for the record, at 9:00 you don't need to PUSH the panel down at all, you mess that thing up in a month. You simply touch the silver lining on the bottom of it and it closes...
Got damn these Cadillac vids tease me so much. Always wanted a Cadillac Escalade ever since I was like 6 yrs old. Always liked suvs. Luxury all day. Private jet of the road
You reviewed the Tahoe size, not the suburban size, so that’s why the third row and back cargo is small. Roman Atwood has the suburban size Cadillac Escalade, it’s awesome and huge.
Why the hell do the screens in back look so old? Also, why doesn't this have an independent rear or a pano sunroof? I understand that this is 5-6 years old but it's very expensive.
@@Snoopii27 Yes exactly Its so cool to game vintage while on the road! The road trips will be even better! Then when you want you can plug in the PS4 or Xbox One and play live with the HDMI & Onstar Wifi Hotspot! Wish I had this as a Kid! #CadillacKerry
Lincoln Navigator is superior in every way possible.... Im a GM guy, but a 100k Tahoe ain't doing it for me. I've always preferred the Denali over the Escalade and if you're spending this type of money get a Range Rover.... It's not just a chromed out minivan. It's actually a real luxury SUV that can be taken off road... Don't tell tell me about reliability, that's what your warranty is for
Cadillac is the king by a long shot. Even this old body style is still crushing it in sales. Lincoln has never in their entire history made a good vehicle ever. The navigator is the most depreciating vehicle on planet earth. There is a reason for that.
4:36 yeah it's basically a 1/2 ton Chevy Silverado 1500 on a regular cab short bed pick up truck frame of course you can tow something it's a truck 👍, like the Ford expedition or Lincoln navigator there just Ford F-150s to carry the family and have pick up truck functions and performance all at the same time that cool😎👍
And that is why I would just buy the Chevybasically this is how I see it the Chevy is the low in the GMC is mid-range and a Cadillac is the top shelf basically you're right this is a Chevrolet with dressed as a Cadillac
@@godofdestructiondiecast6756 in mi opinion that's why I would buy a full size suv cus I know it will be as reliable and have the same power train as a regular full-size pick up truck but able to carry everyone in it comfortable, plus pull a normal size trailer or camper at the same time when needed vs a mid size or compact crossovers those can only be used as grocery getters and they normally break all the time and there hard to work on, there just another little Honda on the road,
One last thing, I’ve seen a bunch of your reviews and I really like how professional and to the point they are, plus you really show off the important things.
I came here because I have a brand new Escalade as a rental while my Lincoln gets fixed from an accident (some douche hit me). I agree with your review completely. Nice ride!! The infotainment needs work and the 8 inch screen is kinda small for such a nice luxury vehicle. My Lincoln MKZ has the same issue. Crappy infotainment lol. Oh well. I think automakers are getting better in that department though. Still no one is on Tesla’s level when it comes to screens 😁
My 2018 has 2 USB ports and a 12 power point in the cargo area. I didn’t notice that in the one you reviewed. I have the 4wd Luxury and the biggest difference from the platinum are the seat controls. You really can upgrade all the other stuff, but not those seats. The cooler in the center console honestly had no appeal for me. All the controls and the CUE system are initially difficult to navigate, but once you learn all the features they are easy to use. I have WiFi with unlimited data and it is a truly awesome feature because you can have everyone connected to whatever they want to watch or do. Onstar truly sucks, once I run out of the free subscription I don’t renew it and much less now with WiFi connectivity. I agree entirely on your comments about the third row seat. I don’t understand why they did that in addition to raising the cargo area. My previous 2 Yukon’s, basically same design, were lower and the third row seats roomier, not great, but roomier. Fortunately for me the third row seat is for my dog and he hasn’t complained, yet. And the rest of the time it’s folded down. I keep my trucks for at least 15 years so it doesn’t seem too terrible for a bit of luxury in my life.
LOL HAHA KING MY ASS - LEXUS 570 1) escalade flaws A) thin cheap leather B) Ask any dealership about how many plastic ( wood ) displays they replace a year because of the heat from cracking C) 30% of every new fleet comes back with transmission problems D) The AC is not even comparable to any Japanese SUV especially a LEXUS GX or LX E) Beautiful design but you’re going to spend tons of money after 80,000 miles compared to the Lexus
Hasan wow dude that’s motivation. Being able to buy one of your parents a car !!🙏 congrats on your success. Any advice? 😂 I’m currently working but studying and planning for entrepreneurship and opening my businesses
@@yesDX thanks my bro I really appreciate that! If I had to legit advise you (something I would advise myself to this day) is to keep going and keep making an effort, and execute on your business goals now my bro and do not wait on it ( I literally went a similar route in my life as you and got my MBA in Finance/Marketing from a great school here but went through creating multiple businesses which many had failed while simultaneously going through school and graduating my bro until one or two of them of hit nice financially). Also, the main thing is, believe in yourself no matter what happens my bro and keep going through the failures until the success comes because it's inevitable and will come if you keep going and not letting up!!
Hasan thanks so much. That’s something that I just recently finally learned and accepted is that failure is okay and sometimes mandatory at first to elevate. I really appreciate you taking time out of your day and responding. Honestly makes me more excited to grind because I believe I will be successful, just need to keep working
Should of mentioned that this Escalade you reviewed was the short wheelbase(Tahoe) and the third row seat sits higher on the longer wheel base ESV version because the 3rd row sits on top of the rear axle rather then behind it on the short wheel base and the cargo room is much larger in rear as well with 3rd row up. Me personally I hate the short wheel base. ESV is the way to go! The Escalades are badass and nothing compares to these. Lincoln can try all they want because Cadillac is the Boss!
