Still understandable as a Tunisian Arabic speaker (with less Italian pollution than usual which is great all round) My grandfather was a Maltese fisherman (or fisherperson, fish catcher as you now have to call them) and sailed the high seas catching fish and other sea creatures. He, like his co fishermen would "island hop" stopping off at the Hyper tension "barrier islands" before landing on Tunisia at Tunis. He could converse with local fisherman and other traders. This is vitaly important as it maintains the dialect continuum between Maghribian dialects and Maltese. ❗ *BUT WHATEVER YOU DO PLEASE GET RID OF THAT AWFUL 🚫🇮🇹 ITALIAN POLUTION ↘️🚽🚮 IN YOUR DIALECT* ❗
