In our experience over the past nine years, we have not encountered any situations where a woman traveling alone with us faced such dangers. However, exceptions exist everywhere in the world, and for those who are affected, it is truly devastating. We’ve also never experienced dangerous situations between our male visitors and locals. Most of the time, when conflicts or violence have occurred, it has been between tourists themselves and usually only when the influence of alcohol or drugs is involved-things that aren't needed to live a peaceful life.
