I began container gardening two years ago on my front paver patio but last year grew everything from seed! We put in 5 raised beds (varying sizes, heights, & materials) and are still building it out. As we have been building, several neighbors (walking and in cars) stop to ask if they could get our card or info😂. Even more stopped to see if we had plants for sale. I've given advice and tips and even encouraged some to start their own front and back yard gardens. I realized that I could make something bigger over time only from the research I've done, experience I've had, plus combining my prior interior design (plus a little landscape design) knowledge and experienc- a recipe for a fledgling garden business!
I live in a small town and just thinking about how many parks get waters just to get cut down endlessly. Just to be there and generally remain unused. I'm not saying to remove all of the grass and parks, but maybe some % of each one. Why are these parks not public gardens, instead of lawnmowers, hire in landscapers and gardeners to care for it and grow food for the communities. It would be a good way to find like minded folks around the community too. intersting thought.
I too have a passion for sustainable gardening; I'm also a minimalist, meaning less emphasis on the money side and I couple this with a semi nomadic lifestyle preferring to work for permaculturalists or communities in exchange for food and accommodation, whilst learning and exchanging ideas
Thanks You so much🙏, I really love the way You teach💚. I'm from Perú, i'd like to become a garden consultant, but there's a FORBIDDEN MESSAGE on your web. Is there any other way to get in touch for more info?
