As a top 3 Yuji investor, it’s been Sukuna Kaisen since he appeared in the story 💀 that doesn’t mean he isn’t gonna get dunked on though, just like Nanami
I'm not even sure why people always say that sukuna is gege's fav character. Sukuna may have plot armor, but gege is trying his best to make sukuna's downfall not be underwhelming. Like can't y'all see that? Sukuna is gonna lose. Y'all "sukuna kaisen" mfs are stupid bruh. Gege is trying to give a satisfying ending, not an underwhelming ending like ds, that was quite rush. Because you can't convince me that kokushibo never met tanjiro.
These yuji stocks are fkn boomin a lil spike hit chapter 257 ik they called us out for 258 but idk yuji is locked in rn sukunas even pressed at yuji defo a top 10 char rn and he has so much to improve as a top 1 yuji investor I have to yap don't mind me.
@@libanali626 I think they had this expectation with Aizen and Madara. Neither of them had this presence like Sukuna did. I also think they got a LITTLE too comfortable calling Sukuna a "fraud" and now that we're surrounded by characters who are mentally vicious enough to square up with Sukuna, maybe it gives a lot of readers a sense of courage and they don't really grasp the fear.
This is the problem with reading JJK weekly. People often make up stupid complaints that don’t exist if you binge read or actually pay fucking attention.
Perfectly said. Sukuna has to be the way he is, we talking about a character that’s been hyped and teased throughout the story. Him not being this strong and a genius, would be much worse.
@@terencebarnes7393 they complained about the world slash and how he got Gojo for weeks and then they finally hear about the binding vow and the complaints just stop. Now we hear him using binding vows again and suddenly everyone’s like “asspull, he’s getting his domain back all of a sudden for free!!” Like no!! There’s clearly stuff that he did to help bring it back and the binding vows were a necessary component needed for it to work and EVEN THEN, it’s incomplete and falling apart but it obviously served it’s purpose. Now we need to know what those binding vows are but the people will just keep complaining until a explanation for the binding vows shuts them up
@@terencebarnes7393he’s more so referring to people like the gojo vs sukuna fight i think, like there are actively people voting for sukuna and im like but why doe
Except the story *doesn't* come out in binge collections. It comes out weekly. Critiqueing his pacing when Gege KNOWS that the story is weekly is totally valid.
@@yaseennechat4090 no? Do you criticize a show based on the individual episodes that come out weekly or do you wait and see how it turns out? We should judgr a story based on, y'know, the ACTUAL STORY!
My problem is with the writing because I really don't care what power ups Yuji gets he should in no way beat Sukuna which in turn goes into my next problem the way Sukuna is winning seems lazy not that hes winning but at the expense of all the characters we didn't even get a chance to know or really connect with atp they all seem like disposable characters only to show off Sukunas strength. So many missed narrative points that could've helped build the characters he's getting rid of then at least it would have a bigger impact that just. "They're gonna fight Sukuna now well RIP that character". Again its not Sukunas fault he's just guilty by association
My sentiments exactly. At this point Sukuna winning or losing feels meaningless to me. People like to say characters dying that way is "realistic" but that's a flimsy excuse for bad writing.
Mabye people got used to calling him a fraud, but they forgot that this dude is just him and people will also be ignoring the fact that he was holding back.
When we've been told several times in universe by so many different people from both modern day and past eras that Sukuna is the strongest, we really shouldn't be surpised that hes actually the strongest
People are letting the fact that Sukuna seems to be so resilient and skilled override the fact that it doesn’t make sense for him to be any less formidable. You can’t hype someone up and then there’s a simple way to take them out. ALSO, they’re allowing their hate for how the story is going to overshadow the intricacies and details being woven all over the place which could lead to a satisfying, logical and thrilling story ending. Judging too quickly because they get a chapter every two weeks. Read a few chapters together and slowly take in the detail and overarching set up
Madara was hyped from the start and when he appeared he was mopping the floor, sukuna isn't any exception.sukuna was so hyped from start that even gojo was concerned about him.the only thing I fear is that sukuna doesn't get the madara treatment,by doing that it would ruin his legacy.
I don't think he will. Jjk's power system allows for last minute gambles with thing like binding vows and with yuji's potential being through the roof rn, sukuna being completely fucked with more injuries then body parts at this point, I think thry will handle it well.
