I can’t believe Dodge is killing off these amazing cars! This review has over 13 mins of ON THROTTLE action. Make sure you see the TWO separate burnouts I did! They are a great way to send this beast off! You guys are #1! 😎👍🏻
Joe Raiti, you are the KING of car reviews and on throttle action. Nobody will ever be able to touch you. You sir are #1. I wonder what the news is on the EV charger? I heard they might offer a V6 variant?
Not only that, but Challenger is an instantly recognizable car, because it has such a Unique and Historical look. You cannot mistake Challenger for any other car brands or models.
Man such a beautiful car! Sucks there’s only 300 made. Love all the unique touches Dodge put on the ghost. Especially the challenge or emblems on the side. Imagine pulling up next to someone thinking it’s just a regular challenge? They minds will be blown! Awesome video my guy!
It was great to see you made this beast disappear into the smokes when you fired up the engine! American muscle cars will always be the legends! Thanks Joe for yet another great review!
....unfortunately entire story is extremely inaccurate....didn't wanna say lie....but I guess you can call it that....Black Ghost was not a king of Woodward Ave.....not even close just a stock 14 second Challenger....Still a very nice and very rare piece of Mopar history....
@@RaitisRides idk the exact whole story but basically ford came out with the mach e to keep the v8 on its muscle car. It has something to do with regulations
Last comment from me. For $99K (plus markup) I wish Dodge would’ve had a special (or just updated) infotainment/gauge looking area. And I agree, the money is under the hood, but that’s a whole lotta money for that engine. Just my $0.02. Oh and yes, I would still love one! ❤😅 *Edit* There is no better supercharger whine in the industry!
Love your videos Joe. Keep ‘‘em coming. It look liked launching the car the few times you did, aged you a little bit. Can’t imagine the amount of power being thrown at you like that. Livin the dream getting to drive these things!
Black Ghost, based on an embellished story manufactured by Godfrey Qualls' son. The man's name is Godfrey Quall's not Callum and he was a veteran, Special Forces, Purple Heart recipient but the story of the '70 Challenger beating everything in Detroit was the fictional part of the story.
Honestly, ever since the Hellcat, Redeye, and Demon, I feel like once you've seen 1 Challenger and Charger, you've pretty much seen them all. This platform has been milked more than a 🐄
Awesome review joe! Thanks for also mentioning the tire issue these mopars come with from the factory. I have upgraded to the Pilot Sport 4’s and they make a world of a difference in traction!
Great job and thanks for bringing this one. You, Steven and Lori are the BEST 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 An honorable tribute to the car that ruled the streets of Detroit 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 back in the early ‘70’s. For us MOPAR fans, Stellantis (Dodge) has turned their backs on the generations that got us here. Instead, it’s all about corporate/dealership greed, with these cars going to the highest bidder 🤬.
Canadians are willing to pay too but sadly Stellantis isn’t shipping any pre ordered Challengers or Chargers to our Country! I ordered my ScatPack WB Charger in April 2022 and still no build date for me. I live 2 hours from where they’re being built and all shipped to the USA! Not cool
I've said it before, I'll say it again, these challengers are like the iPhones of the car world. They never really change much appearance wise, even on the different trim levels.
Even if you get passed the MSRP of $99K. The biggest issue will be dealers doing a stealership mark-up adjustment of (30K-50K) most likely more due to 1 of 300.
@whereisthedollar - "past", and your sentence structure is wrong. Let's try: "Even if you get past the MSRP of $99K, the biggest issue will be the dealers. They'll want a stealership mark-up of $30-50K due to only 300 being made.
Wow. What a great machine. I am a Chev guy. But Dodge just keeps giving us these great machine. I might have to add one of these Black Ghost to my car collection. What a way to send this video with a double patch of rubber left on the asphalt . Great Video Joe. I think you are having way to much fun. Great video. The time is near when in about 15 to 20 years these cars will be worth their weight in gold. Forget the stock market . Stock up on some American muscle machines. Joe and Lori . You guys are great . Thank Joe
There's a video on U-Tube showing what appears to be a totalled new black ghost. Apparently the owner didn't realize this car finds objects that are stationary. I like the car, but why $90,000+. Its still a Challenger with a performance Hemi and the standard features of what a Challenger RT came with that a few years ago sold for Many Thousands Less. I enjoyed your road test, but I don't see this as a daily driver. It's close to being a track only car because of it's high horsepower and short wheel base
Thanks to your videos. You're the reason why I got my gold rush 50th anniversary. Watched that video endlessly every night knowing when my opportunity came. I'd get the gold rush. Thank you
Thanks Joe! Fantastic homage given to the real Black Ghost in your review. Dodge hit it out the park with this replica. That’s one bad Mo Fo Muscle Car…wouldn’t change a thing with it. Back in the muscle car era, when I went through basic training, my drill sergeant would say “Smoke em if you got them”. You certainly did smoke them😂.
