Is the 2023 Lexus RX 350h the BEST new luxury SUV to buy? 

Walked in the Lexus dealership last week. I am now driving my brand new RX350h premium plus nebula gray with saddle interior. 😩☺️❤️ There’s no way I was going to leave it behind for someone else to scoop up. Never in my life have I made a decision on a whim. Needless to say, it’s insanely beautiful and drives like a dream.

No fake exhaust ports, and turn signals high up, visible & amber in color. Everything I love to see on the rear of a crossover! excellent video, Mr. Raiti

You missed the safety part of the electric doors 😮😂 they won’t open if they know a car or bike is coming. Great safety feature in the city. We have an NX350H and love it!

Definitely considering this one. We have a 2006 Lexus RX that my folks bought with 4 miles. It just passed 191,000 miles. It’s a tank.

Took delivery of a RX500h F-Sport Performance this past Thursday. The ride is great, and the options to change engine options are just as good. Not having to pay extra for a hybrid compared to other makers helped with the decision. Dealer had 33 different RX's in stock, and by the time I took delivery, they were down to 11, and that wasn't even 24 hours. They started to use other areas for delivery of new vehicles due to how many they were selling. As for the roof rails, asked where they were, and the consultant said they're flush. Since I was paying cash and no discounts on hybrids. Was given 4 year 50k maintenance and tire/wheel package for free. I'm in love with the comfort and ride after being in an accident that caused 10 herniated discs and other physical issues. Was all in on an MB GLE350 until I drove the RX.

Lexus have the best front design! Sleek, sharp, futuristic, and sophisticated. The rear is great too!

The heated and cooling seats in all seats plus 14” screen is a excellent feature

Very nice looking SUV. Of all the many reviews I have seen on this vehicle you are the only one that actually made sense when you mentioned the use of lettering for the back logo instead of the emblem. There is doorsill lighting available on the RX as an option. Love that it has a spare tire! Glad that there is a performance hybrid available.

You forgot to mention the Nuluxe interior vs. leather. The leather has a more refined feel and makes a huge difference on the steering wheel. My mom just got hers a few weeks ago in Caviar. She loves it. Totally worth the price. They can't keep them in stock. Smooth ride and great handling. She said the gas savings have been amazing.

Good Review. The new RX will be one of the most reliable vehicles. If you can afford go for it . Thecprice is really high though.

Not a fan of using the touch screen to access the different drive modes and the volume as well as the CVT but it's still an awesome vehicle

I just bought the RX 350h Premium + and it was the best decision I could have made, I absolutely LOVE it in CAVIAR with the black leather interior, I can't get enough of it, great video too BTW. I got rid of a TESLA Y and don't regret it for a minute, this is a REAL car, that was a glorified golf cart😹

Look at that colour!!😱😱 and with the sun hitting it, my goodness it just sparkles!! Lexus always find ways to make an impression, both in style and performance. Gorgeous looking green machine!!

The interior appears to be quite better now.. that power source at the back was definitely always needed, as was the heated / ventilated back seats..

My dealer had 8, and in less than 24 hrs, we got the last one. Vehicle is awesome++++. Good luck finding 1, Cars Direct on Thursday am, reports there are none in the USA. BTW, everything Joe says is positively dead on. We are truly very happy with our RX350!

I love the Nori Green color the design is beautiful the RX series has been around since the 90s and hasn't lost its touch. I'd go for one in this color.

I test drove both the RX 350h and the NX 350h. Called hubby who told me decide. Definitely preferred the NX. I was shocked. Better off the line and handling around corners. Now let’s see how long for the wait😮

There is an option to add the lights on the door step, as well as the same spot under the trunk door, and the step out floor logo light. I think they were a couple hundred each to add.

Yesterday, the hubs and I walked into our local Lexus dealership to see if I could take a look at any of the RX350’s to see if I would even like one. Lucky for me, someone changed their mind on one and I was able to snag a 350h! I love it! It was the only one they had in stock-no added bs dealer mark up! Excited to be able to use 87 octane 😂

I don't know if it is necessarily the Best buy. But it is definitely the smartest buy. That thing will last 200k miles. Easy.

I like it. The front looks like "Alien" but the back is beautiful. Better than the open mouth bass look from before.