Madara is a bad comparison to make for one simple reason - Kishimoto wrote himself into a corner with the guy. Kishi outright admitted that in making Madara as capable as he did he eventually reached a point where he realized he'd made a mistake - there was no realistic way for the story to end with anything but Madara's victory. He no longer had any way to reasonable kill Madara off, which was how we wound up with the Kaguya plot "twist". Kishimoto had to basically rewrite and retcon huge swaths of his lore to enable a "good ending" where it was no longer about winning a fight but simply touching the Big Bad to seal them due to a hyper specific win condition. If that's the standard we're running with for Sukuna that's a big problem, because that's not good writing. It's short sighted and comes at the cost of potentially uprooting years spent establishing lore that the community has come to trust as concrete within the setting.
The problem is that Sukuna is bland af. Take other villains in other series that had similar gauntlets like Jubito, Madara, or Aizen, the difference is those guys were entertaining and also weren't defined by their strength like Sukuna is. Seriously I hope Gege does something to add to Sukuna's character because ever since he left Yuji's body he's been a disappointment to me. I miss Kenjaku and Mahito, they were so much better. Also don't get me started on how much of a Plot Convenience Man he is.
I think the problem with Sukuna is that some chapter he feels like a punching bag, and after being beat up for a chapter we are told he was always holding back the entire time, repeat it again, and again until all the characters are dead
I find it funny how nobody complained at the gojo glaze and "plot armour". Gojo rising from the dead was "plot armour". Gojo surviving MS when cleave is a one shot attack is "plot armour". Gojo using rct to regain CT was the biggest "plot armour". 😂
Gege only killed nanami because he was fully satisfied with nanami by then, I don’t think he will let nobara stay as she is and until Sukuna’s development is done, I don’t think it’s gonna end yet
It’s just Gege’s writing style. Make things feel hopeless. Make the villains overwhelmingly dominant and then lose in the end anyway. You’d think people would’ve caught on by now.
Hyped as the strongest in history since the first few pages of the manga…. People are just sour it’s not going according to their power of friendship narrative
I think it's more so because Sukuna has had literally everything go right for him from the start. Kashimo comes in and immediately activates MBA. Sukuna pops his revive and can easily kill him. Sukuna gets caught inside of Deadly sentenc- wait nope, his Curse tool will be confiscated instead for some reason. Higuruma's sword deactivating just before Sukuna gets stabbed. And now, Sukuna somehow popping a fucking DOMAIN EXPANSION with one hand and full strength against fucking YUJI somehow and also has The ten shadows still with him as well.
@@shirothr5384 so people prefer an weak Antagonist? I remember my days when i yelled why cannot Aizen finaly lose while ge transforms around 5 times. And when he lost i had the best satisfaction in all media.
@@ragna6410 Thats also why Fake Katakura town sucks as a finale. It sidelines most of the cast yet it also makes Ichigo incredibly stupid. Sukuna should not be able to pull off a domain. I expected more back and forth between Yuji and Sukuna, not Sukuna panicking and using up his last remaining strength for a domain expansion.
@@ragna6410people like a strong antagonist, but a consistent antagonist is better. Sukuna being the only one to consistently pull out binding vows that barely hamper him at all (while gojo doesn't even do one) feels like favoritism
Shonen fans: Wow all this hype for “ Madara, Aizen, Juha, ETC” get defeated so easily… Shonen fans: Wow when is Sukuna gonna cave in, why is main villian putting up such a fight….
@@thefarmer6541 ah yes, his domain coming back even though he literally couldn't use RCT and got BF'd 8 FUCKING TIMES. Even with his domain being held together by scotchtape it doesn't matter. He shouldn't be able to do it, It would have been far easier to have Sukuna focus on repairing his brain.
@@shirothr5384so what he also lands 4 black flashes so gojo gets his domain back after 2 black flashes so does sukuna there is nothing bullshit now I am genuinely curious how plot Armor gonna save Yuji's ass from flame of death and what will be your reaction
As a man who was looking forward to Kashimo vs Sukuna. I can say, while it was obvious who would win, it was very underwhelming. On the bright side, Sukuna has been doing the work.
