The first line EXACTLY! I laugh at all my dates now when they say she should be "ambitious". I'm like do you even know what it takes to have one ambitious person in the family? It takes a lot of sacrifice, courage to have one ambitious person around you. Career oriented is still a very small thing, to say "Ambitious" is a different thing altogether. They can barely live with a woman who has a purpose in life which doesn't involve feeding them, if she's career oriented, you'll hate her and divorce her, and God forbid if she's ambitious, then you will call her "crazy" "insane" and "ill".

I am just venting out in the open, no need to read. My father can't handle my mother's ambitious nature. She is a leo that too a mulank no. 1 by birth. Bro you chose such a person to begin with that too by going to extreme lengths by doing stuff to get your kundlis match anyhow. I wish they were more compatible though, more happy with each other and affectionate. I wouldn't even mind if they love each other more than they love me. One has insecurities, extreme male ego, patriarchal, communication less, needy attitude, frugal with her(not with us at all) and the other is ambitious, go getter, grudgy, harsh with words, egoistic (as a defence to his ego though)says things she doesn't mean and sometimes manipulative. At this age i don't know how to change their mindsets and attitudes but as an empath and overthinker m ruined honestly 😭😭 I have my own problems, I don't know what to do about them! Can't even ignore them and tell them to stop involving me as who else will they share their inner burdens to otherwise. But they just make me soo anxious like ...real wala anxiety. Because of them I don't even want to get married ever inspite of being a hopeless romantic. ....being a human being is so tough. Sorry i was just venting out. Don't mind me.

I was in your situation even a couple of weeks ago. BUT it all changed when i understood that no matter how hard i try to solve their issues, i can't.... And the reason being THEY wont take my advise ever. They will only complain . thats it. Thats the time i understood m giving away my life and my precious vital years trying to fill a pot with a hole in the bottom. Thats the time i detached enotionally from them, made it clear to them that i need to stay away from ANY problem so that i can focus on my studies and career. And promised myself that i will value these vital years of my life , i will be kind to this life that God has goven me and I will be successful . Honestly dear thats the best decision i ever had taken for myself. I hope this helps u. You matter, your individual self matters , this God given life matters. If u have to cut down on your empathy a lil bit for that then be it. Remember the Gods also had to take up the ugra roop whenever necessary. I was and am in ditto situation of yours babe. I am currently 26 yo struggling with my career. My love life is shitty bcz of trust issues I have grown bcz of them. Most men I have came across till now are not even ready to let me work / earning. I have emotionally detached from everyone including my parents. Being empath I have put alot of efforts solving family environment , given my entire self to relationships I have been through. But uh know what this detachment makes me feel lighter and happier , my vision is more clear, my decisions are quite logical and practical (which most people in my family don't like since I am a woman and I should learn to compromise). I would suggest uh that start putting efforts for yourself , relax , take a break from them. Learn and implement the concept of empathy and sympathy. Lots of love and hugs babe!

Have started chanting certain mantras hoping for only good vibes and warmth in our home and among my family and realised that no matter how much I try I can't make things right for others and I should probably stop trying to control things. A step towards spirituality has not solved my problem but kuch kuch chize to acchi Hui h. Especially my mental health. Just imagine, how many men who lose their marbles if its even suggested that they'd have to manage the lionshare of household stuff, family obligations, and parenting. Because that's what the other partner have to take on to actually support when one partner is 'career driven' and not just employed. When the women is career driven, it means you'd have to do the cooking when she has huge workload which demands her full attention for a while. It means you have to take on all the household chores. That means you have to go for the meeting in schools for the kids, pay attention to the kids, their emotional needs, their academics. It means the guy would have to be secure enough to go for any commitments with relatives alone. It means the men have to take care of his parents as well as spare some effort for her parents as well. See how many men will go bonkers even imagining that those phases will be frequent in a 'career driven' women's life. Meanwhile, these are all expected from women whether their husbands are 'career driven' or even just barely employed.

Behavior of career driven women is an issue- she should learn how grounded men become when they reach at top, start eaening really good, the first thing men do is taking care of family. For women its opposite , thats the issue. Career driven women, don't remain grounded like men, maybe because its their first time doing so in family😂, while men have been doing this since generations. Career driven ladki is way more musculine in nature bcos she has to get into it. Not necessarily everyone treats her like a maid. You must be sharing your own experiences. There are end number of guys, who treat their women like Princess, just as equal as themselves. Because they respect her central roles as someone who binds the family, nurture the kids and be the homemaker. It's no small a job than so called career driven blah blah..being just career driven is too small a job than a homemaker..

Lol, reminds me of the Jyoti Maurya case. Her husband paid for her studies and she left him after becoming IAS because he was no longer good enough for her and started having an affair with another officer. Have seen a lot of cases in real life as well. Recently in guwahati a woman seeked divorce from her husband after becoming IPS. Have seen a lot of cases in real life as well. While it's also true, that some men are egoistic and can't handle women's success. But to imply that's the sole cause is sheer ignorance. Sometimes, women too can't look at their partner the same way when they get success in life, the immediate thought is "i can do better than him".
