I have 3 x SkyPad 3.0, a Cerepad and Cerepad Kin, and 2 x Pulsar SuperGlides that just arrived last week. I agree… Pulsar SuperGlides for me. The lack of flex, the adherent bottom surface… and the smooth glide is my perfect combo. It simply feels like a solid piece of… glass
@UpgradeLemonade
@UpgradeLemonade Год назад
This is a TRUE glass connoisseur 👌😎 question tho I've had people ask me about the Kin, how does it stacks against these two? Is it still considerably slower ?
@TheChillee
@TheChillee Год назад
@@UpgradeLemonade Regular Cerepad is like a refined SkyPad 3.0, its fast but not quite as fast as SkyPad 3. The Kin is not quite as fast as regular Cerepad (though still fast) but the coating on Kin gives it more control/stopping power. Cerepad seem to be less sensitive to the humidity and human sweat of hand and arm on its surface (picking those Holman oil smears). I must say, though, I have not seen any smearing while using the SuperGlide. In my preference scheme, its Pulsar > SkyPad3 = Cerepad Kin > Cerepad. I rate this as a very subjective ranking based on value to me: I love the Pulsar for its whole package, and then its either the speed of SkyPad 3 (comparable to Pulsar) vs the stopping power of the relatively slower Cerepad Kin.. and then the Cerepad. I guess I favor pure glass vs ceramic. Maybe some day someone will get me a hard mousepad surface that is near frictionless that will allow for glass mouse skates? LoL As an FYI, i mentioned I got two (Large) SuperGlifdes, one red, the other black. I lay them next to each other to have a single large 840mm x 330mm area of glass for my Logitech G502x plus and Logitech G915 keyboard. My keyboard (feet extended) does NOT slip or slide on the surface of the (red) SuperGlide pad at all… mildly surprised. I must say the completely covered lower layer of silicon rubber makes for a great gripping surface for the SuperGlide mousepads, a feature I like more than I would have thought.

@UpgradeLemonade
@UpgradeLemonade Год назад
Appreciate the kind words 🙏 haven't heard of Skypad slowing down... I'd try a glass safe cleaner or a cleaner safe for electronics (screens) give it a good wipe down. Other than that I'd also swap your mouse skates out if you haven't in a 3-5 months. Glass mousepads eat PTFE mouse skates up faster and you can experience more slowdown because of that. Good replacement skates are the regular Corepads , plus you get 2 in a package

@@UpgradeLemonade i have to essentially scrub the pad and the mouse feet with a microfibre cloth to get it back to feeling good but then that lasts for maybe 2 minutes before its back to feeling muddy. i thought it was humidity but im not sweating or anything. so i have orderd new mouse feet incase its just because my current ones are too old. thank you though ill give the glass cleaner a go. hopefully it gives some remedy even if for a short period. if not it will cross that off the list and help me figure out what to try next

The one thing I wish skypad had was the bottom of the super glide. The 4 tiny sticky corner things seem like a bad idea for me. Esp since I have a lot of experience with such things coming loose over time. Esp since it's more expensive than the superglide you'd think it would also have a fully covered bottom. This would also protect the paint ont he bottom from scratching.

I just got the Superglide. First glass mousepad. All I can say is if your skates are scratched or you have G- Floats or Superglides. You now have to change all of them. Other than that, I got the white L and it's pretty nice so far. Added control skates to my Xlites V2 and its smooth and quick, but not too quick. You do have more control than you would think.
@UpgradeLemonade
@UpgradeLemonade Год назад
Do not use glass or ceramic skates on glass pads, itll be an issue down the road with the mousepad surface since glass skates are a hard material compared to PTFE skates. But ya I will say your PTFE skates themselves will wear down significantly faster on glass pads cause the hardness difference. It's just 1 con of glass mousepads. And any dust or hair on the surface of a glass mousepad will make a scratchy sound when you glide on the surface. Not really performance affecting can just feel annoying

