I think Shimo biggest problem is to me it seems like she doesn’t have that fighting instinct like the other titans she’s raw power but she doesn’t have the killer nature like Godzilla, Kong and others

We saw Shimo straight up tank the most powerful version of the atomic breath (super charged evolved), and almost seems unfazed afterwards. That leads me to believe even evolved Godzilla doesn’t have a way to take out Shimo for good (save the kiss of death atomic breath straight down her throat). The same argument can be made that Godzilla came out unfazed after being frozen by her ice breath, and that if Shimo had continued to blast Godzilla perhaps he wouldn’t have the ability to escape. As a fan boy I’m leaning toward Godzilla but from feats I think Shimo has the edge from what we’ve seen so far.

I'm glad that it's confirmed that Shimo froze Ghidorah, but I don't think that she took him on one-on-one. It should have taken the combined efforts of her, Godzilla, and many other Titans to take Ghidorah down. At least that's how I’d prefer it, because I don't think Shimo should be too overpowered. It would make things in the MonsterVerse feel unbalanced that way.

I didn't notice anyone talking about the fact that before Shimu froze Scar, she looked at Godzilla as if she was taking orders from Godzilla. It suggests that maybe Shimu is stronger but Godzilla is the Alpha

To me the whole Goji vs Shimo is like a crocodile vs a Hippo. Both should be left alone and are beasts in their element, but if they do bout then one has a better advantage. Reminds me of the croc vs bullshark vid from long ago.

Personally I think Supercharged Evolved at 100% could win because it was stated that he was only at 50% power in GxK when evolving

Gotta be honest, the power scaling in the Monsterverse makes no sense. Godzilla's pre-evolved atomic breathe slices through Tiamat like she's not even there, while his evolved breathe doesn't leave a scratch on Shimo

Base on the film. Shimo was virtually powerful and stronger. Thus, Godzilla needed to amp to level the game. However, when they faced in the battle, eventhough Shimo was moving and attacking erratic and undisciplined, she was still able to overpower both Godzilla and Kong. Notice how Godzilla didn't attack Shimo head on. He hit Shimo with his atomic blast twice, all were sneak attacks. Yet Shimo tanked it. But when it's her turn to attack, she made them both look like ragdolls. And to top it all. Shimo was rust, because of millenia of imprisonment. But she managed those feats in the film. Yet again. No one is nigh perfect. The irony that Shimo has a weakness, makes it all the more of her sheer immense power is unbelievable.

Shimo is powerful i mean causing the monsterverse ice age and putting the ice on ghidorah no pun intended she is indeed a powerful titan.

I like how one user on the Monsterverse subreddit put it. Shimo with her sideways eyes evolved from a prey species of Titan and in nature giant herbivores are almost always bigger and more powerful than the predators.

If Shimo kept firing her frost blast against Goji she would’ve frozen him solid completely. Though if Shimo on her own free will goes all out against whoever, even against Ghidorah, I’m sure she would maul everyone. Perhaps maybe even the possible upcoming Space Goji. Is she OP? Well of course when you’re called the first titan. Now for Goji going against Shimo one on one in the movie I would say that he needed all that radioactivity to help keep him mobile, awake, and active to go against “the mother of all titans” Shimo. But, physically he doesn’t stack up as her mass could be 2 possibly 3 times heavier against the Gman.

In terms of feats, ghidorah beats shimo. I know that in the novel, shimo froze ghidorah but it was never mentioned that she defeated him all by herself. And in 2019, it was stated godzilla defeated ghidorah so what I think is that godzilla, shimo along with mothra defeated ghidorah and trapped him in ice.

I disagree. The movie showed Godzilla, almost half her size, and smacking her around. Shimo kinda reminds me of like an early years Superman. She's so use to being the biggest and strongest that she doesn't have to know how to fight cause she can win in a single hit. But when she comes against a force who's almost as powerful as her and who can fight. She gets put in trouble. So while Shimo is potentially the most powerful titan. Godzilla would definitely beat her in a fight. As long as he can stay around from her frost ray.

Shimu caused the Ice Age around the globe. I personally do not believe that in happened in real life.( The Ice Age, I mean.) (I totally agree with your animation and its analysis. ) I am talking about overall power scalling, not who wins. ) That feat is more powerful than any of Thermo's. The amount energy that is generated on both sides is totally different. Thermonuclear Godzilla did NOT destroy the entirity of East coast and parts of Canada with his pulse, and if he did, maybe we could compare the overall output damage they could cause. Not to mention Godzilla did not have the luxury to use more pulses; he was forced to revert back to his weaker, less powerful state. Whilst Shimu doesn't need any power ups. Just like Ghidorah's hurricanes around the American continent created more energy than Thermonuclear Godzilla or multiple hydrogen bombs combined. I know most people would not wanna hear it, but it's true. Godzillas form was also temporary, as I stated. Think of it this way. A talented martial artist (like Bruce Lee or Jackie Chan) fights a man who is a an accomplished powerlifter and has a much bigger bone density than an average human.(Having bones that dense in real life is a rare anomaly. Those people have a hard time being damaged in car accidents.) Let's also be a bit quirky. This strong-boned powerlifter is also Anatoly Kashpirovskiy. ( Anatoly can treat certain people's health issues simply by talking to them, either through a device or real time. I am not making this up. Search videos about him here on RU-vid. The one in Los Angeles and other vids with captions. He is a hypnosist. He caused many people to be helathier before the fall of the USSR. Shimu did the Ice Age thing...) So the m.artist easily beats this person by performing a bunch of moves, but the persom is overall more powerful; people can feel his presence anywhere in the world by listening to him or in that fight, he loses, yes, but his body is way more powerful. Just like Shimu's frost breath could be felt all over world eventually, not Thermo's pulses. I see see this world differently.

