We just purchased a 2021 Traverse RS. You definitely get a lot of bang for the buck. They ride nice, look good and have a ton of room inside. The only two zonks I would add is there is no way to disable the auto stop feature without manipulating the break pedal at a light, and they could add another 30-50 horses under the hood. Other than that, we really enjoy our new SUV. Keep the reviews and Twinkies rolling.
I drove Traverse, Enclave, Ascent, Highlander, Cx9, Telluride, Atlas and Palisade. Traverse and Ascent were the most comfortable but Traverse was very loud and $5,000 more for the same trim level. We love our Ascent
Joe: Excellent review, as usual -- thanks! The Traverse is one of the few SUVs that can carry an 8' x 4' plank flat. Although not everyone needs to carry such an item in their SUVs, I think that perhaps you may want to mention that in future tests of SUVs that have such a capability, since for some of your viewers it may be interesting.
Joe, You said the display screen opens up James Bond style, but you sang the theme from Mission Impossible..now that’s a zonk!😂..love watching your videos here in Las Vegas!
As someone with 3 kids and the captains chairs in their 2019 Traverse, it is absolutely essential to have the center row be as wide as possible to make sure they get their fat asses to the third row as quickly as possible while strapping in the baby... trust me.
Oscar Lopez the Explorer runs up to over 60K, the Highlander hits $54K, the pilot hits $55K, & the Durango hits over 60K (all fully loaded). The Palisade & Telluride fo not have near as many options as the ladder mentioned because they are budget brands. You can get a well equipped Traverse for less than 40K. My aunt got a 2018 Traverse LT for $37K and it’s super niceee, has tons of room and a lot of features, never once had to take it to the shop besides getting the oil changed
Great one as always Joe, the kid hauler ship pretty well sailed for me, they have they're own rides now...lol, but still great info. My wife's a RU-vidr so I know what the watch time means. Keep up the great work.
You bet pal, wife's channel is age is just a number by Barbara Jean. It's women's fashion, she just launched 8 weeks ago and 129 subs and and vids are getting lots of views.
Man I was literally laughing the entire length of this review!!! The engine cover bit took me out and then the interior section took me out all over again and then the drive section laid me all the way out bruh!!!! Hey I hope you do stand up comedy on the side cuz this is great content!!!! Please considering doing a video of your ten best/worst cars/SUV's/ Trucks etc and then a collection video with the worst zonks etc... Man you're the best!!!! Keep this great content coming man!!!
The Traverse High Country is the only crossover I'd get, mostly because of it's bold design, but color, oh that beautiful red. Or it could be that I'm biased towards GM.
@@RaitisRides joe, can the chevy traverse high country and the premiere support a bench seat in the second row, and if not, can you explain to me why both models does not support a bench seat in the second row.
It's a nice vehicle, I'd remove the traverse badge on the doors. I think at that price though, I'd lean more towards the Durango. I know it's not exactly the same class, but it's close enough.
Great Review! However, I'd use the Engine Cover, as a serving tray for snacks, for people in the third row! 😂 Much more appealing, than the GMC Acadia!
@@RaitisRides Grasshopper, listens and learns, from Sensei! I do like this vehicle, as a poor man's version of GM's, full size offerings! The Premier edition. Is just as nice, and save $6,000.00, over the H/C!
People forget this option on this Traverse. It is a Dual clutch awd system. All the others supposedly better than this vehicle does not offer that. Only system that is better than the dual clutch is suburu awd system. Also, it all depends on use of these vehicles.
this definitely can’t beat with some competitors outhere! the only thing good here is the space behind the 3rd row. You never mention of any safety features on this car like Blind Spot Monitoring, Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert, 360 Camera, etc. etc. is there any on this car?
A great video that completely explains whether the 2020 Chevy Traverse High Country is a 3-row SUV or not. Click here for more- www.carsinsane.com/2020-chevy-traverse-high-country-climbs-peaks-and-valleys-of-suburbia/
I like everything about this Traverse except the price, but then again I may be biased because I like chevy. I have been looking for something to replace my Envoy XL with a real usable 3rd row and this is the only thing in its class without going into a full-sized body on frame vehicle yes there are some things that should and could have been done better but you have to take some of the bad in order to get that adult-sized 3rd-row seat.
I’m looking for a vehicle that is reliable and also that I can be confident in. My goal is to put a LOT of miles in it traveling across the country. What would you recommend?
Traverse is the most roomy 3 row suv and its super quiet. If it wasn’t for the looks it would have been the best 3 row suv out there and finally GM is fixing the ugly for the 2021 and up model years. The upcoming one looks so much better. However the price is really high but remember guys GM products can be bought way below MSRP, in fact this one can be bought for somewhere around 45 to 49 grand.
can you get a traverse without the 3rd row? I want the cargo room. If you want a 3rd row get a minivan. I can't stand how crossovers have adopted the 3rd row.
hey joe..i live up in central or...we are gettin a ton of snow..get stuc in this...yep ..pop the hood n use the engine cover as a sled 2 go down the mountain 4 help/u know...should seriously think about a comedy run on t-v!!
Hi Raiti's. I find the front of this car too down and very close to the soil. Its possible to have a model where the front of this model is little bit high? I hope you will understand my question. I am a french speaker. Thank you
Great reveiw this engine as u said is very noisy where the competion managed to control the noise much better plus the residual value of this chevy is very poor
car wizard is full of shit..the 3.6 engine failures are due to lack of proper lubrication that damages the timing chains...that is the lazy owners fault.
i just have the 2020 Ls base model….for $30k i add $5k for accessories interior/exterior with 2” lift and all weather tire…man this high county trim is nothing compared to aftermarket upgradesd i did and my neighbor who want to buy it for $40k😅
Drives the car for 10 miles and calls it a review? LOL....Doesn't mention the engine start/stop has no off switch, a deal killer. This is nothing but an advertisement for that Chevy dealer.
Great SUV to lease or buy them used due to very heavy depreciation. I bet you can buy a used one with warranties for 25%- 35% discount off regular price. I think most GM’s are overpriced. They want $56k for this one which does not include sales tax. Very attractive vehicle. Great for young families. The minute you drive off the lot you will lose $5k.
In my opinion, Chevy doesn't have the proven reputation for long term reliability that Toyota has for their vehicles. Just purchased a FWD 2020 Highlander XLE...couldn't be happier!! MSRP was $39,600....plus tax & license. Beautifully redesigned, quality upscale interior, V6 engine power under the hood! My "shopping for a car" test drive completely surpassed the test drive with the RAV4.
