see the first mistake was thinking you'd be able to have a stardew valley session that lasts less than 2 hours.

and if the vanilla game isn't enough, there's an entire thriving community of modders and mods that'll add more things to do and more NPCs to meet

I felt rage-bated by the series and the title, i love Stardew, I was so ready to fight you about this... I'm glad you gave the game a chance, and I'm glad i gave the vid a chance. Stardew Valley is a treasure! It sure is a farming game, that's on the description, but I'm happy it gave you a good first impression. "I couldn't put my controller down to save my life" is such a great review and encapsulates the feeling of playing Stardew Valley... and wanting to play just one more day! Amazing choice! I have never been this invested in a new channel. One piece of advice I would ask you consider is perhaps shorten your 40-ish second intro by half, if not more. Your content is similar to splattercatgaming, and he often jumps right into it, or uses a really cool catch phrase thats short and catchy, and i feel no need to click off my work/game to skip it. I just worry people will always skip your intro as it is due to our horrible attention span nowadays haha. Spitballing possibilities: "TWO HOURS [dramatic sound] - Thats all the time a game has to impress us before Steam's refund window expires. This is Refund Review, where I find out of games can pass the TEST to IMPRESS, or I refund it." "Welcome to Refund Review! Today Im going to find out if I think [game] is worth YOUR hard earned money, but within Steam's 2-hour refund window. lets get started"

Oh yeah, Stardew is amazing and you barely even scratched the content iceberg. Things like ranching, cooking, the skull caverns and the ginger island add a whole lot of stuff to do. Also if you care about things like maximizing your profit and/or being less confused all the time I really recommend the absolutely amazing Stardew Valley wiki.

Here's a tip: In Summer, plant blueberries with Basic Speed-Gro on the first day. You will end up with more blueberries - and as a direct result, more money - than you know what to do with.

Absolutely NOT "Gushing". The game is EXTREMELY good!

If you think thats crazy wait till you play multiplayer. Between my wife, daughter, and I we probably put in 1000 hours just from weekend gaming.

The biggest joke is often regretting paying for a game happens after the 2 hours playtime. Stardew Valley is a horrible example here, because you literally just cannot disappoint in this game.

One thing I love about Stardew that wouldve been impossible to see in a 2 hour review: the extensive endgame. As you go on throughout the playthrough, new things to do just keep popping up left and right. Even after a full in game year, there are new conversations and activities to get into, new areas to explore, items to obtain. The game is designed to be played forever, and some people have upwards of 30 in game years on their save file because of how much there really is to do. Even after achievement hunting for the hundreds of hours it takes to complete the game to perfection, you can always decorate your farm and all of the in game areas, including the town. Especially after the latest updates, endgame has gotten a ton of new content. Its the game that keeps giving.

You should do a video review each on Nine Sols, Bo Path of the teal lotus, terraria, deep rock galactic, outer wilds, the last campfire, wizard of legend, noita, enter the gungeon, hollow knight, bug fables, Psuedoregalia, pizza tower.

Speaking of depressing there's some VERY heavy topics in this game. EXTREMELY sad stuff.

Steam Refund Review is a Great idea!

Great idea for review formats, I just need more games to release on on gog since they've got a 30 no time limit policy 😂

The really good things stardew valley has, you can play the games at ur own pace.

Steam sold me a broken game and when I discovered it I told them about it and they're response is "Meh, you 're past the 2 week point:". HAHAHAHAHA well I'm VERY LIKELY gonna take them to small claims and get back my 99 cents. Not that it's bc I NEED that money but they sold me a BROKEN game that I CAN'T play.

Stardew is the kind of game than can be both zen or stressful depending on how you play... wait until you see the speed running community... :)

I enjoyed exploring and fighting in the mines... a lot... everything else? no... good thing i got a refund... game's just not for me...
