Stonehenge is a huge mystery with a lot of history. But is this stone circle worth a visit all the way to Stonehenge which is located far away from everything?
Follow me along my day trip from Bath to Stonehenge and see for yourself whether Stonehenge is worth a visit or not.
I will also show you a great alternative to Stonehenge for Budget Travellers at the end of this video.

Min 6:30 - Marmalade refers to orange jam. Jam to all the rest 😊

Stonehenge is a really interesting and mystical place and Bath a stunning city with so much history 🤩 I definitely recommend to visit them both ☺️

Thank you for 'reviewing' Bath and Stonehenge. I've never visited them but now think it would be well worth it.

I was impressed by the enormous size of the Royal Crescent building. Its architecture and dimensions are very impressive. I imagine that being inside, its hallways must be very long and it may take several minutes to get to the other side on foot 😅 It is impressive how curious one is about how the people of those years managed to carry those enormous stones to form the Stonehenge. Apart from the people, I imagine that with the wooden blocks, perhaps they also used many horses and oxen to transport those huge stones You are also right in saying that it's not really worth it to go and visit just the Stonehenge, the place and nature are really beautiful but it would be very boring, if not also combine it with visiting the city of Bath and the truth is that I was impressed that the water in The Roman Bath building has that temperature of 46°C 🥵

It would have been interesting to explore the royal crescent from the inside 😄 Yeah, Stonehenge is a great mystery but a very interesting place to visit. But I also agree that Stonehenge should be visited with some other place in the surroundings and Bath is definitely a beautiful city with lots of history and a lot of things to explore 🤩

8:10 in. Before anyone starts up with the conspiracies on how they got those big stones up there! THEY DIDN'T. The top of the vertical pillars were dropped into dug holes & the Horizontal top blocks slid on top AT GROUND LEVEL. Then they dug the dirt away to revel what you see now, this was proven in the early 1970'2 by geologists who studied the soil and its displacement. EZ DONE!

Another fantastic video of the area I live, really great representation and very fair comments about Stonehenge which I completely agree with! Salisbury by the way is pronounced "Sols-brie". It's very obvious really, simply pretend the a is an o, ignore the i completely, lose a syllable, and substitute bury for a soft French cheese! Also "touristic" is absolutely technically correct, yet native English speakers never use that word! I don't know why, but we always say "touristy" rather than "touristic". Its like an evil little easter egg in our language to identify non-native speakers (completely unfairly)!!

Hahaha thanks a lot for the “touristy”-hint 😅 I’ll try to hide the fact that I’m a non-native speaker a bit better in the future 😁 I’m very happy that a local is enjoying my videos! Thanks a lot for watching, for the little English lesson and for your feedback 🤗

It's a shame Sonehenge has become such a tourist trap, but I guess that's modern life. I'm amazed at that we have learnt so much about it from studying it, but it's still has so many mysteries and secrets. One of the amazing facts we have discovered is that the blue stones came from Wales and we know exactly where they were quarried. Scones are dry but I recommend you eat them with jam and clotted cream if your diet allows it.

I also was amazed by how much they learnt from studying this site. It's impressive that they can tell where the stones were coming from. For me it was a really interesting and unique place to visit ☺️

En abril de este año hice el tour desde Londres a Stonehenge Windsor y Bath, ya Windsor lo conocía pero del recorrido me gustó mucho la ciudad de Bath realmente vale la pena conocer.

You can walk from the nearby Woodhenge to Stonehenge on public footpaths without paying anything and still get a good view. Alot of people prefer to visit Avebury and Silbury hill than Stonehenge.

You must have jam and cream on a scone... Its very dry without. It would be strange to have marmalade with a scone. Normally its marmalade on toast in the UK...

I had it with jam and it was really good. But I also like them dry even though they are hard to digest like that 😅 Scones are so good 😋
