@@itsvoo I mean people have been wanting Nexa and Hooxi out for a long time. And now between seasons, there isn't many T1 IGLs available. Snax is probably their best option at this time if they want Hooxi out and Niko doesn't want to igl.
@@Hjallapenos yeah but i'd rather have seen hooxi stay for another 6 months than replace him with snax which just wastes their time learning a new system and changing everything for ?? upside. i'll talk about this at some point but in terms of k/r and k/d on gun rounds, hunter has been worse than nexa in 2024. that team simply needed more fragging from players not named niko and m0nesy to succeed. even replacing nexa with an upgrade could've done it alone, imo.

I think Snax will be better than Mayonesy. All he has to do is aim for people’s toes, the lower he aims the better, but just like Zontix he’s aiming for the head but also the legs so yeah
malbs is just so much better than nexa that snax will probably gain some igling credit for simply having more firepower and inheriting some good parts of hooxi's system (presumably taz and Niko also played a part of developing that system)
I think a lot ppl dont realize hooxi and nexa are playing the absolute most bitch roles for g2. and over time you lose your sensibility as a player, you can't do things you want to even if your intuition tells you, because you have to play around monesy and niko all the time. I think snax will definetely tank some of his stats if he played like hooxi. The only hopeful thing i see is that somehow snax and taz can come up with a better game plan so the new team have better chemistry. If not then soon snax and malbs will just become g2 bitches 2.0
nexa actually playing roles that should get him a lot o lot of easier frags. Also dont think ive seen a more useless pit player on inferno in a long time
@@low1eeanchor is literally the worst position to frag wdym? They are literally getting pinched 24/7, let alone in pro plays where the main target is the anchor lol. It’s clear you only see them from stats and nexa’s one dumb death on Inferno and not his space making.
@@proosee i think the problem with drawing too many conclusions out of the dallas result is that we've seen time and time again that rosters perform incredibly when they know they're dead (as in, when they have 0 pressure), and at dallas G2 had 0 pressure. niko was calling hooxi's strats and the whole team was playing loose. Take the exact same event but instead of stewie being a stand-in make it so that hooxi was cut and stewie replaced him before the event and they might not even win just because of the change in pressure and expectations
after kick jks ,hunter must playing , in dallas niko igl good calls ,so i dont know why they dont make igl niko or nexa and take some good player ,or stewi2k stay in g2 ,i think this is just stupid what are they doing now , malbsMb is just niko ,so they can make niko igl and malbsMb open fragger . If you take some igl to team ,it is no sense watch stats
What's worth mentioning is that Hooxi has became quite impactful for his stats, his level has gone up during his time in G2. He can double entry and clear the round. I do not think he needed to go, but then again I do not know the insides of the team. Apparently Hooxi can be very emo and stuff like that, that can be enough for team to just be done with him. But it's weird, I think he's a good IGL who has made G2 work. I do not think he's the best but I think he's what they need. I am not sold on Snax, everyone loves Snax but I am not sure how he keeps failing upward, nothing he did in GL warrants this. He has to be a stopgap. And I agree with you, Hooxi would be a damn good pickup for Liquid
Just read(red) the hooxi interview seconds before. I think the 'not talking openly' issue is still costing G2. I'm a 8 year G2 fan since the very first French roster and I gotta say, they might regret giving up on hooxi instead of hunter this time. :/ In my imagine the perfect G2 lineup would be -nexa +some god tier anchor like perfecto, -hunter +some crazy aggro rifler like malbs, donk. Put niko back to pack rifler, let him bait fucking hard like blamef. He's still one the best clutch player in every situation. Putting him on entry is great, but not unreplaceable. The last is get a good, experienced coach.
A pattern i noticed with good mechanical players vs "bad" ones is that latter seem to just walk with shift a lot, instead of clearing angles with small strafes, like niko does for example. It's crazy to me how at this level people clear angles with shift so much, even snax here did it a lot and I worry that against better teams he will get punished and just give up free kills
Also want to add that - you said it in the last couple minutes in the video: Hooxi did bring out the best side of m0nesy which is very scary. Compared to aleksib's time it's literally 100% m0nesy vs 20% m0nesy On the niko side, maybe Hooxi gave too much room to niko lol. He plays way too freestyle and aggresive. Niko is important in every stage of a round - late post plant stage >>> opening stage >>> mid round.
i think neither snax/malbs is a perfect replacement for either of hooxi/nexa. from what they're saying in interviews there'll have to be some shuffling of positions to get it all to work
hooxi got way more hate than he deserved. i really wanted to see them -nexa -hunter and keep hooxi niko monesy and rebuild around those 3 instead of dropping him. if they coulda gotten two other solid players i think hooxi coulda cooked.
Kinda crazy that beside eco hunting, Hooxi is slightly better than Aleksib in fragging department and way better than even Stewie, reddit would make you think otherwise
Unfair to compare different teams 1:1 because therw is teammates difference. When hooxi is clearly the worst aimer then other toer 1 teams focus on monesy or niko. If u play with a lot worse teammates then obviously its your aim that has to carry. So when other team has superior aimers then your rating also will suffer. Lets give snax a few months in same role and then we can compare
Having better stats than Stewie really isn't something to celebrate as a tier 1 pro in 2024. Stewie is a washed NA player who goes for overambitious entries all the time. And talking stats in general is really useless, you have to look at how players play. It's clear that AleksiB has way better aim than Hooxi.
Bro but both of them can fkin carry and drop 20-30 bomb when they are feeling it. Hooxie getting 20 kill or double digit kills in general is a once in a blue moon event.
If he’s dead the IGL should be calling macro not micro and making callouts of enemy locations in replacement of the players to take that responsibility off them you just spam through your spectators take in all the info and filter it so calls don’t get messy imo as a long time igl it makes the best use of your players skill and keeps the teamwork together
I think T-side win percentage may not actually be that important in CS2, compared to GO, as overall the game is much more T-sided. So we shouldn't worry about G2s T-side, as they much more skilled players like Niko and Monesy that can come with initiative and just clip heads at a moments notice. Mechanically speaking, Snax is a better aimer overall than Hooxi. Also, Snax's role will most likely be more like that of a supportive IGL, throwing lots of utility and setting up their players when entering a site. Since CS2 is more frag-oriented, teams will benefit more from more skilled IGLs than just entry and die IGLs than Hooxi. Will this make G2 a world class champion team? Eh. Can they be worse than the previous version? I don't think so. Keeping Hooxi forever also won't solve their problems, so at least we should appreciate their initiative to improve for the future.
G2 really wants Niko and M0nesy to move on don't they? I mean there weren't any established IGLs on the market but they're wasting their time like s1mple's time on early Navi it seems :/
This is a totally unsubstantiated claim, but Snax just seems to have better in game awareness than Hooxi. I can't speak to the IGLing, but fragging and positioning wise, Snax seems superior.
there is no good IGL on the market rn and i think G2 picked the best one they can find, i dont think cadian would work on G2 roster or glaive. So i think this roster has chance to win some trophies cause remember people talked about HOOXI being bad and he got them 3 trophies for G2, on top of that SNAX is major winner and legend for Virtus.

In baseball games, batters who faced monster starters will likely to get it out on reliefers and closers. Snax will fucking get it and realize that nexa was playing the best he could and he will never be good as nexa or hooxi. Seriously, monesy is called the FLASH ffs and someone has to bot frag