I hope we see her again. She needs more screen time and explanation lore wise in a movie.

She's definitely stronger than him before the powerup (Kong gave Godzilla a tough, brutal fight, but was quickly overpowered and nearly killed by Shimo), but this is a good case that she was still stronger even after his boost allowed him to hold his own.

How did Scar get the shard that controlled her? Did it come from her body? Shimo never really engaged Godzilla unless forced to. As far as I can tell, she generally avoided him even when they were tumbling around in subterranean hollow earth. She knew her beef wasn’t with the G-man. I applauded her because she’s not foolish at all.

If the titans were real animals, I believe she would be an enormous herbivorous lizard, who can definitely fight but doesn't have that predatory instinct like Godzilla or Kong (truth be told, Kong shouldn't really be eating meat either as he's essentially a giant gorilla yet he's seen eating snakes, squid, fish, jackals and all sorts of other creatures), he should really be munching on the giant trees in Hollow Earth. That was an aspect that Peter Jackson did much better to be honest.

There is no "THE" Ice Age. There have been at least 5 major ice ages. The most recent one began about 115,000 years ago.

Jacob, evolved Godzilla isn’t 20x Stronger, he can just hold 20x more energy, while this energy is stronger than his previous source, it is not 20 times stronger, otherwise Shimo would have been in pieces like how Godzilla left Tiamat (still upset she died)

Honestly... If Shimo was to try and go fully out on everyone she fought, she probably would've beat both Godzilla and Kong, alongside Mothra and Suko.

One thing that bothers me is how angry people get when you say that Shino froze Ghidorah, like just because she did doesn’t meant that Godzilla didn’t fight Ghidorah, if anything, it was shown that Godzilla is not hostile towards Shimo, in fact he killed Scylla and Tiamat, and tried to kill Kong, even though Kong clearly showed that he wasn’t trying to fight. So even when a Titan shows that they don’t want to fight, Godzilla will still attack. And yet, once Shino was free, Godzilla didn’t attack her. My guess is cause he knew she was being controlled, and that they had a sort of truce. Godzilla doesn’t go down to the hollow earth even before Kong was there. He had a lair sure to that was close to hollow earth but he never went down there. Humans in KOTM were able to go to his lair without having to go through the like gravity well thing so therefore it must be close to the hollow earth but still on the surface. Anyway, my guess is that it was similar to his truce with Kong, he wouldn’t go down there, and whoever was down there wouldn’t come up. My guess was that it was Shimo who ruled the Hollow Earth and Godzilla ruled the surface. And maybe, Godzilla tricked her into coming to the surface to help fight Ghidorah as Godzilla himself knew he couldn’t beat Ghidorah on his own. There a couple distinct cave paintings that show Godzilla fighting Ghidorah. Each one is different, as one has just Godzilla and Ghidorah, another has Godzilla and Mothra fighting Ghidorah, and another had Godzilla, Mothra, and Rodan. These I believed were shown at like a LA comic con. So one can assume that Godzilla and Ghidorah most likely fought multiple times since the paintings are different as each one has a different number of titans present in the battle. And the reason we never see Shimo in these paints most likely is explained by 2 things. 1, Shimo didn’t exist as a character yet so Micheal Dougherty didn’t put her in. And the in canon explanation is that even though Humans clearly existed for a long time in the Monsterverse, most likely none existed in the South Pole where Ghidorah was frozen. Meaning that if Shimo and Godzilla fought together against Ghidorah, no humans were around to see it and then later paint it in a cave. I think in the prequel Kong comic for GxK Kong inside the hollow earth finds a cave that shows paintings of Godzilla fighting Shimo, meaning that perhaps they fought in the hollow earth where humans could see, and it stated that Shimo seemed to be dominating Godzilla. Therefore my belief is that Godzilla and Ghidorah most likely fought many times, and most likely Ghidorah severely hurt Rodan and killed Mothra, and Godzilla by himself could not beat him, and so he went to the hollow earth to find Shimo, and trick her into chasing him, or tricked her into standing near a portal and tackling her through, then when on the surface, once Ghidorah attacked, Godzilla was able to convince Shimo to help. They fought him together and Godzilla was the one who bested Ghidorah, while Shimo froze him. Furthermore could be a cool way of connecting it to scar king. Like because Shimo fought Ghidorah, she was super tired when returning to the hollow earth and therefore was able to be overcome by Scar King and the apes, they were shown to make weapons of Godzilla’s dorsal spikes, so since Shimo is another big lizard they probably were like “Let’s take one of her back crystal things to make a weapon” only to realize that with the crystal that could control her, soon they tried to attack the surface, but Godzilla, still weak from his fight with Ghidorah, came down to stop them, sending Shimo’s distress or hearing the alarm signal sent by the Iwi people (maybe their original protector was a Kong or Shimo, and regardless they viewed Godzilla as bad, but now they realized they needed help, anyway Godzilla comes down and fights them, and in his severely weakened state, realizes he can’t win so instead traps them However there is one thing I slightly disagree with. Now I could entirely be wrong, and if I am, someone correct me please. But in the movie and in the novel, does it ever officially state that Godzilla was preparing for Shimo and Scar King? Like I know he does prepare and gets powered up, but that was because the IWI hollow Earth tribe was sending out a distress call. Even in the trailer it says “They can feel it, Kong, Godzilla, something is coming, something even they’re afraid of” so with that I’m wondering, did Godzilla actually know it was scar and Shimo, or did he just hear the distress call and get amped up because he learned his lesson from last time that he can’t rush head first into an unknown fight without being rested charged up.

