Do keep in mind that their children are still half-youkai. If circumstances say so, they might perform a bit of population control or just reenact OsanaReimu altogether.
There is a story doujin (forgot the format) where rumia has around 9 children and reimu has to take care of them all, including rumia. [Spoiler] reimu had to get rid of them due to the demand of the scared villagers.

What a lovely little story. It reminds me of a manga short story I read a while back where a guy who believes that nothing goes right in his life meets a girl who asked him to give her a chance "for one day". Every day he wakes up and says "Today is the day you leave me, right?" and she says "Not today." They date, get married, have children, and grow old together with him asking her every single day "Today is the day you leave me, right?" and her always saying "Not today." In the end, the old couple is in the hospital with the wife lying on her deathbed. He asks his wife "Today is the day you leave me, right?" She just says "Yes." I imagine the youkai saying every day "I'm going to eat you and the children today" and every day he says "Wait one more day and they will taste better." She says "Is that so?" and he says "Yes, that's so."
@@vkozyfire1514 I've looked everywhere for it after seeing this video. It was one of those dub mangas, like what you see at Etra Chan Saw It or Attack On Mika. I can't remember the channel (there's like 30 of them!) and the channels all have SO many videos that hunting down this specific one is just impossible. Sorry! If I stumble upon it I'll update this post.
We learned a lot about Rumia today, such as her not always doing a T-Pose everywhere she goes and not always saying "Is that so?" after someone else's statement. It's kinda refreshing.
Wholesome. Why do people think it’s sad? Dude makes a relationship with a deadly human eating youkai, makes a family with her, and they live happily ever after without anyone being eaten.
(Simply put (for now) coming from me for example): Yes. Agreed much. Lore-wise, I am still Not loving this one area of fictional verses/settings out there.
