You guys hit the nail on the head when you said that Sting's AEW run has been exactly the correct way that you use a legend; like, he not only could go for his age, but Sting was always just beloved and contrast that to Ric Flair where I never want to see him again as long as I live. Also hope that you guys have a great time at Mania Weekend.

Hey I'm the same age, high five... I'm just gonna imagine you high-fived me there. I watched that Sting match on Sunday and it was bonkers. That man is 64 years old and went through 2 tables and a pane of glass. It was unbelievable. And how about that Darby Allin bump? My favorite was when the camera held on his back and you could see about 200 small red dots forming and then growing bigger into blood pools. That match was insane.

I really like Sting. It's so weird when you compare his career to Warrior's; Warrior spent maybe 4 or 5 years as a top guy with a lot of drawing potential before dropping off completely. Sting has been at the top of the business for 35 years and is still a huge draw. Just goes to show what a career you can have in wrestling if you're a good solid worker who doesn't shovel drugs up your nose like Henry Hoover. Not only are most of the people he came up with retired, a huge proportion of them are dead. Yet there's Sting, plugging away, doing good work. Steady as a metronome. And all achieved without ever really working for WWE outside of one very short abortive run, which is the biggest surprise. I think he realised quite early on that the WWF (as it was then) was quite a toxic envornment and he just didn't really want any part of it, and more power to him.
@pmc8451

You said your age and I realized why I feel like someone finally gets me. Lol. I'm 47 and love the glory days of the WWF. I have some great stories from a few Nashville house shows in the 80s I'll have to share in the comments soon. One involves one half of the tag team jobber legends The Shadows and another about Macho Man and a drunk dude standing next to me as Savage and Elizabeth walked to the ring. I'm from the Nashville TN area so I've been fortunate to be in the heart of the sport. Oh... There's a couple short stories about shooting hoops with a neighbor down the street named Tracy Smothers as well as getting an autograph from Barry Horowitz.

You guys hit on an important thing: When Mike Jones debuted in Tennessee he was "Soul Train" Jones, huge muscle man, wearing the red, white and blue trunks that Carl Weathers wore as Apollo Creed in the Rocky film. He was very over, military pressing men over his head, winning belts, tagging with Rocky Johnson and going over top region stars, Tommy Rich and Austin Idol. Two year into his career he got signed to WWF and boom, he was bland as dry toast. That was not his character choice. They didn't let him talk and he was a butler.

Interesting to learn dental hygiene is still a struggle in the UK. Perhaps an appearance in the new edition of The Big Book of British Smiles?

My mom grew up in the country where they had no fluoride in the water and my dad grew up in the city where they did Quite a difference in their teeth.throughout the years. I had fluoride tablets in live in the county and all my teeth are just fine. They even pulled enough teeth before I had braces that all my wisdom teeth had room to grow in. Haven't had any cavities and I'm fifty one.

Nah, we just like to start a big old recording session with a bit of a free-range warm up chat. We did 2 jam-packed hours on Souled Out 1998 after this, but you gotta warm up

I watched the match and hated it, but will admit I was really confused when Joe Biden got in the ring and laid down on Sting.
