Is Shroud's Mouse a rip off in 2024?

I got one for around 70-80 USD on sale. It's got amazing build quality and the shape fits my grip very well. I don't mind the slightly heavier weight, since when I play with it, it doesn't feel particularly heavy. The clicks feel pretty good thanks to the tight tensioning. Overall, I think it's a great mouse if you can afford it, and it fits your grip. I think the dealbreaker for most would be its shape and price. I think it's a bummer it's got a bit of a Shroud tax, but I'd personally pay for it since the mouse fits my grip better than any other mice I've tried.

Tried this mouse. Wasn’t for me, but it also had an issue where when I lifted it and then put it back down I could feel and hear something like a spring vibrating. This wasn’t me slamming it hard or anything, this was just me putting the mouse down as I aimed. Probably an isolated thing but it definitely wasn’t good.

I've been using this mouse since it's release as my main, and I've truly loved it as a claw gripper! I felt like my aim 1000% leveled up. I just recently ordered an Atlantis Mini because I'm missing the weightless feeling I had when using a 50g mouse. Hopefully that one is my lightweight claw grip dream!

i'm using this mouse for more than 1 year and it's really an amazing mouse. For those who don't really like ultra light mouses. Before, I used the G703, and i think i prefer the 303 Shroud Edition

Edit: r/mousemarket has these for 60-80 bucks often. personally think this mouse is amazing. I swap between this and the Aria mostly cause I’m indecisive 😅 I pit black shell pink dots in it and… don’t mod it. It’s awful to open.

Wish the mouse was smaller, even for my 21x10cm hands its too bulky. The weight bothered me a lot mainly cause they could easily achieve 64G with a 200mah battery and without the drawer on the back. I do not suggest anyone to take apart this mouse, its so complicated it makes GPX looks like a normal design.

I mained a g Pro wired and G303. I wanted to upgrade to wireless and thought the Shroud Edition was the natural path up. The size increase didn't seem that big either. But once I had it in my hands and months of playing with it... It was way too big for me.

4 months now using this mouse and personally I love it. Def not the Capetown Final Mouse I was using but the shape and height is nice for larger hands.

I'm a current user of this mouse, right after I bought a razer basilisk v3 x, I've decided to continue using my old mouse. It seems so comfortable..

I bought the g303 at launch full price. As someone with bigger hands I just couldn't care if it is a bit heavier, and a bit average overall, for me the size and shape of the mouse is everything.

This mouse has the best shape on the market. But alas, the weight and price kill in the bud the whole point of buying this fish. Especially against the background of yesterday's announcement of LAMZU MAYA, given that the previous mouse cost less than $100, I think this one will cost about the same. But LAMZU weighs 43 grams

I don't understand the hate for Omrons- I have tried Huanos in Zowie mice and Kail 8.0s in Aira XD7 and I hated them both. And when people say 'only' 20 mill vs 80 mill, does that really matter? To me it doesn't and I will use Omrons because I prefer the quieter sound, short and fast activation and reset. And if a mouse eventually double clicks I will replace the switches because they are cheap to buy.

Love this mouse. The shape fits my hand and the back hump is unmatched.

I actually just got one and started maining it. I really like it. It fits my grip and hand shape really well and just generally feels good to use. Who knows tho, maybe I’ll like the xm2we better when I pick one up soon.

Bought it for £70 as I collect mice and I was interested in the shape. I was constantly adjusting my grip after 2/3 days I felt pain in my hand and gave up using it. I’m back to the xm2we and viper v2 pro. Might go back to it who knows. Atm sitting in the box .

still playing sometimes with my g303 which i bought after watching your review in 2015. this kinda makes me wanna get the new one as well but for now i guess i will stick with the x2 till it breaks

bought it used for $50 from ebay happy as F best m1 m2 clicks i ever seen, travel distance super small. instant reponse. can click 50 times a second ( about ) :) if youre holding mouse style is laying hands weight on the mouse. this is very good solid choice. i had over 50 mouses and this one stands super high as long as it fits ur grip style

I bought the 303 when it first released because I was in need of a new mouse and I figured why not give it a go since I have big hands myself. I did in fact pay full price and I'm still using the mouse to this day. Personally it's the best mouse I have ever used in my life. Its very comfortable for me to use plain and simple. Yeah 130$ is a lot for a mouse in my opinion but I don't like to cheap out on my tech and I know logi makes good stuff. I have replaced the skates for 3rd party skates and I've added grip all over it too since it can be a little slippery. The mouse is perfect for me and I'd happily drop another 130$ for it.

Funny how the only reason why Logitech stuck with Omrons is because it used to have a reputation of being a very reliable switch. Unfortunately, modern mouse design doesn't lend itself well to old electromechanical switches and is the reason why they started to get a reputation of double-clicking; that, and the fact that these Omrons are made in China.