@@samlung2724 yea, I dont think he minds the shifter, just saying that it needs more of a " luxury " feel. Any center console shifter in a luxury car is always wrapped in alcan tera, leather, stainless, chrome, anything like that. The majority of column shifters are just ugly flat black plastic, even in luxury cars. I think they should bring back the " 3 on the tree " 😉😂
I'm late, but nice enthusiastic review. When I wanted to switch to a full-size I went to Lincoln first because of all the great reviews and everyone saying RIP Cadillac blabla on the Internet. I left a bit confused because yeah the interior was nice but I didn't like the exterior. Then I went to Cadillac, knowing fully well that the model is about to be renewed in a year or 2 max. On my test drive, I just felt in love, that N/A V8, wow. So I got the 2019 ESV Platinum and I got a nice 10K rebate off MSRP cause the 2020 was coming soon, and I'm glad I got the 2019 cause on the 2020 they deleted 3 screens. Anyway subbed.
Talal Obaid i like the land rover for some off road trips. But it needs fixing all the damn time. Engine failure, transmission failure, horn wont sound, AC having issues, and my airbags failed to set off twice. And my friend sold his escalade for a lincoln navigator for reliability.
Thank you for voting the Escalade the "King of the SUV's" are you currently driving in one? I agree by the way the Escalade is my favorite! #CadillacKerry
I personally love the exterior and doesn't look outdated. But the interior of this car is way outdated and doesn't represent the 100k price tag. The tech needs to be refreshed too. Just my opinion.
Thanks for the video. Just picked up a new ESV blue with Kona brown and it’s stunning. Currently there are substanti savings with incentives and discounts. I just can’t justify paying sticker for the redesigned ones once they are introduced. The current ones are gorgeous.
Further from my comment below the entertainment system I would’ve touched base on the apple CarPlay and android auto and those benefits. Just saying still not a bad review but being a family car mention more on the advanced safety features and less on the alcantara
I hope they ditch the shift lever. Its like going to a fancy restaurant with China dinnerware and crystal stem ware then you realize you have plastic silverware.....
Terrible 3rd row design and lack of space. Expected a real 3rd row with connectivity. Then with the 3rd row down there was no luggage space. Shocking how small this Escalade is from the 2nd row onwards. Dissapointing for sure.
Nice review overall, but if I was doing a walk around review I would strongly hit the advanced safety package. Starting with the forward collision system that alerts and will break automatically if in someone or something pulls out infront of you. Also as big as the the car is I would’ve touched base on the blind spot monitoring that’s a big selling points. Lastly the rear cross traffic alert, not trying to critique you. I too am in the business at Chevy Tampa. Having won numerous walk around contest in Florida and national contest, these are some of the more important features/benefits people would find more attractive then just mentioning the alcatera interior...
I saw this comment and it made me laugh because I said the same thing. We have 2 Escalade’s just like this model in my family my mom has a 2019 Escalade ESV and my grandma has a 2019 escalade platinum we’ve taken both on long trips and in my moms I was able to get 26.4 mpg as the best and in my grandmas we were able to get 28. They’re actually pretty good on gas and they have a big fuel tank. I drive a 2019 Nissan Armada my gas mileage is a around 13 if I’m in town but if I’m on a long trip I get 24. All these big SUVs can get good gas mileage if you go on a long trip. I will definitely say that I’m at the gas pumps a lot more than my mom and grandma 😂😂. We love out big SUVs. I will also say once you go to an escalade ESV or a Suburban or Yukon XL if your like me you won’t want to drive anything smaller. The space is wonderful if your grocery shopping or like I said how we go on trips the space is wonderful for trips. Not to mention the safety of a giant suv like these.... safety is what we’re more concerned about.
The dashboard looks very neat and tidy. The infotainment system looks neat and tidy. It may look too classic but interior familiarity is the strong point. Neat and tidy are what really count the most. Also, the very rear row seats can be tinkered in order for passengers to sit more comfortably by redesigning the leg rests at the front part of the very rear row seats by means of partitioning the leg cushioning in a way: heightened ballooning-cushioning therefore your knees won't be touching your chin if by-accident (2 cushion setup leg rest for the human buttocks/backside on every seat ...sorry... with the very end of the leg rest part is elevated to a hump-like design, so to speak, and the second part of the leg rest mainly the buttocks to be supported by means of something like bucket designed). Bottom line: a kind of "modified bucket seat design configuration setup" on the very rear row seats that resembles like a "dip" (somewhat ergonomically slanted on the buttocks part of the seat for the buttocks to easily-comfortably settle into the seat's cushioning).
The Escalade will always be top choice just from its name alone. Pricing is dead on and if you want the Chevrolet version that’s also a fruitful option. Long live the ESCALADE
Why not make the 3rd row an option ? And give you the option of just 5 passengers . Regular seat in the back for 3 people and just a good size trunk area. Not everyone who buys these has 15 kids some of us just have 2
I’d have to say the Navigator would be the pick over this. Much nicer interior. It has the Raptor v6 twin turbo setup in its base config and out accelerates the Escalade, even with its gas guzzling V8.