I have great respect for Lexus, nice to see that they are shifting towards younger clientele. Lexus can definitely hit the ballpark if they come up with some X5 and X6 competitor 💪

I didn't like the touch steering wheel controls when I test drove it, they're programable but I like actual buttons. I'm waiting to see the Grand Highlander before I decide which to buy.

I hear most reviewers complain about hvac controls in the screen. I’ll be honest Joe, I set it and forget it, have a ‘22 Prius Prime and have not adjusted the temp or air direction in many many months- the car is amazing about figuring out what is needed to defrost the windows, heat the cabin and keep the occupants comfy - same thing with the drive mode - set it and forget it - Toyota does a great job about programming the vehicle to know what is needed, just trust mother Toyota and she will take good care of you

You should have never gotten rid of the 6 cylinder engine.. what do you think is better the Acura MDX or Lexus RX

Just ordered my new RX350h Luxury. White pearl with macadamia & bamboo wood trim interior. Test drove the hybrid premium. We’re looking at about 1 month for delivery- it’s in “A” status on the train heading my way. Anyone know what “A status” means?

I have one, but it’s not a hybrid and it’s the new green. I just haven’t learned all of the adjusting like controls and everything and what everything does on the screen I really haven’t learned all of that yet. I wish I knew everything but it’s kind of overwhelming.

Joe, I just bought a beautiful '23 RX350h in metallic white (premium + and loaded with options). But I need a 2" hitch for a bike rack. I think I notices a hitch receiver on the car you reviewed. Am I correct? If so where can I get one? My Lexus dealer was no help at all...David R.

The really big deal breaker for me with these is the compromised cargo space. The angle on the back gives it substantially less cargo space than some key competitors and in a wagon that is a shame. Everything else should be great in particularly the reliability and comfort.

Can u turn off the stop engine button at lights? Most cars have the switch to turn off that feature!!!!!

Price isn't out of line. The performance is all you need. But that new corporate proboscis leaves me flat. We'll keep the 2020 a bit longer. Looks like a lot of quality for a reasonable price. IMHO.

Our 2024 350h Luxury is set to arrive this week. Very excited to compare to our 2020 and 2016 models.

Have a deposit down on one of these cars after loving the RAV4 hybrid acceleration but not the lack of luxury. Not in love with the low hanging grill or the black interior no matter what color you choose, i.e., “macadamia” is about 70% black, 30% off white. But the options of Premium, Premium plus, Luxury, and Sport Plus packages allowed me to get the safety, tech, and luxury features I wanted. Color choices are interesting, too. Nori green was my fave but not around, am getting the nightfall mica blue, but would have also taken the copper crest color after seeing it in person. (Not as bright as I thought it would be. Pretty!) Thanks for explaining that “shifting” paddle.

THIS is the one I've been waiting for since Sept 2022! I didn't think I'd like the Nori Green, but it looks really nice! It took me some time to get used to it, but I like the new grill. The features for rear passengers are great! There's nothing like a ventilated seat and cool air blowing at you when you get in a 🥵car or heated seat when it's 🥶. Wish they kept the Lexus badge on the back . Perhaps they'll add it back in the 2024, along with some knobs, toggles and widgets. I too would like to see the Eco, Sport and Normal options somewhere outside of the screen so you don't have to go into the infotainment to change them up. Another great video by you and Lori. You two are my 'go to' people for opinions! If you had to choose an SUV in this class, what would YOU get?

I have a 2023 Nissan Murano and one of my constant concerns is how long the CVT will last so I’m absolutely not going to consider any vehicle with a CVT as my next purchase. Great video, thanks!

We bought a 350 RX 2023 to weeks ago. We love it in so many ways but it definitely does not have the same amount of room as earlier models including the 2022. I love your enthusiasm, but the middle section is much tighter, more narrow feeling, lower headspace and does not have the leg room that the 2022 had. Having a bit of buyers remorse.

Great review Joe! Problem is, here in Canada where this vehicle is made, this vehicle loaded is $80,000 CAD and if you finance it over 5 years it ends being like $100,000. Not really worth it.

Not seeing this version at $59k. We're seeing it over $60k easily for lux hybrids. Didn't talk about the quarky cruise control touch buttons - multi purpose. I drove one and the car was beeping at me (2x non-attentive) and cars/people moving around the vehicle, etc. The car was nice but the price tag seems to be pushing it and I don't think it's worth $63k to $65k for getting the lux options. There are many other lux cars to review at this price point.
