English does not degrade. It’s a total joke. I have a solution: why don’t you properly teach so degree would have weight on its own and you will not have situations when people with masters can’t speak English.

Man, you are the only one talking facts here, love your videos don't stop making them. PY Is basically just a money-sucking feat from the government and institutions it's better suited for high school students not for masters graduate If the government has invested international student talent into startups and innovation Australia economy would have been boomed but hell no they want temporary money :(

Hi guys I have a query. Is there anyone who claimed Professional year points in the 4th year after they have completed their PY. Are they got rejected because of overclaiming the points or they got accepted for claiming the PY points. I am not getting the official information with enough proof whether the PY validity of 48 months is from the start date or the end date. Please help us out if you have claimes points in the 4th year after you completed your PY and got the visa grant. Thanks in advance.

Same here , I completed Accounting PY on 1st February 2019 , did it already expire this year February or is it going to expire in 2023 February!!!!!
@Goldoroja
@Goldoroja Год назад
I ahve the same question. Maisen Chen law groupposted a video where they said that they have written confimation from immigraiton that it is counted form 48 months from the cours start date. But when you read the legislation, its not mentioned in that like this. So, it is still in the grey zone.
@amitcoolnsync
@amitcoolnsync Год назад
@@Goldoroja 48 months from start date 36 months from Graduation date , I know because my NSW nomination got rejected last month because my PY had expired in Feb 2019 whereas I thought it's going to expire next year February
@amitcoolnsync
@amitcoolnsync Год назад
@@Goldoroja when you dig inside (Migration Act 1993) it's mentioned clearly there and my nomination was refused so Maisen Chen group is correct
@Goldoroja
@Goldoroja Год назад
@@amitcoolnsync Can you pelase post a link to that migration act. When I checked the migration act, they ahvent defined what comepletion means therefore the common understanding would be 48 months from the completion date. Regarding NSW, they ahve clearly mentioned that PYT is 48 months from the commencement date, however, federal doesnt say that. The new policy through whcih they are claiming 48 months from the start date has not been made official and they had ample amount of time to make it. So, a letter from a case officer does not change the law and one can argue or challenge the decision of the case officer.