Appreciate it man 🍻 and yeah I did it's pretty much exactly the same. If you sweat or your room is hot they'll function the same. Even if it's maybe a little better at the start???the glass will warm up over a few hours of gaming regardless. Would this be an upgrade to let’s say a G440 Logitech hard mousepad? I recently got back into gaming after a year and a half and having hard time deciding which pad to go with. I like the Lethal Gaming Gear Venus/Mercury. I’m more of a wrist player, hybrid hold and 900 dpi. Any advice would greatly be appreciated.
@UpgradeLemonade
@UpgradeLemonade Год назад
Yeah I think both of these would be the logical step up from a plastic hard pad, they'll provide more smooth speed and are more durable. Speed pads like these and even your g440 are really quite nice for wrist aimers . Same goes with things like the LGG mercury in the hybrid pad side of things . You're in the right path 🤘

I own the SkyPad 2.0 with the intention of upgrading to either the 3.0 or the SuperGlides. What would you recommend between the two? I’m leaning towards the Superglide for a change since most reviewers are consistently stating there are no huge differences between the two.
@UpgradeLemonade
@UpgradeLemonade Год назад
For me the recommendation is Superglide, you just get more value for your $. it isnt a night or day difference and youll perform just as well on either (in terms of how they're overall glide feels) but I really like the Superglide. @@illusry7631The superglides felt like a let down to be honest. Because I’m living in a very humid area, it was a nightmare to play on the superglides, so I actually went back to the SkyPAD. Now, I went with the Atlas a couple of days ago, and so far, I’m favoring it over these two. @UpgradeLemonade

I mean everyone is going to build up heat/sweat differently depending on the individual and their own environment. But for me the humidity build up or stickiness was the same there was no difference. @@UpgradeLemonade hey, so i would like to thank you for you answer and also give you a little update on what I did. I ended up getting the skypad for 2 reasons, 1. the skypad was actually cheaper for me after using one ofthe codes, that is because they had cheaper shipping options and 2. the skypad is tried and trusted by many in the community while pulsar are known to have some QC issues with their superglide skates and their X2 mice and the price was to high for me to take the risk.

I've been playing on a Skypad 3.0 on and off for the past 8 months, but I've been maining them over my Hien and other cloth pads for the past 2 months now and I mainly play Valorant, and tbh I couldn't have asked for a better pad. The surface never changes and microadjustments are super easy + it's incredibly fun to play on. To anyone wondering if they should get a glass pad though, I must say that the Pulsar one seems like the better deal like you said in the review, assuming it has the same long-term durability as a Skypad, which we unfortunately don't know as of yet.

@UpgradeLemonade
@UpgradeLemonade Год назад
The composition and surface is not like their superglide glass skates , plus the bigger issue with their skates is how they wore down mousepads and handled humidity on cloth surfaces. This is essentially made the same exact way as a Skypad. There should be no durability concerns. Speed wise it's essentially the same with maybe a small touch of Control over a Skypad, but it's very subtle . Definitely not 'slow'
@poonzy7112
@poonzy7112 Год назад
@@UpgradeLemonade Sounds good it's a shame that lethal gaming gear is out of stock, I don't know if is worth buying from them directly. Also, how's the mouse skates do they hold up cause the biggest issue I've heard was that the pad destroys the skates, and you have to change them every few months. While on the other hand some people had no issue and used the same skates from 6 months to a year?
@UpgradeLemonade
@UpgradeLemonade Год назад
@@poonzy7112 hard to say cause I dont main glass pads. When im in between reviewing pads I go to my Xten Control. different skates will wear differently, plus users personal grip/pressure will affect that. In general tho yes glass pads do eat up PTFE skates faster

I just want to make everyone aware (since many have/will ask), the finishing and structure of the Superglide mousepad is NOT the same as their glass mouse skates. I have friends who have mained the Skypad brand for over a year and had 0 signs of wearing . Will it never wear? I mean technically it shouldnt, but anything can happen.