First and foremost congrats 🍾 on the 1M plus subs… I remember when you’re channel was at 100K… Hard work really pays off… Awesome review on this muscle car… 💪🏾
All your advice is spot on! You can get in trouble very fast in this car. I have the 2021 Redeye and it’s a total blast with the paddle shifters. I have the dark warp speed rims and like them much better than those Shiny ones. Also all black. Mine is loaded without a sun roof and hood clamps but I was at $95K sticker. Thanks
Great review Joe! What a shame to see these cars go by the wayside. I don’t like it at all. Love the on throttle action. Great stuff! Thanks for bringing it to us.
Great Joe on this review on the Black Ghost. Wow what a great muscle machine. I am a Chev guy from way back . I might have to add this car to my collection. I can't believe all of the car companies are going electric. Keep the V8 Engine under the hoods of all of the performance cars. I will never own an electric muscle car. Great Job Joe on the Review on this car. A great car with history tied to it. You guys are # 1 on these reviews. Keep up the great work.
Wonderful review as always! Joe absolutely needs a Redeye. You can tell the love you have for this car and all the reviews over the years always are top notch. I gotta say, regarding this special edition, I'm not a fan of the white tail stripe or the rims color. I think it would look better just blacked out. Also would be nice if it had some unique Black Ghost exterior badging. Would love to see you own one! It was partially because of your reviews that I picked up my Widebody Scat Challenger and it is my favorite car I've ever owned. Cheers!
Joe, I think you should buy one of these cars. Limited quantity, there's your bragging rights, it's FAST, gas powered, need I say more. Joe and Lori taking a ride in their new Black Ghost.
The Challenger is, and always will be my favorite Muscle Car of all time. I drive a Challenger Scat, and love every minute I'm in it. I will try for a Super Stock at some point, and park it next to my Scat. I think you would love the Super Stock Joe!
This has to be the best video I have watched on RU-vid. The pure joy your voice Joe is just awesome. Like a kid in a toy store …This is and will probably be the closest to experiencing this thing I will ever have …. Loved it
Absolutely,.Thank you so much Joe for sharing much appreciated indeed… This is the one about continuing make a fantastic History no matter what Dodge Challenger series are a massive difference make about everywhere you drive one of those…people come to talk..take pictures..ask questions…and so forth as my own Dodge Challenger white Apache Stripes (I’m Proud)…On the highway,.motorway…the taste of Joy..Gratitude…plus the sense of a pure Freedom Priceless….. Walk and Drive in Beauty…..
Another great review Joe beautiful car. I think though I would almost have to throw the race and lose because you get a free twinkies definitely Joe is the best car reviewer on RU-vid he makes the reviews fun and you learn alot about the vehicle.
Get the hellcat redeye jailbreak then you can custom order it exactly how you want it the superstocks a good car to they do ride a little different suspension is a little different some say that the super stock suspensions a little on the mushy side, but super stock could be more valuable in the long run also I’ve heard that you can order a hellcat redeye jail break in a six speed stick shift. I hear that’s coming back now. Not sure if you can order the super stock in a stick shift but that would be my advice. Good luck. I hope you get one and join the brotherhood. Thanks again for all the videos.
Steve very nice camera work! Better ask the BOSS if you can get one your fans will only get you in trouble! Yeah, get one! Another great video, thank you!
Joe, love your videos. That triangular shape by the air vent at the 11:00 mark is called the Fratzog. As always, l enjoyed watching your high quality work! Thanks for sharing
Sad to see these cars go, im happy dodge made a few throwback special editions atleast. Badass car for sure, one of these Black Ghost models have already been wrecked sadly, I believe.
Man going to miss these cars down the road. So glad I have an original Durango hellcat sitting in the garage. (Not a reissue.) Do agree the black ghost should be #’d. But I think all hellcats should be. They r all special. Thanks for the review. Awesome!
The 2008-2014 Challenger front and rear fascias were styled after the 1970 Challengers. The 2015 and on cars are styled like the 1971 cars. The Black Ghost was a 1970 Challenger. Should have used the 2008-2014 front and rear fascias for the Black Ghost. Yes?
