I'm guessing the story here is that the d-class is trying to escape by disguising himself as an scp specifically scp 999 and then he sees 096 and knowing that the two were friends he thought that asking him how to escape would make sense but unbenounced to him 096 had a cake pop and once 096 turned around to answer the question the d-class revealed himself
