Sorcery is a bit uncanny for me, the art and the round corners and the textboxes remind me of some old boardgames I have. Some cards I don't want to look at and others are brilliant and then: Omg I saw the Riddle Sphinx! I spotted the signature stamp and its actually the same Artist as the MtG ("Hot") Revised Fire Elemental! Now I love Sorcery, with mtg censoring snakes on Secret Lair cards printing fantasy-art like it's 1989 is a statement. And Melissa A. Benson is a brilliant artist.
So I opened a beta box tonight after watching your video and I also pulled a Blink Foil error card with the blizzard art work. Crazy! Perhaps they aren’t as rare as we thought haha still cool tho!
If ripping to the left doesn't work, try from the right. All of my beta packs have been EZ to open, just grabbing the middle flap and pilling one way or the other.
Opening and collecting this product feels great. MTG was my first love, and I still love MTG, but I'm all in with Sorcery. Glad you are doing box openings. More than that though (whether its for your channel or not), you should pick up the precons and try and learn the rules and play some games. Its really fun to learn, especially along side a friend if you have one who is interested. The precons are pretty cheap. Josh, do yourself a favor and get the damn precons if you don't have em and at least some beta boxes for yourself lol. I know you say you have been burned by indie tcgs in the past, but don't let that influence you too much and cloud your judgement about how awesome this game is.
I will definitely reach out if I decide to check out the gameplay but for now with a full time career, family AND the channel I am going to focus on my collection and go from there. You will DEFINITELY know if that changes and I will fire up some games on the channel
@@HometownTcg Oepsie... but since I am not "realy" into sorcery... Thought you showed the opening of the BLACK Sorcery Mox... so thought. Well, if you like I can, or even you, remove the comment? Do whatever... Have a great week.
That's just the decision the team made - I gotta say it does make for a nice contrast with the card, and I enjoy being able to see the full art. can make display feel a bit tricky tho
I had to dig a bit and it looks like Cubbies is spot on - its a known misprint and is making the card catch a pretty good value on the secondary market!
The bilzzard error is known. There's another foil missprint card as well that I cant remember off the top of my head. But thats just how they printed them in beta. Twas a boo boo
Opening a Missprint is such a letdown makes me doubt the product. I had 2 Printquality missprints in MtG when I started playing again and was so disappointed, that I always checked if the booster was made in Belgium or in the US because if possible I avoid US boosters the US MtG card even feel cheaper than the belgium ones they are rougher to touch and often lower on ink used. Something like that should not happen especially if you are a new game. I don't care about missprint secondary markets I want good quality cards from every tcg or boardgame I buy.
Honestly truth be told it was fun for a single play through but I hate the wording and the rule book packaged in sucks. On top of that even the pdf isn’t that great.
