It would be great to have some sort of shiny indicator in the overworld for shinies that look similar to their normal forms.

It’s baffling when you look at things from a game design point of view why such a well-liked mechanic was removed in the game. There are plenty other frustrating decisions, but for something as simple as just not putting a sound file in is extremely frustrating

like I've said in the past.... the sparkling effect from let's go and the audio from legends would make the SV games near perfect... although I'm not too concerned about the audio part just the visual for the ones that are hard to spot. There's also 3 camera zooms instead of the 2 when you click in the analog stick when zoomed in closest to the character, the game tends to run better.

It was unrealistic to expect such a fundamental base game thing to be fixed in DLC . and im betting strongly it will never be fixed in SV.

The only thing I like about the update/DLC is that they fixed outbreaks so pokemon with multiple forms won't just default to one form e.g. Flabebe.

Personally I love shiny hunting in SV, it's a very fun pokemon experience, however I do agree I wish shinies were easier to see. My best tip for anyone, is to play on a big screen tv, if possible, or any tv for that matter. The bigger the screen, the easier to see the shiny. Ive shiny hunted SV with just simply switch, and tv, trust its a massive difference.

sadly at least being blind or visually impaired shiny hunting has been impossible since Sword and Shield.

it's frustrating because they gave us visuals for both lets go AND legends then added the sound with legends then they do sv and nothing like- it's insane to me they just decided to not continue that??

the only positive i can say about the dlc is they had the courtesy of separating poltchageist outbreaks into artisan and counterfeit, meaning if you reset for outbreaks enough you can guarantee a shiny artisan poltchageist without having to bang your head against a wall. it's not much but it's something for completionists.

I love shiny hunting in scarlet and violet becasue I find it fun but I do have a lot of grievances I think that it is entirely possible for them to add the shiny effect and sound it seems like such an easy fix that would make the hunting 1000 times better than it is right now in legends it’s so rewarding to hear the noise and effect after hunting for a certain mon but in scarlet and violet it’s just less rewarding and hyped up than legends

Also accessibility issue some people can’t physically tell due to a disability is sad … a big company puts all these QoL things but they miss a Huge one 😔 hope they give us something

Bro these shinies are easy. I got so many shinies in just a few hours after release. Poochyena, slugma, 2 geodude, and 2 lotad. The 2 lotad and 1 geodude was within 5 minutes.

The video wasn’t really about it being difficult. Just the overall vibe for shiny hunting since the dlc is now a thing. I’m not complaining about finding shiny Pokémon I got 4 myself 😂 I just want that shiny animation and sound effect because it makes it so much better ✨

@SmkGaming05 I agree. It was like a cold splash to the face hearing that sound, instead now it's very lackluster and shinies can easily be missed.
