You should color code your boxes for the move. Like mid century boxes should be marked red, other categories other colors. Have a sheet explaining what color contains what category. That way whoever moves those boxes knows exactly where in the new shop to put them. Any colored tape works well for that. You don't need to tape the whole box up. Just a piece placed on a side.

You should make a shelf for things under $10 for all things that you are donating so you can make some money back, but have a timeline that if they don't sell then donate them.

Use your label maker with the barcode to inventory what's in the box. You can put those barcodes into a excell spread sheet to track what is in the boxes. I used to track things at a bank loan files.

I’ve been selling since 1999. Sometimes steady, sometimes not, sometimes I love it sometimes it drags me. I take breaks, I go whole hog. Boxing things up, marked and priced really makes sense until you find your bearings. I was down recently with knee surgery and I know it’s there when I’m ready to go at it again. You are a giant in this world, but give yourself some regular folk free time to ground yourself ❤️

I enjoyed this video, but totally bummed about the leak - yuck. Being a propertied business person - these things come up, you know. Comes with the territory. Coffee Vintage & Antiques is a great name. I would definitely go in that store. Banana box antiques sound bad. It sounds like a junk store. Outsiders don't know you use them. So that said your glass collectors will walk on by. I am totally saying this with love. I know sometimes I don't know how to text with tone. You have such beautiful things and banana box's don't cut it. For example it would be like a liquor store naming their store Bottle Return Bins.

Resellers needs to have stock. It's like a grocery store. They can't wait to restock untill all their items have sold. She is selling on 2 platforms and has 2 booths and she needs to make content for youtube which is her job.

With today’s economy and the expenses of reselling and buying sometimes cash flow is everything especially since her main concern is making RU-vid videos. I see her brick and mortar store is now a working warehouse versus being a public store front. Sometimes we bit off more than we should, going big isn’t always the right direction especially when employees are needed.

Sounds like your A/C drip line is clogged. I would put some big beach towels down so the water can’t spread over to Andrew’s boxes. I know you moves them but water spreads. Empty out that water collecting tote before it gets too heavy. Life is so fun sometimes isn’t it? lol😊

It sounds to me, like your AC Drip pan in the attic is plugged (perhaps with insulation) when it gets plugged then it will fill up and eventually overflow and come through your ceiling. My husband did construction for years and he has seen it many, many times.

My four units are in the attic and what I found out is the flexible drain tube has collapsed in my case plus I have other safeties built in as in a drain pan underneath the air handler and a water sensing switch in the overflow pan to shut the unit off. I’m also looking for the same on my hot water tank and dishwasher that will close off the incoming water line in case of a major leak of some type if possible.

Yes she needs to slow down, way too many hands in the pot. One person cannot do it all and hiring more help isn’t helping with her catching up that I believe is holding her back. She has a wonderful RU-vid channel and should stick to it and learn to improve her skills and videos.

With my tight budget, I look for those "low price" shelves when I'm out and about ... imperfect does not bother me and I'm thrilled to be able to buy something that I love. The thing itself still has beauty/utility. Re-donation could be a means of giving back for Jocelyn. But, sometimes, you just need to have the stuff gone. .

Most likely your store has a flat roof another problem and of course the drain lines are always a issue coming off your air handler, having a drip pan underneath the air handler and a safety switch to cut off the AC unit when this drain line overflows into your drip pan, this also includes thinking about your hot water tank too.

I have those amber glasses. Who makes those? I like the $10 & under shelf idea. Some people may want to buy from you but are on a tight budget and would like those in a buy it now. Maybe instead of donating if the items are sellable do mystery boxes. People seem to like reseller mystery boxes. 😊

Pricing is an art that most never get it, this is usually the problem with the older resellers and newbies is what I’m seeing in the antique mall that I have been selling at for over four years. It’s just amazing how we all see value in an item especially when we purchase it for only a few dollars. Relying on walk inns is always hit and miss at the malls and even at the antique shows.

This is probably a dumb question but what makes Neodymium change color How does it do it? What is it made of that causes that? Is there an element compound used to make glass when glass was limited? Was it made that way on purpose by chemists? I feel like if I walked into a home with it I would never know or care. What am I missing?

You are new here, aren't you? TL;DR version of events: This location is transitioning from a warehouse/on line sales venue into a retail store. Therefore, she's getting the items READY to sell when the fixtures arrive. That involves researching, pricing, and getting them into boxes and out of the way so they can build out the retail location.

On your local booth sells, price it to move it, learn about selling to your local resellers since they shop everyday versus the public that usually buys every now and then. Everybody likes a bargain as well as the resellers. Today’s buyers condition is everything, any issue should be donated or trashed. For getting best prices on your items nothing beats selling online.

Sailfly, I’m really curious. Do you think she’s new at this? She’s been a reseller for close to ten years I think. She’s had booths in local malls for years. She knows her customer base in the booth and online and knows how to price items accordingly.

@@sailfly2869 but she KNOWS. In fact, she is explaining her method of pricing items in this video. You are telling her to “learn”. She knows already. You are correct. I was in the booth and resell business for 10 years. Pricing for your market is something everyone has to learn and adapt with as the market changes . I’m just saying that you sound like you feel the need to teach her how to run her business when she is very successful at what she does already.

@@mamaG4Even with the indicators of eBay tools and worthpoint still doesn’t give you the best indicators for local pricing of goods let alone what does and what doesn’t sell in your booth. Another thing is I still cannot understand her without using the captions even when she is in her store filming, she is the only RU-vidr that I have this problem with.

@@mamaG4”I think” is a mighty big word, but have you experienced the life as a reseller and dealing with trends and buying real bargains and pricing to the extent of creating more sales and giving value back to your customers. Booth resellers should be selling at least twenty five items per week and getting a decent check each and every month. I would love to hear your experiences and opinions how the market is going on in your area. Business has been great over the last five years, but not I’m wondering if this trend will keep on going with everything costing so much.