Thank u so much for covering this. Everyone has they’re cope bottles when talking abt this. I think, Godzilla having a kaiju that can CLEARLY beat him but still fights and tries to win either way. Is so RAW to me, something like Rocky fr. Still, the fact that she holds back the entire time while handling such powerhouses like Goji and Kong without breaking a sweat or feeling any actual pain is insane to me. The next villain has to be weaker than Shimo so Goji can still handle them, because there is no way Godzilla is gonna handle a bloodlusted opponent with the same power level as Shimo. I just can’t see that happening YET. Great video dude!

I don't agree and GXK kinda prove that Goji not only could take her, defined could beat her.....Shimo defined have the size advantage and her Frost Breath is insanely powerful, but Goji after the upgrade manage to man (or beast in this case XD) handle her in melee fight, and when she frost actually FROST Godzilla, he power up break the ice no problem no fatigue nothing....and the most interesting fact happen at the end of the battle when Scar King was death.....Godzilla unfroze the entire second attempt of Ice Age Shimo started, by just shooting his Atomic Breath....in my opinion after upgrade Godzilla proven to be the most ALPHA of all Titans....also Shimo not seem like she wanted or ever was interesting on fighting, I think she is a peaceful Titan much like Mothra, only when is absolutely necessary would join a battle, what make her battle experience probably low compared with Godzilla or Even Kong, hence why she probably got capture by the Scar king and his army.

Only because she can throw her weight and size around. I'd be willing to bet pound for bound Goji is stronger.

I can already imagine how dangerous Shimo would be if she truly was the real antagonist and Skar King was just the cover up. Like, it’d be revealed that she’s actually a very violent and highly feared ancient Titan that even Skar King is secretly afraid of, and that crystal he uses is his only means of keeping her from killing him whilst using her to fulfill his own ambitions.

Shimo isn't aggressive because she is so over-powerful that nobody challenges her so she has no need for aggression.

Since the movie came out I seen a bunch of fanboys say "Ohh, but Godzilla was toying with Shimo, he would destroy her" refusing to accept Shimo was literally shrugging him off while not even focusing on him most of the time.

The novel put Shimo at around Ghidorah's level, or MAYBE slightly higher. And as I understand it, it was Godzilla who defeated Ghidorah. But at the same time Shimo caused the ice age in response to Ghidorah's terraforming. Which might explain why Godzilla had no interest in killing her. As for Evolved Godzilla vs Shimo, I think Shimo has a slight advantage physically due to her size, but he has the stronger breath weapon. Which evens out overall.

In the novel they state that Godzilla was happy of being able to resist Shimos breath. Even in the movie they show hes the only one who can not only resist but also break the frozen state

The only sorta "rematch" i could see occur would be Shimo attacking Gojira to save him from death by meltdown, should he ever reenter his burning form, saving him by cooling him down after beating whatever the final big bad is.

Some fans say Godzilla defeated Ghidorah in the past, and they're partially right. Now that we know Shimo caused the Ice Age, I was half right about Shimo freezing Ghidorah by freezing the planet.

Honestly it shows how darn secure things will be under Kong in the Hollow Earth. With Shimo as an ally he’s got plenty of firepower on his side. Definitely makes sense that Godzilla was so aggressive in powering himself up in expectation of facing Shimo. She’s a true powerhouse.

In a way it’s like Godzilla is Goku, he’s been in many fights and has grown stronger from each, while shimo is like broly, unaware of how to control her power or rather not wanting to fight unless given a reason or forced-like Super broly

Shimo is the most heaviest, tallest, and possibly one of the strongest Titans in the Monsterverse. Godzilla knew she was being influenced by pain and torture, so he had to free her at all cost.

I hope shimo appears in the next movie.

The only reason Godzilla would win is the old saying, 'It doesn't matter the size of the dog in the fight, what matters the size of the fight in the dog.' Shimo clearly doesn't give a fuck about the fight.