I've had a lot of mice (Logi, Razer, SS) with Omron switches that have "double click" problems. All expensive "gaming mice" and some expensive non gamer mice (like MX series) should have optical switches in my opinion. I'm curious about this mouse because I'm am ambidextrous so sometimes when I take notes with my right hand I use the mouse on the left. Currently I use the G305 and a trackball M575 for normal use. But I saw this mouse at discount and I got curious.

G303 switches happen to have some of the lowest latency available. Rtings and a few other websites have extensive tests. When on sale the g303 is a phenomenal mouse. Couple things you didn't mention: The angular sides (less potato 🥔) make for a very relaxing grip. Large swipes for low dpi users are effortless. Second - the mouse wheel is NOT ribbed or bumpy. Just smooth rubber. Also relaxing for those office users scrolling web pages and productivity. I actually think this mouse thrives in non gaming use cases. USB c Relaxing to use Epic battery life

I main this mouse. I recently switched to xtryft MZ1 wireless and I enjoy that too. I think about the shroud 303. Few things people need to keep in my that it's only for claw or fingertip users only. If you are a relaxed claw type of guy then this won't work for you.

Love the mouse! I bought it when it came out. At first I thought it wasn't for me. Later I bought a Razer Dav3 pro with Hyperpolling dongle. I thought the dav3 would be perfect for me because i missed palm grip, but there's just something with the shape of the g303 that allows me to have superior aim over any other mouse.

if i like the za13, mm712 and xm1 do you think i will like this? my hands a decently large and i find the za13 WAY to small, and i find the mm712 too small too. xm1 is a good ize for my hands in a super aggressive claw. thanks nice video

Yes omrons are not really great but this g303se have Japanese omrons what is the difference they are nicer to spam there way more responsive saying it’s a low quality is saying you love brown switches only 😅 I like huana white dots they way more responsive and better to spam but everyone use pink dots it’s what you prefer kailh 8.0 switches are great in my tenz but there shit on my gpx its what you prefer shape definitely not for everyone

Bought at discounts for 80 euros, it seems that for such a mouse it is just a must buy. I have an og 303 but it was too small for me, the SE version is much more comfortable

Got my shroud edition. The shape is not for a lot of gamers I could tell. The GPX is better in my experience. Also QC issues out the wazoo when I got mine. Had two replacements sent. Still had major issues. Only mouse I have had major issues with other than corsair. I really wanted to like it though. 😕

i have a g pro superlight, but with time i hated the shape more and more. It feels so slippery in my hands, ordered a g303 xshroud, i hope the shape is better for me.

I have this and a G305 with a lithium AAA. I always end up using the G305 and it's $100 CAD cheaper.

But i ask my self is it really worth it for even that price? Since you have now mices like Dermoshark M3 with top technology and under 50€? "Ah but that's Logitech" I just feel this big brands just pushing the prices up cuz of the hype because you can see that some of the "top tier" mices in a 1 year time go down to almost 40/50%

To me it’s the best mouse. You do have to know how to utilize its shape. I feel some peoples brains aren’t big enough to figure it out.

I just sent mine back to Amazon. Very uncomfortable mouse to use. Shroud knows how to make money but on the other hands he doesn't have a good record of making big money for the companies he works for. G303 shorud edition was a flop. Microsoft streaming service was a disaster. If I would run a big eSports company I would stay away from shroud.

While Shroud is a great fps player, he isn't a great aimer per se. Now before you jump at me, let me explain. Yes, he does hit crazy shots, yes he does do insane looking maneuvers ingame. But if you pay attention to it, it mostly comes down to having great movement, very good prediction and being incredibly experienced in fps games. If you watch some of his rare clips where he is playing aim trainers you can tell that his raw aim ability, looked at in isolation without outsmarting an opponent or using other mechanics such as movement, is not that great. But I know that people who are hyper focused on mice are usually also people who are very focused on their ability to aim. Mostly focussing on raw aim. Therefore, while being a great player, I don't think shroud would be the best person to recommend you a mouse... People like TenZ are a different story for example. While also being a great player, he is also an insanely good aimer and like most good aimers, very focused on his mouse, mousepad and other peripherals and settings that can boost his aim. Someone like ELiGE is also a great aimer, besides being a great player. He is even known in the Voltaic community and holds a quite impressive rank there. What does that say about the importance of raw aim? And the importance of your peripherals? I let you decide that, but I would keep such things in mind when going for peripherals that are advertised by content creators and pros.

So at $90 it's king...at $150 it's a "massive disappointment." Little drama queen over here 😂
