Here is a Review/Overview of the Spartan Fixed Blade Alala and where it lands on if you should buy it or pass by it. #edc #knives #knifelifeedc #edcdump #edccommunity #everydaycarry #tools #spartan #fixedblade
You used the strap correctly FYI. The larger secondary strap is for the belt. I ordered a kydex sheath from 9 rattles or whomever and it was subpar so still need to order a custom from Armastus. For $100 I'm not too upset but wouldn't pay more. Mine outright couldn't cut out of box. Had to be totally reprofiled.
Thanks for letting me know. I’ve had a couple people say it wasn’t but oh well. The only thing sharp on it really is the point. It definitely needed a good sharpening.
I have two Spartan knives, Difensa and Horkos, neither were hair popping sharp out of the box. Quite toothy/gritty, I had to strop each of them a bit to get them somewhat slicey.
That’s true it is but it can be utilized as such. I have seen people who don’t carry them in their belts and in their pockets and use it as an extra retention strap while it is in their pockets. I carry mine in a bag so I use that strap so if the button release gets it, it’ll stay in the stealth. It’s just an extra safety in a way for people if that’s how it is needed
@Jason Patrick yup sad to say that’s the truth. That’s why it’s hard for me to buy something that has just come out or pre order because there isn’t any reviews on it yet. I need to start selling some of my older stuff or stuff I don’t carry anymore. Mostly so I can buy and try more new stuff.
@Jason Patrick my collection is slowly growing but thinking about getting rid of some of my budget blades. Thinking about just putting them in giveaways instead of trying to sell them. At least some of them I’ll giveaway. I would like to get ahold of a Chris reeves knife or a tactile turn so I can give them a review.
