I hope Episode 2 has similar pacing to the first episode. The first Episode felt both quick and steady. It had the pacing of movie, but slow enough to really take everything in. We got new information consistently, but nothing was piled onto us to the point of the story feeling mushy. My predictions for the future: Dr. Arinsu is most likely going to create something big. I have one big predictions for what she could create: 1. a new Majin, similar to Buu. She's doing "research", and clearly needs "funding" to do that research. Plus, Black Magic was mentioned a few times in the episode. What if Arinsu creates a new Majin, similar to Buu? Since it seems Fat Buu, Super Buu and Kid Buu are the main versions of Buu Gomah and Degesu paid attention to, and Arinsu was supposedly spying on them, she would likely only know of those forms. (Besides "Majin Vuu" is literally right there when it comes to a name). Obviously, he'll go through the forms, starting with the Fat form, going to the Super form, then maybe going crazy and turning to the smaller, kid like form.
“Is Super Non-Canon?” Yes AND no. For so long, I’ve been saying that there’s like a weird open-ended air about how Dragonball Z ended back in the day. Multitudes of interpretations and ideas opened up. That same open-ended decision launched DBGT and now Dragonball Super and create what seems to be a multiverse of Dragonball canons. Each of which tells their own story, yet each don’t follow the same paths through their history. There’s no such thing as a “pure canon” for the Dragonball Franchise. The biggest example of which is Dragonball Xenoverse / Dragonball Heroes / Dragonball Online. More ideas for lore has been added for the overall universe of DB media but what Daima did when it came to introducing the idea of Shin having siblings and Kibito Kai defused thanks to Buu, Portara remaining “permanent”, etc, it just tells me that this is a BRAND NEW CANON specifically for Daima to follow BUT with modern day information included to it. Edit: If otherwise, upon consideration, that this does try to follow the Super timeline regarding Kibito defusing by Buu due to them explaining how in DBS, I’ll keep the idea of being another continuity (because I will allow myself to be wrong) since there are others that ain’t into the idea of multiple canons to follow and prefer a singular canon.
They said it will be “canon” and that some things or lore will be important later on when super continues. But the kibito kai thing with portaras is weird. 🤔maybe they address that in later episodes
The lore and such can be important later on when Super continues but also not be apart of Super. They can either take elements from Daima and not continue off of Daima or even have all the continuities meeting like GT, Daima and Super meeting up for like a movie or arc or something. I doubt the latter but yes just because it will be important later in Super doesn't necessarily mean it'll be connected to Super
Honestly, the Majin Buu stuff was expected because Majin Buu was a being who could fight and absorb Gods and things like that where in the recent Moro Arc it showed that Kid Buu actually had God energy inside of him, and Majin Buu can mess up space and tear through dimensions, and a bunch of ridiculous things, so Majin Buu's body and magic and things like that separating fused characters, more so godly characters and techniques, is not that far fetched.
I was smiling the entire time. So many bombshells. As for its its connects to Super ill wait until the series ends in case they have a twist up their sleeve. Bardock (Super) appears in the opening. Could be anything from a time loop to a different timeline. But traditionally continuity is something that Japanese Companies treat entirely different than American Fans and so another way of viewing seperate media is as expansion to different elements of a series and property as a whole with the same information crossings over in the background but not the foreground. In this case I'm betting on a direct connection however because they talked about how daima characters were also being prepared for showing up in super before everything else happened. So they were thinking about something, question is what.
Geekdom101 reported that Daima may be setting up future plot in Super. Also, that Bardock design originates from Minus, so they could still be referencing Minus and not specifically the events of Super, but I take your point about continuity not really mattering in the grand scale of things.
Desu, or... whatever his name was, the MaKioshin with Gomah the new Demon King calling the Supreme Kai and Arinsu "brother" and "sister."... There are rumors about a tree that grows a fruit. If it is golden, it becomes a Kai, but if it is rotten, then it becomes a MaKioshin. If this is true, then maybe them calling each other "brother" and "sister" is because they originate from the same place? Tell me what you all think.
