Joe, the moment this vehicle sold me was when you pointed out that the rear glass wiper has FINALLY been tucked underneath the spoiler. Geezzz... took them long enough! Even that Bentley Bentayga didn't have the rear glass wiper tucked underneath the spoiler! Just an FYI... years ago, the Denali trim USED to be very upscale. However, over the past 10 or 12 years, it had become only a minor upscale trim. With the "Ultimate" tag, this one is truly upscale.
I understand the aesthetics of it on the outside, but functionally it's better to have the wiper on the bottom. In order to easily see the road out the back, you want the clear part of the wiped window to be wider on the bottom. I've been in vehicles with the wiper on top, and it's horrible to properly see when it's raining. Then when it dries, it's even worse. You're constantly needing to clean the rear window in order to safely see everything. Now, the fact that this has a digital rear view mirror makes it just fine to have the wiper on top. Every vehicle should have one of those! I love them! Hopefully it becomes standard across all automakers soon.
Joe, very confusing the dark chrome and shiny chrome? It should be all dark chrome in my opinion. The Navigator has more horsepower and better fuel mileage. The Lincoln has on the Black Label a map of Central Park like C GmC has the map of Mt Denali. GMC is a step ahead of Ford especially with the rear wiper and dual exhaust. You could say the Denali is a dressed up Chevy Tahoe/Suburban.
🇺🇸 *LOVE this NEW Yukon Denali Ultimate* !! *LIKE the real knobs on the dash for climate control* !! *SUPER to see the hidden compartments in the center stack* !! *GREAT job Joe and Steven* !! *LOL* !! *"We just had a rock to play with"* !! #RaitisRides 🇺🇸
Fun fact, once the center console is slid back, the top part still slides forward so the driver/passenger still has an arm rest 🤘🏼 Can’t find a thing wrong with our Denali Ultimate
This is a beautiful full size SUV. I like the color, the wheels, the interior is nice, cool how there is no longer a column shift. GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate is a mouthful. Thanks for the review from the Chicago Auto Show and now the on throttle action!
@Raiti's Rides, LOL @ 24:05 What are you talking about Joe? Let's be real here you wouldn't buy this GMC if they paid you. It drives like a boat, it guzzles gas faster than a mukbang eater, and your butt would prefer your FL5 Type-R anyday of the week~ 😂🤣
I love the Denali Ultimate and the power of the Escalade V. If I had the money I would get a Yukon Denali Ultimate and have Hennessy give it the V treatment. That would be the perfect combination of style and power. Love the video and a big shout out to the woman behind the camera!
Have been a lincoln owner for the last 20 years once they went to a V6 it lost my interest i love the traditional power the denali keeps naturally aspirated V8 this is a truck that I will look to purchase in the near future
Neither copied the other, the Escalade looks nothing like the Yukon cosmetically. They’re actually vastly different on the front rows and on the exterior. Of course they will look similar , they’re of the same architecture.
I test drove the Denali Ultimate, Escalade Sport Platinum, and Navigator Black Label multiple times because it seemed like a tough choice. But in the end the Navigator has much better build quality, ride comfort, and shared experience with passengers. It was also the most expensive of the 3 (ignoring the Escalade V). The Escalade dash is very cool but ignores the passenger. The GMC Denali Ultimate competes with the Ford Expedition Platinum with top group options. It really wasn't in the race after I got in the Escalade and Navigator. I don't think you can go wrong with any of these vehicles but in this current generation of SUVs, its Cadillac vs Lincoln.
Nice vehicle, however just a quick note, on the Cadillac escalade they do offer the diesel engine, in fact I have a relative who got sports ESV with diesel
Everytime I see the yukon I think of Optimus Prime❤❤❤!!! My only thing is that ultimate literally is just a 2021-22 Denali. They took away features from the Denali just to give it back as an "Ultimate" for what you originally would've gotten in a 2021-22 Denali? Plus, encroaching on Escalade prices might as well go Escalade. The only reason I can see Tahoe is outselling these is because they stayed significantly lower than the Escalade's price point. Beautiful truck though great work Raiti's Ride!
Joe in my opinion I think what GMC should of done was make the Ultimate a trim of its own and keep the Denali a step below. This is as luxurious as it gets and of u get any more luxurious they might as well add a trim called the Yukon Escalade Edition 😆 Also Joe the last SUV that I'm interested in will be the Palisade XRT. Thanks Raiti! 👍
No “ultimate” badging anywhere? 🤔 No big deal really but I’ll pass. I had a Yukon & had lifter failure at 5,000 miles. Luckily it was still under warranty but I’ve known some people who weren’t so lucky. I traded it after it was repaired. No more GM for me.
Love the video content!!! I am torn with colors!!! Joe I need help! Titanium Rush or Volcanic Red? I can’t decide!!! Your thoughts? Keep the content up your the best!!!!
Hi rati! I love your videos. No matter what you review, I always watch. A pointer, wish you’d go over the suspension more. Does this have air bags? I didn’t know you couldn’t get the diesel on the Escalade. Great video as always
😊Escalade has been offered with a 3.0L turbo diesel Duramax Diesel option, since the 2021 model. They also started offering a Supercharged 6.2L V8 with 682HP!! It's called the Escalade V. No dealer is selling it @ MSRP... They're selling for as high as $230k!!! 😡30 to 70k OVER sticker.
Joe- great review as always. I checked the Cad Escalade build site and the 3.0 T-Diesel is still offered by Cadillac as a 1600.00 option on Sport Plat.
The Navigator is much better vehicle in overall comfort for all passengers.. 3 memory settings for front and passengers and heated/ventilated and messaging seats are offered.. GM doesn't offer that on anything no matter the price point.
Hopefully inventory starts stacking up at dealers so we can see 10-15k off the MSRP. Some dealers are already doing it on trucks, but even with 10k off, you are in the 90k range. Total insanity!!! 120k SUV if you start clicking all the boxes. I don't know how people are buying these things with those massive MSRP prices, and 5-8% interest rates lol.
Idk man i feel the screen needs to be a lot larger at that price looks small for me I'd have to squint unless my knees are on the wheel lol Love it when you go full throttle woooo!
Joe once again you knocked out the park with this review. Just one thing I noticed with your reviews. You never show the sunroof while you're talking about it. Other than that you are amazing at what you do. Oh yeah can we get Lori to do a review one day.. Y'all trading places would be dope and fun to see. Joe on photography and Lori on reviews. Lol
I just have to admit after driving GM trucks since 1981 (two K-Blazers and a Yukon) that GMC is asking stupid money for what they add to this Ultimate. Especially in a marketplace with dealer markup and no GM incentives. But they're not the only one that has reached the squeal point on their MSRPs. It's just idiocy.
Raiti, can you weigh in on the SUV versus minivan conversation? As big as this is (122.9 cu/ft of storage with the seats down), a minivan has more. Ex. Pacifica has 140.5. Most SUV owners don’t go off-road or need to tow something over 3500 pounds. People are paying $40-50k more for SUVs for less space and comparable luxury.