Well during the Sukuna and Gojo fight, we were told that Sukuna can basically learn anything just by seeing it once, like when he learned to use RCT to heal the CT by watching Gojo, It's not that crazy that a domain can be open with one hand, I mean Gojo did It snd now Sukuna just copied him
@@willycofre6101 domain expansions are mor complicated than rct bro, if he did a biding vow ok but if he justs *poof* magically fucking learns it gege is on crack now, im not downplaying sukuna but this is bullshit at this point
The truth it’s not any bias at all, in fact I think gege messed up with sukuna because he realize how overpowered he could be. And I think we all know that in the end sukuna will lose. But the real question is how?
Sukuna definitely has some a_sspulls but it can be later explained by gege. The mfs eho say everything in jjk is perfect are just blinding meat riding without even reading the manga.
Sukuna is just another weekly SJ villain, not to say he's average but rather to say, nearly every SJ villain goes through a point where the seem unbeatable
Currently there’s nothing gege could do to keep me invested in jjk anymore. If sukuna died I wouldn’t care or be hyped about it because that hype is long gone
Sukuna has hyped/teased as being that guy since Chapter 1 basically. Was he just supposed die to Gojo. We literally have one villain now. I never expected Kenny to be the guy at the end, didn’t seem like the take on all the hero’s type. Mainly because he was strong enough for that.
@@mrperfumer2695 I'd rather see how it ends. Who knows it may change by the ending. A lot of my time and $$$ has been invested into this manga. So, I mind as well see how it ends although I have not liked the direction it is going since chapter 237.
@@Tojiii history will repeat himself sukuna will conquer again just as he did in heian era so you still have time to left and your favouritism is not going to change the narrative point of story and it is jjk not any kind of Disney fairytale story and bye the way even after chapter 237 story is perfect as it should be .
@@terencebarnes7393 Regardless of how long a character has been hyped does not mean they deserve unnecessary plot conveniences. I feel like the state of the manga is the result of this so-called "hype" for Sukuna. Gege thinks he needs to continue to give Sukuna all these convenient ways out of situations he is in just for the sake of the whole "Sukuna is strong" narrative. I would rather have Kenjaku than Sukuna. Kenjaku had a clear goal and is the reason JJK exists today. He is the reason Sukuna is in the current era. He is the reason Shibuya happened. He is the reason the Culling Game happened. As well as the reason Yuji exists. He has so many relevant plot points and Gege is wasting so much time on a villain with no real goals... He is boring... Sukuna literally just wants to fight. He could care less about the end goal (merger). I do not even feel like Sukuna is "strong" anymore. I just feel like Gege is protecting him until he is no longer needed by the plot just like Gege did Gojo. This whole Sukuna vs Everyone should have been over a chapters ago.... The merger should have started or SOMETHING NEW. This cycle is just tiring... It is not even cool anymore. We get it. No one but Gojo stands a chance against him. Move on.
It’s just kinda boring at this point. Oh there’s another character fighting sukuna, oh they got cut down in 2 chapters or less. Oh there’s another character fighting sukuna,- I like the series but Gege is going to have to come up with something really clever to make sukunas defeat or whatever happens feel satisfying. Or sukuna just wins and that’s also just kinda disappointing
Jjk is so mid. People act like its so realistic but its actually just super biased tto the villains. Shibuya no matter what was incredibly lucky. Jogo dodging toji, choso being about to use improv curse techniques, megumi not dying somewhere. Toji fighting megumi leading to haruka slashing him and mahoraga. Also. Why didnt gojo just one shot the disaster curses when he took out the 1000 transfigured humans. Also also, killing all the main characters isn't good writing. It wasn't a good idea when akame ga kill did it and it still isn't. Jjk gets carried by easily entertained people and mappa.
I think the problem is a chapter of manga is too short. At least for me. The final battle has been going on for like 2 hours at most but it has been more than a year irl. The hype which was at the beginning of the battle eventually died. Like most say a new character comes to fight Sukuna, does something and either dies or gets taken out of the fight a chapter later. That has become repetitive and boring but when you binge read it this battle is goated. The amounts of details and the extent characters are going through is intense and so awesome to read and once it gets animated my god this series will be among the greatest anime of all time.