I am a Gohan fan myself, and although I like Gohan being the strong, cool character that he is at times, I am ok with him staying with his family and if that makes him weaker, then so be it. I'm fine with that because that really feels like it fits with his character. Gohan is just way too human. Gohan was born on earth and raised in human customs and things like that, so he will definitely be more human, and it shows that when he is portrayed as weaker and with his family, because that's what he wants. He wants to be with his family. He wants to be a dad and be there for, and with his daughter as she grows up, he wants things that most other people want. It's like that little instance in the Goku Black Arc where Future Trunks met Adult Gohan and his family and he was sad that he didn't have that, because as cool as they are in fighting and gaining more and more power and just being cool and bad-@$$ you have to remember that they are still people. They have wants and desires and other things, because from their perspective, Gohan and Future Trunks, you always have to fight, you always have to struggle, you lose things and it's hard to just go on, they have losses and life is hard and they wish for their lives to get better. Looking at it that way and in that constantly fighting lifestyle there is barely any peace, if any, and you don't have time for yourself or your family, and you will have a lot of pressure on you and you will be struggling all of the time and so many things where you will feel overwhelmed, and you think about your family, and that things could be better and wishing that it wasn't this way and that things were different, having all this weight on your shoulders and just to a point where you can't be with your family and all of you cannot find really any real happiness if you're not there, and then it just gets to a point where you are overwhelmed and it feels like you want to quit, like you are sick and tired, you're tired of being sick, you are sick of being tired. That is what this would most likely do, maybe not everyone, but it is that way with Future Trunks and with Gohan, because of the pacifist that he is I feel like this is how he will be. That is why I am ok with Gohan being weaker and being with his family and things like that because that portrays his character very well, because that is literally who Gohan is, even in Dragon Ball Z when he was taken by Raditz and Raditz talked about him being born for battle and that he could have been a great fighter, but he said that he didn't want to fight, or when Goku made him fight Cell, Gohan didn't really want to fight either, even though he got more powerful because before he turned Super Saiyan 2 he was literally crying in his battle with Cell because he didn't want what was happening. It actually is alined with Gohan's character and who Gohan is as a person, because I am not going to lie, I was one of those people who, when I saw teen Gohan in the Buu Saga I was like everyone else in thinking, "This isn't my Gohan!" Or "They ruined Gohan!" And things like that, but as I said from looking back on Dragon Ball Z and everything, when he is not angry, through everything from Raditz and Cell and everything Gohan was not about that life he has a soft nature and that is who he is and who he has been during his whole life even in the Buu Saga. It actually alines with Gohan's character and that is why I love him, because it shows that he is different from Goku and Vegeta and he is a more down to Earth, human, individual, who is just living and trying to achieve happiness and other things in life, and that is what makes him a great character in my opinion, not his power, just his personality and characteristics of a good man who shows that even though he has the power he is still a person, not a warrior per say. It gives you that human, peace loving side to Dragon Ball with Gohan. Now, I am not pushing for Gohan to be weaker. I am not doing that at all. Would I want Gohan to become stronger? Absolutely! I love Gohan. I love when he is strong and bad-@$$, and I wish that he would balance work, family, and training and become strong and relevant again. I am just saying that if they do make Gohan weaker, then I would not be mad about that because that is who Gohan is, and it fits with his character. That is what I think about Gohan. Tell me what you all think.
I was hoping to see gohan in this series but I don’t see it happening sadly, which is a shame because damn it gohan is my favorite character growing up.
About,The potara thing well it was never stated that vegito have been fighting buu for an hour , also as long kibitokai comeback before the end of daima, we can say db daima is canon
Why does Dende look like a kid? In the Buu Saga and in the footage, he looks like an adolescent as he did in the Buu Saga, but when they go to Universe 7, Dende looks like a child like he was on Namek? Why? (Did he wish to become younger like a Demon King Piccolo thing so that he can be strong?)
@@catfoodytMaybe but it could take elements from Super without still being connected to Super, the fusion thing being changed could be an indicator of that
Gomah i didn't like that character!! He didn't seem bad ass. Also didn't like a pin number to travel to another world. Or question Gomah. Another then that its fire. Animated story. Can't wait for another episode!!!
